Toro reveals new battery-powered walking greens mower
Greensmaster e1026 features 26-inch mowing width and reduced noise levels.
Toro has revealed the new Greensmaster e1026 walk greens mower, an electric version of the Greensmaster 1026. The new model will add another electric product option to the growing portfolio of battery-powered equipment in the Toro lineup.
The e1026 will join the existing Toro Greensmaster e1021, and eFlex 1021 models. At a mowing width of 26 inches, it offers greater productivity while providing a more pleasant operator experience void of any engine exhaust emissions and significantly reduced noise levels. The benefits extend beyond the operator, to golfers, bystanders, resort guests and nearby homeowners.

The new design of the Toro walk greens mower family synchronizes the operator and the machine to eliminate operator error and negative influence on the turf. All models in the line have innovative operator controls, complete with a telescoping loop handle. Individual operators can adjust the handle in seconds to their unique size and preferences, which increases comfort and reduces fatigue.

DETACHABLE CUTTING UNIT WITH EDGESERIES REEL

Honda GX120 ENGINE
The shaft may be the engine of a golf club, but the engine of a mower is … well, an engine. This one isn’t a Jaguar XK straight six, but with 3.5 HP at 3,600 RPM it’s plenty peppy for cutting and accessorizing — and as reliable as a Honda.
The back roller is a large drum that serves as the machine’s traction drive, propelling it off the trailer to its on-course destination, where it then defines the mowing speed.
RUBBER MOUNTED TELESCOPING HANDLE
Cutting-edge clubs are all about custom-fitting, and so are cutting-edge cutters. Whether the operator is a tubby 5-foot-4 or a sticklike 6-foot-4, the adjustable, five-position telescoping handle can get the operator into perfect mowing posture. This prevents any irregularities in the height of cut—likewise, the rubber mounts on the handle, which provide forward and back, keeping hand movement from influencing the traction unit and cutting height.
Merging ease of use with functionality, the DFB is a BFD. Unlike fixed-speed mowers, the machine can be slowed to a comfortable speed in a turn as the next cutting pass is lined up, thanks to the bail’s ability to engage and disengage both the reel and the traction. Mow your lawn properly.
Often, people take shortcuts when it comes to mowing their lawn.
Maybe you cut it shorter than you should to buy a few extra days time before you have to cut it again. But when the grass blades are too short, they can’t catch enough sun to stay green, and you can find yourself with more weeds.
Maybe you follow the same mowing pattern every time, which prevents the grass from growing straight up. Or maybe you don’t bother sharpening your mower blades, which can cause jagged edges in your grass and can let disease creep in.
