CheckMate for Exmark Commercial 30

Big League Lawns© manufactures striping rollers that connect to the full line of Exmark Zero Turn mowers. As the operator mows the turf, the CheckMate striping roller gently folds the grass in the direction of cut. The resulting patterns are created by sunlight reflecting from the grass. Grass that is bent away from you reflects light which appears much lighter in color. Grass that is bent towards you appears a much deeper green due to shadows being cast under the bent tips of grass. When mowed and rolled in opposing directions, vibrant patterns are created, rivaling major league ballparks throughout America.

Exmark Commercial 30, New and Improved

The Exmark Commercial 30 X-Series looks like a new and improved version of the original Commercial 30 mower released back in 2013. So, where are the improvements?

Starting with the engine itself, Exmark has upgraded the engine to a Kohler Command Pro CV200. This has an increased displacement that gives it 30% more torque than its closest competitor. This engine also includes cast iron cylinder liners, dual splash and pressurized lubrication, and Quad-Clean air filtration for better protection against dust and other contaminants. Cast aluminum oil and filter bases and a steel blower housing enhance the mower’s durability. Kohler includes a 3-year commercial warranty on the engine as well.

But, the heavy-duty wet clutch transmission also comes upgraded on the new Exmark Commercial 30 mower. With increased wheel torque comes more power to drive up and across hills. It has a positive drive design that couples both of the drive wheels, increasing the traction. This mower has a variable ground speed up to 3.8 mph, It also includes a self-tensioning belt drive to minimize maintenance. A parking brake keeps everything secure.

Cutting Performance

The Exmark Commercial 30 X-Series mower comes with a 4.6″ deep, 30″ cutting deck that still remains maneuverable, thanks to its compact design. A 3-in-1 design offers you the ability to quickly and toollessly transition between mulching, bagging, and side-discharge options.

It also features a timed two-blade cutting system. A simple timing belt system maintains the blade positions and isolates the engine from shock load. Each blade driver has a shear pin that provides additional impact protection; rather than damaging the mower itself, impacts will cause the shear pin to snap instead, at which point, they can be easily replaced. The heavy-duty spindle assemblies feature robust ball bearings, forged spindles, and die-cast housings for better durability and less maintenance.

Exmark also offers a mulch kit for the Commercial 30 X-Series, which optimizes performance for those trying conditions, such as wet grass.

What Does Exmark Have to Say?

“With 40-percent more cut area per pass than the industry-standard 21-inch walk-behind mower, our Commercial 30 quickly found favor with landscape contractors looking to get jobs done faster without sacrificing cut quality. The new Commercial 30 X-Series takes that proven formula to the next level with Kohler’s premier single-cylinder commercial engine – the Command Pro CV200, along with a powerful transmission, for increased performance and durability.”

Exmark introduces Commercial 30 X-Series walk-behind mower

Exmark introduced its new Commercial 30 X-Series model. With a new, more powerful engine and transmission, the Commercial 30 X-Series is a more productive option, ideal for smaller properties, the company said.

According to Exmark Product Manager, Lenny Mangnall, the Commercial 30 X-Series is an evolution of the company’s original Commercial 30 model, introduced in 2013.

“With 40 percent more cut area per pass than the industry-standard 21-inch walk-behind mower, our Commercial 30 quickly found favor with landscape contractors looking to get jobs done faster without sacrificing cut quality,” Mangnall said. “The new Commercial 30 X-Series takes that proven formula to the next level with Kohler’s premier single-cylinder commercial engine — the Command Pro CV200 — along with a powerful transmission, for increased performance and durability.”

Exmark upgraded the transmission on the Commercial 30 X-Series to make the most of the Kohler engine’s additional power. It delivers increased wheel torque to power up hills, with easier tracking on side hills. The positive drive design couples both drive wheels for maximum traction in all conditions, with infinitely variable ground speed up to 3.8 mph. The heavy-duty wet clutch transmission and self-tensioning belt drive are designed for minimum maintenance and maximum reliability in the most demanding commercial applications. The Commercial 30 X-Series also includes a parking brake.

The 4.6-inch deep, 30-inch wide cutting deck delivers Exmark’s signature cut quality, with a compact design to enhance maneuverability. The 3-in-1 design offers the ability to quickly change from side discharge, to bagging or mulching, without tools, and the compact deck enhances maneuverability in tight spaces.

The efficiency of the timed, two-blade cutting system reduces power requirements. The simple timing belt system maintains blade position and isolates the engine from shock load. A shear pin on each blade driver provides additional impact protection, with simple replacement in the event of an impact. Exmark’s heavy-duty spindle assemblies feature robust ball bearings, forged spindles and die-cast housings for maximum durability with minimal maintenance.

Exmark offers a high-performance mulch kit for the Commercial 30 X-Series, which optimizes mulching performance in tough conditions such as wet, heavy grass. The kit can also function as a fill-reduction kit when operating with a bagger, which increases productivity by reducing the need to stop and empty the bag.

Don’t let its size fool you. Our Commercial 30 mower is deceptively light and easy to maneuver. In fact, this 30-inch self-propelled mower feels and handles much like its Commercial 21 counterparts, incorporating a single-speed transmission and our patented front-height adjusters. The major difference: its 30-inch cut delivers up to a 40% increase in cutting efficiency compared to a standard 21-inch mower—without wearing out the machine or its operator. Self-propelled rear wheel gear drive provides variable speed so operators work comfortably at their personal pace. Variable speed also makes mowing uneven terrain easier than with standard push mowers.

FeaturesProductivity: Reduce mowing time, increase control and manage costs with a deceptively light walk-behind mower.Patented Front Height Adjustment: Innovative, simple and built to last, our patented front height adjustment eliminates the need for pivot-style adjusters.
