Circular saw table (complete design, drawings)

Makeshift circular saw table. my second development of a homemade circular table. This table is designed to be easier to build than my first one, but it has no tilt mechanism. (The tilt mechanism in the version was difficult to assemble and align, and required expensive high-quality plywood to be strong enough, so this (version ) does not have a tilt mechanism).

I prepared a detailed set of drawings for this machine.

  • Detailed drawings of each part of the circular table
  • 19 blueprints and part views
  • Full-scale multi-part printable templates.
  • Detailed instructions for assembling the circular table, over 150 photos
  • pictures of the finished circular table
  • A SketchUp table saw model that lets you view the table saw from any angle, disassemble it, or re-create each of the views in the plans by clicking the “scene” tabs in SketchUp. SketchUp. Free, easy to use CAD software.

Some useful little things to know

Switching on the circular hand saw can be done in several ways.

The easiest and most misguided way to do this is to secure the locking button and plug it directly into the powerpack, and then disconnect it if necessary. It is contraindicated to do so for 2 reasons:

The 2nd way is probably the most common. Everything is fixed, but the saw is not plugged in, but in an adapter with an off button.

The 3rd way is the most correct way, but it could void your warranty. It is necessary to put a plastic billet for the on and off buttons on the table panel. Replace the wire with a plug with a wire that will be directly connected to these buttons. Safe for both the craftsman and the saw.

In fact it is not necessary that the saw has to be secured exactly to the bottom of the table. Many ways have been invented whereby the circular saw can be moved overhead by means of additional aids. Thus, if the blade of the circular saw is equipped with a special platform on one side, making in advance the bar from an aluminum rectangular tube about 1 cm high and securing it to the sawn surface strictly parallel to the cut, it is possible to perform a precise cut. This is made possible by the fact that the saw is moved along the guide rail by means of a platform without changing the distance to the edge of the cut.

There are a variety of circular plunge saws. They have a controllable fixture that holds the saw over the product, lowering as needed.

A stationary table can also be purchased along with the saw.

In this section we would like to say a few words about the saw blades themselves. They come in:

The first 2 kinds of saw blades differ in the way they are sharpened. A so-called negative sharpening angle is used for cross-cutting work.

When a craftsman does not know what he will saw, or the range of products requires sawing in different directions, it is recommended to use universal discs. This will prevent the need to change saw blades frequently. The teeth of such discs are made of excellent material.

You need to read the saw instructions carefully.

Circular saw features

Knowing these features is extremely important, you must take into account the modes of operation of the saw, know the type of loads and take all possible measures to strengthen the most important nodes. Only with this approach can you achieve long and safe operation of a homemade machine.

What are the common features of woodworking machines?

High blade speed. This is how the quality of the cut is ensured. But the high speed of the saw blade causes serious injuries and great care must be taken during the construction of the machine. It is mandatory to install all the devices available on the industrial copies Do not think that some of them are superfluous, and you can upgrade the factory samples for the better. All points of the safety rules are written in the blood of injured people, do not repeat tragic mistakes.

It is not meant the ability to withstand considerable static loads, although it is very important. The table can easily absorb great forces of this kind, but at the same time vibrate from even relatively minor dynamic multidirectional loads. Such a condition does not negatively influence the safety engineering, but noticeably worsens the quality of the saw cut

On the surface of the lumber are noticeable traces of teeth, it is difficult to maintain the specified linear dimensions, etc. д.

Fire and electrical safety. Absolutely all electric devices, motors, starters and other special armature must be mounted in strict accordance with PUE requirements. One should know that dry sawdust is not only very flammable, but at a certain concentration in the air it forms an explosive mixture. By the way, burning sawdust is difficult to extinguish, it floats on the water and continues to burn.

Do not make the simplest machine at the expense of safety devices, strictly follow the recommendations of the designers. Decide what you need, a woodworking machine or fresh problems?

Material

You can make a circular table with your own hands from different materials. The most common are considered:

Each individual option has its own advantages. Laminated chipboard, plywood and fiberboard are easy and simple to work with. In addition, these lumber is characterized by an affordable cost. But products made of wood have higher strength and technical characteristics.

Attention: before proceeding to the assembly of the product, all its wooden elements are treated with antiseptic compositions.

Drawing and dimensions

Before you start working, it is recommended to make a drawing of the product. On it indicate all the dimensions, materials of manufacture and other important information. You can make a quality drawing of any furniture item with the help of special computer programs.

Making a drawing of the table, be sure to consider the size of the circular saw. Each brand of tool will have a certain size.

If you like to leave materials on the table during the working process, then the dimensions of the table top should be at least 120 by 120 cm.

Process of assembling a table for circular saw

First adjust the base to the optimum size. Wooden table top is treated and left to soak for 24 hours with an antiseptic compound. The metal base is sanded along the edges, so that there are no jagged edges.

Wood preservative is a modern construction material that protects wood of all species in structures.

Electric saw

The process of assembling a table for an electric saw:

  • First prepare the planks, which are trimmed using a planer. Of these, a strong frame is assembled. On each side of the base, holes with a diameter of 5 mm must be drilled.
  • Holes of the same diameter are also made in the tiers.
  • On a tabletop we install the legs and tsargahs. To fix it in place, clamps are recommended. They will help to fix the legs while the glue dries. They are additionally fixed with metal corners, tighten with self-tapping screws.
  • Fasten the saw with M4 bolts. The process is performed from the back side.
  • To make a parallel stop, two strips of plywood are sawn off. Their width should be the same as the table top width. The average size. 10 cm. All corners must be rounded and ground.

Important! When installing the electric saw, the start button must be secured.

For this purpose, a wire is suitable, which is put through the hole in the handle and twisted in the right position.

Hand saw

The hand saw requires a 20 mm plywood sheet. The worktop is made according to the chosen size. The marking is made with a pencil, sawing is carried out with an electric jigsaw. Finally, the edge must be milled. Be sure to sand the workpiece with sandpaper.

Care must be taken about its stability. Do not allow any loosening, otherwise it will affect the safety.

  • The header is turned over, on the underside a marking is made for the hand saw. It is necessary to put the saw without the disk to the base, make a marking of the dimensions of the sole.
  • Use a hand router to make an indentation of 10 mm.
  • Then the saw is tried on, the markings are corrected.
  • On the underside make a marking, which is intended for the ribs. For them prepare the blanks from a board of size 50×100 mm. The optimal position is up to 10 cm from the edge of the table.
  • Longitudinal ribs are sawn, fastened to the table top with joinery glue. Clamps should be used for fixing. Apply a similar principle to fasten the side stiffeners of the bars.
  • After the glue dries, holes are drilled in the stiffeners, and they are tightened with self-tapping screws.
  • For the table legs, 50×100 mm planks are used. The average optimum height is up to 110 cm. The legs are mounted on the outside of the stiffeners with strong bolts. To improve stability, you can use bars ties in the size of 50×50 mm.

Handmade circular saw is set into the prepared groove on the bottom side, the sole is fixed by bolts. A toothed disc is inserted in the slot. Following the technology and following all the steps, you can make a homemade table with minimal effort for your height.

Regularly check the position of the table and its strength. The structure must be stable, without loosening.

A few words about electronics

Circular saw. electric special equipment, working from 220 V power supply. If the user has sufficient knowledge and skill in electronics, he is able to bypass the keys to start and stop the saw, and then move them to a convenient location (usually the outer side of the 1 stiffener).

If the model seems difficult, you need to tighten the trigger with a wire, and turn on the special equipment with a power cord. However, this method is bad in that it excludes the rapid shutdown of the device in the event of an emergency situation.

Safety requirements

Self-made table under the saw. not such a difficult task as it may seem. If there is good material at hand, its characteristics are chosen correctly, and the power of the device ranges from 500 to 1000 watts, the above instructions will be the basis of work.

Do not lose sight of the fact that at any stage of the manufacture of the table should monitor the accuracy of their own operations. Otherwise, if there are dimensional deviations or deformation of the legs when the ribs are braced, it will be very difficult to resume stability. Nevertheless, making a table for a circular saw with your own hands is an absolutely real task for a few hours.

Making the table cover

The procedure for making this element of the construction involves the following operations:

The works begin with marking and cutting out plywood blanks, the dimensions of which must correspond to the dimensions of the prepared iron sheet.

After the workpiece has been properly sized, the surface of the workpiece is carefully grinded with emery cloth.

Then the points of fixation of the actuator are marked on the bottom surface of plywood sheet, at the same time marking the slit for the cutting disk.

To do this you must first try on the place of installation of the circular saw sole of the circular saw used. In this case it is most convenient to simply remove the disk from it and determine the exact location of the fitting points.

Before it is installed on the place of fastening, additional checking of correctness of marking of cutout for cutting disk is made.

The marking of the table cover is made directly on the base of the circular saw

In the final stage, the working surface is closed with a steel sheet with two guides, which is then fixed with conventional self-tapping screws.

Subsequently, special markings can be made along the corner rails, making the wood material easier to handle.

Additional information: In addition to plywood, plexiglass or fiberglass can also be used for the cutting table surface.

Work stages

The circular saw is a rather dangerous tool. The saw table should be positioned so that the saw blade is exactly centered, without an offset center of gravity. According to the made diagrams on the board is made the marking with a pencil, and then the base is sawed out with a jigsaw. After that, the resulting tabletop must be thoroughly sanded to make it smooth.

After the work is done the table top is turned over and a marking is made on the inside for the circular saw blade recess. Using a router they make hollows. The saw is installed in a homemade table, carefully fastened and checked for strength.

When making a table for a circular saw with your own hands, do not forget about the ribs. They greatly strengthen the structure, especially in conjunction with self-tapping screws.

The legs for the manual circular saw are attached last. Dimensions, as well as height, depend on the master, the main thing is to secure them with screws and self-tapping screws. They should be placed slightly sporadically, and the strength should be checked with the same stiffeners.

How to Fasten a Hand Circular Saw to the Table

How to make your own circular table with your own hands according to the drawings

Manual circular saw. is a powerful tool with high performance. One of the main advantages of circular maneuverability becomes a drawback when you need to see large volumes of wood. To simplify the process, you can easily assemble a circular saw table.

Table mounted device

The design of the table for the manual circular saw is so simple that most craftsmen make it without any preliminary drawings and diagrams. This is a strong workbench, consisting of wood and plywood. The most reliable table bases are made of metal. They are the heaviest and require skill as a welder. Therefore, most often the supports are made of waste lumber. A circular saw is attached under the tabletop, the disk protrudes through it through a specially made slot. The wood moves on the table top and is sawn with a rotating disc. For convenience and accuracy of work, the table is equipped with additional devices: an angular and longitudinal stop.

The work surface “eats up” part of the work surface of the disk, the depth of cut will be reduced by the thickness of the table top. Therefore, it is advisable to choose a round one with a maximum disc diameter, and the top of the table is thin but rigid.

If you haven’t bought a saw yet, choose models with high power (1200W or more). They will cope with cutting large amounts of wood. Holes will be drilled in the sole for mounting: the cast base may crack. Therefore, it is advisable to choose a tool with a stamped sole.

Choice of materials

To make a good position for a manual circular saw, remember carpentry skills, enough patience and a small amount of materials:

  • Laminated Plywood 15. 20 mm;
  • 50 x 50 beams;
  • board;
  • switch;
  • external rosette;
  • A piece of electrical cable;
  • PVA glue;
  • varnish on the wood (if the plywood is not laminated);
  • self-tapping screws.

The size of the tabletop will depend on the workshop area. However, on a table that is too small, it will be inconvenient to see the long segments. If the piece is fully stacked. The cut is made more smoothly and accurately. The height of the legs is chosen according to the height of the craftsman.

For a small workshop it is convenient to use a table design with approximate dimensions of 50 x 50 x 25 cm.

The manufacturing process of the table

  • From a sheet of laminated plywood we cut the table top of the required size. The marking is applied to the bottom plane using a metal ruler and pencil. We cut the plywood with an electric jigsaw, milling the edges if necessary. If the plywood is not laminated, we clean the table surface with sandpaper.
  • We turn and from the bottom make a mark to secure the hand circular. To do this, remove the disk from the tool and place its sole in the desired location. We make marks on the table top and on the sole for the fixture and the groove for the saw blade. Drill holes for screws. They will be twisted at the top, across the top of the table and at the bottom to hold the nuts. So on the side working surfaceThe countersinks of the holes and bolt caps are ground so that they do not protrude.
  • If you plan to cut the material at different angles, the slot under the saw blade is designed as an inverted trapezoid. A normal groove is made for smooth sawing. Before you cut the slot and holes for the fasteners, attach the saw, adjust the marks and then cut.
  • Pencil. placement of the ribs. They are made of board and set at the bottom 8-9 cm from the edge of the tabletop. We attach the legs of the table to the ribs. The ribs are fixed with screws at intervals of 15-25 cm, additionally glued with PVA. Screws, screwed from the top, through the table top, heads fully recessed. Ribs are fastened together with long self-tapping screws.
  • The legs of the table are made of bar or board, they will be 100 to 113 cm long. Greater stability will be provided by the legs slightly diverging from the bottom. They are fastened on large bolts, twisted on the outside, fastened on the inside with nuts. The bar ties will further strengthen the frame.
  • To adjust the height of the table, nuts are attached from below, into which M14 bolts are screwed.
  • Now you can lock the saw at the bottom by passing the blade into the prepared slot.
  • We attach the electrical connector to the inside of the table, let the wire run from it, and install the switch in a convenient location (on the outside of the stiffener). The power from the socket will come from the commutator. From it we extend the wire to the nearest power supply in the workshop. Using a coupler, we lock the ON-OFF button on the body of the circular saw in the recessed position.

Million Dollar Table for Manual Circular Saw

I present my work for the judgment of the esteemed audience. table

For a manual circular saw. Happy to listen.

Let’s begin to make auxiliary stops. For the longitudinal stop you will need an aluminum tube square 0 and two screws with lug nuts.

  • Cut a piece of pipe to the length of the countertop, cut holes for the screws at a distance of 3 cm from the edge.
  • From pieces of plywood we cut two clamps. The design is ready.
  • For sawing across the table we make a sledge out of plywood. They are aligned with the edges of the table, pressed down and moved along the jagged circle. At the place of the passage of the circle in the sled we cut a groove. Small parts can be stacked directly in the sled and sawed.

The dust is removed from under the table, but most of the dust in this case is dispersed from above, so it is not bad to supplement the device with an upper dust separator.

Working over the circular saw is very dangerous, so care must be taken to protect your fingers. From a piece of board or furniture board, cut a pusher.

Additions to the construction

This construction can be supplemented with a cleaving knife, which will be removed. It is put on the blade guard, which cuts off the flow of shavings flying directly into the carpenter.

Safety requirements

One of the most common causes of injury when using a circular saw is that the workplace is cluttered

In addition, it is important to monitor the stability, strength of absolutely all components of the system, and in case of imbalance. to use measures to eliminate difficulties. Before hooking up the saw, make sure that it is well secured. If necessary, retighten self-tapping screws/bolts. It is strictly forbidden to hold the material close to the place of sawing! There is a danger of knots and shavings bouncing back into the eyes or onto exposed parts of the body

It is imperative to wear sleeves and goggles before work.

Making a table for the saw itself is not as easy a task as it may seem. If you have a good material at hand, its characteristics are correct and the power of the appliance ranges from 500 to 1000 watts, the above instructions will be the basis of the work.

It should not be overlooked that at any stage of the production of the table should control the accuracy of its own operations. Otherwise, if there are dimensional deviations or deformation of the legs during rib bracing, it will be very difficult to resume stability. Nevertheless, the production of a table for a circular saw with your own hands is an absolutely real task for a few hours.

Circular saw design, circular saw machine from the circular saw Baikal

The usual table, which can be purchased in conjunction with the circular saw plate, is made in most cases of stainless iron. Skilled craftsmen use simple steel, and the supporting structure is welded from metal angles. The disk, which cuts the wood, is mounted in the inner part of the table, on a shaft with bearings, and the supply of mechanical power is made by means of belt transmission. In the slab there is a cut for the disk, which is surrounded on all sides by wooden formwork, and from the inside of the table is adjusted with screws. The gap between the table and the cutting disc, should be a few millimeters, otherwise sawdust in the work will be clogged in the gap, and lead to malfunction of the machine. The clearance is adjusted depending on the discs used.Everyone tries to perform drawings of a circular table with their own hands to make a versatile and good table for woodworking, but the lack of knowledge can play a bad joke.

Calculation of parameters

To avoid costs and inconsistencies, strictly follow the basic parameters of the stated materials, and you will make a quality carpenter’s table with your own hands. When we assemble a table for manual circular saw with our own hands, it is necessary to take into account the power of electric motors, which will be used. If you assemble a table for a hand router with your own hands also need to take into account the performance of the motor.

For a deeper understanding of the design and scheme of the product, watch the story about the carpentry table with his hands video posted on the site. Given that the table will be universal, it is necessary to make the construction as stable and strong as possible. Craftsmen make drawings of the milling table with their own hands, but if the design will be welded by another person, it is necessary to explain in detail, so that eventually all the elements are in the right places. It is possible not to separately make a milling table for a hand router with their own hands, as most masters, having made a universal table, work on it and hand tools. It is very convenient, as there is enough space for work, everything is at hand and productivity increases.

Calculation of power

To make a good table for a circular saw with your own hands, you need to make a correct calculation of power, at the ratio of the power of the electric motor and the intended work. That is, for a comfortable sawing of different types of wood, it is enough to put an electric motor 1000-1200 W. Experts do not advise the use of more powerful motors, as this is a great risk. If you need significant power and productivity of the installation, you should make the design of the table more thorough and perfect. With the proper approach, many craftsmen create a table for a hand router with their own hands, much better and more productive than models from branded manufacturers.

For a more accurate understanding, view the plot, how to make a milling table with their own hands video is in the public domain for viewing. Industrial machines, as mentioned above, are made entirely of metal, and the lower part, supplemented with a concrete slab, for greater reliability of the unit attachment. Table for the circular saw with their own hands, craftsmen make entirely of metal or in a duet with wooden elements.

It is important to consider the factor if more units will be integrated on the woodworking table, and the more powerful the rated capacity required, the stronger and more massive it is necessary to make a joinery table with their own hands.

A small table for manual woodworking machines

To make a small woodworking unit, you don’t have to use metal. It will be enough of these materials:. textolite board plywood fins with a diameter of 20 or 50 mm plexiglass.

Many people make drawings of the sawing table with their own hands, or do without them at all, but as practice shows, it is better to use pre-prepared schemes, because it simplifies and facilitates the manufacturing process. For greater convenience and possibilities for processing workpieces, carpenters make a turntable for a milling machine with their own hands, which makes the work much more convenient, enjoyable, and wooden products are of higher quality and perfection. Thus, craftsmen or adventurers, make a table for a saw with their own hands.

Many people wonder how to make a milling table? First, the material of manufacture depends on the size and power of the device used on it. From this we can understand that if the machine is large, then you need metal, and if it is manual, then plastic and wooden elements. Thus, the saw table with their own hands can be made in the conditions of a garage or private workshop. Woodworking, a very sensitive and responsible process, so it is very relevant to make a table for a manual circular saw with their own hands. It is very advantageous to make the tool yourself, because the finished product is much more expensive than the materials for manufacturing. Qualitatively made table for a manual circular saw with their own hands, you can use when working with other portable woodworking tools. To the craft of a carpenter brought not only pleasure, but also convenience, you can make a table for a planer with your own hands. Such a table can be made absolutely of wood, the main thing is to calculate the parameters.

Sometimes it is necessary to make a separate table for the electric circular saw with your own hands, which does not give the master any trouble, because the basis of construction and materials used are the same as for the hand circular saw table. When woodworking tools have nowhere to store, this is a signal that you need to make a table for tools with your own hands. Here, there are no barriers to creativity for every craftsman, as they make them metal, plastic, wood, with the use of various s and shelves. The tool table is a basic element for maintaining order and cleanliness in the workshop.

Watch the video circular table with your own hands, which provides all the details about the manufacturing process.

Manual with a risshina

Deep and “long” sawing for the home craftsman is not often necessary, and the manual circular saw and in itself a useful thing. Besides, a manual circular saw with a guide rail can cut wood both crosswise and lengthwise, and at any angle. And a cutting length of up to 1.5-2 meters is quite enough for almost all finishing work and creative work.

There are enough laths for manual circular saws on sale and they cost cheap, but there is no universal one. The principle of the company band saw is illustrated in fig.The saw’s base plate (shoe) is made with a longitudinal groove, and the guide bar is stamped with the corresponding groove and the guide bar is stamped with the corresponding groove. the comb (shown by an arrow in Fig.).

Use of handheld circular saw with guide rail

It is convenient in work: it is necessary only to press the tool from above, and it will not go sideways and sideways. And in the course of competition is also handy: make your saws so that they do not sit on the guides of “partners”.

inconvenient for craftsmen. you can’t find a cheaper guide rail. And a circular saw with a guide groove costs disproportionately expensive compared to the same one but with a smooth shoe. Amateurs do on the contrary: a guide bar with a groove from laminated plywood, and to the shoe they secure a pair of bosses (pos. 2b in the big fig. in the beginning). But for this, first of all, you need a wood milling table, which you have to make (not easy) or buy (expensive). Secondly, the already small depth of cut is reduced by 16-20 mm. Thirdly, if the tool is still under warranty, drilling holes in the shoe burns out the warranty. Fourthly, if the saw is for rent, nothing can be reworked in it.

There is another way, but the tool will need to work in 3 planes: hold down, from the side and from rotation. The plywood base of the guide can then be thinner, 6-8 mm. The actual guide rail will be a flat rail (or a piece of steel angle, etc) fixed to it.п.), see. trace. fig.:

How to make a guide for a manual circular saw

“Adjustment” of the device is reduced to the fact that the circular saw simply cuts off the excess from the base. It is fastened to the board / sheet of material with clamps. When working on the workbench, spacers slightly thicker than the material are put under the base; the depth of cut corresponds to. is reduced.

Table for manual circular saw

There are many designs of homemade sawing tables for manual circular saws, but most of them are the fruit of creative search and/or self-expression. However, quite workable. However, the best options for those who have not to make and show, but to work on it, can be seen clearly enough.

This is a tilting saw table for handheld circular saw (left in fig.). Tabletop. 12 mm laminated plywood; 400 mm high sideboard. furniture grade laminated chipboard 16-24 mm. It is not desirable to make the crossbars from boards, because you will not get the desired rigidity of the table. Tabletop overhangs. 30-60 mm.

Construction of sawing table for handheld circular saw

The construction of the table top of the circular table is shown on the right in pic. Slots for saw blade exit (one slot is possible) are cut in width of 6-10 mm. No particular precision is required, t.к. stop (see pic). below) is set for sawing along the saw blade. Tabletop dimensions can be changed arbitrarily (up to approx. 900×1200 mm of 16 mm plywood). Locking in operating position (assembly C in Fig.). M8 screws with wing nuts. The rotation knot (pos. B). a piece of pipe (can be plastic). Its attachment to the table top. can be done with countersunk screws through the through holes.

Instead of hinges. L-shaped pieces of rod D8; a small backlash in the tube does not affect the quality of sawing. Each “hinge” is additionally bent in a vertical plane at an angle of 30-45 degrees. On the long “G” sticks are threaded, and they are fixed in the cylinder with pairs of nuts with split washers. It is better to mark the fixing holes in the cylinder by inserting the “hinges” into the tube and laying the table top on the base.

Making a solid slide stop for the workpiece, as in pos. 3b in the big fig. at the start, not necessarily. its (stop) is better made from a piece of steel angle of 40×40, cutting the vertical flange as shown here in Fig. (back view).

Construction of sliding stop made of angle steel for handmade circular saw table

Fasten such a stop to the tabletop with screw clamps, and to align its parallelism to the saw blade in any case is necessary; this is done with a locksmith’s square with millimeter divisions.

Tool attachment

The fixing of the hand-held circular saw in the saw table in the clamps

simple, table, circular, hands

Circular saw is fastened to the bottom of the table with the disc upwards. If the tool is not under warranty and the loss of cutting depth is insignificant, 4 holes D8 are drilled in the saw shoe and the saw is secured by countersunk head screws. It is advisable to put 1-2 mm of rubber between the shoe and the table top (e.g.: rubber between 1 mm and 3 mm thick)., from the autocam), the quality of the cut will improve noticeably due to the damping of vibrations of the tool. If the loss of depth of cut needs to be minimized, a cutout is made in the table top for the tool shoe, the saw is fixed to a steel sheet 3-6 mm thick and it is placed in a rectangular well on the front (working) surface of the table top (see the safety rules). fig. on the left). But the hole will have to choose a hand router on wood, chisel exactly flush will not work.

If the tool is a warranty or rental tool, loss of cutting depth is unavoidable, since.к. You can’t make a hole in the saw shoe. For such a case, there is a known option for securing the saw in clamps (see. trail. Figure.). For regular work in big volumes it is not suitable, but it can be done quickly and it will be possible to saw evenly for a day or two.
