A deteriorated washing machine should not be thrown away immediately. Especially if there are sufficiently developed skills for working with hand tools, and there is a habit of messing around in the workshop. Various homemade products from the engine from the washing machine can be extremely useful in the household.
What are the engines
The class and age of the machine determines which engine is in the hands. If we are talking about the old, Soviet. it will be asynchronous device open type, quite reliable. - Weld an adapter from several pipes of different diameters. On one side, the grinding wheel is expected to fit, and on the other, the inner diameter of the tube must match the shaft dimension. This part of the adapter is heated, stuffed onto the shaft, after cooling, the parts are very tightly and reliably connected.
It is worth noting that a chuck for a drill is the most attractive option, unless you want to make a sharpener with a stone. It is easy to place almost any tool in it: a drill, a mill, a grinding round head, a nozzle with a wire brush for peeling paint, and a felt block. Grain crusher
Equipment of such a plan can significantly save on the production of feed for livestock. If a sufficiently powerful engine is available, then a completely sensible grain crusher can be built, which is in no way inferior in return to industrial options. Motors on large washing machines of an average budget or premium level have similar characteristics.

- We install the gearbox so that the pulley and motor are on the same level. Otherwise, the unit will very quickly fail due to severe overloads.
- An old centrifuge of a washing machine can act as a container. We mount the shaft in the tank and symmetrically fix the curved blades on it, which will interfere with the solution.
- Putting the Start and Shutdown buttons together with the rest of the wiring.
- We put the belts on the pulleys and, if necessary, tighten them.
