It happens that different GRINDING TAPES have different centering: in some it is more accurate, in others. with an error. By manually adjusting the TAPE. using the “lamb”. you have to adjust the position of the front roller. In the process of working with different TAPES, regular adjustment will still be necessary, which takes time and effort (HAMMER LSM800, BORT BBS800, STERN 75X457).
AUTOMATIC setup is easier. One of the rollers has the shape of a barrel (in most LSHMs both are cylindrical), therefore contact with the GRINDING TAPE is incomplete. Therefore, when grinding, even an unbalanced TAPE will not slip to the side.
FRONT ROLLER OF SMALL DIAMETER.
This type of LSM is not common (BLACK & DECKER KA88, BLACK & DECKER XTA80EK). When working close to the wall (grinding the floors), the problem of the “dead zone” arises. an area of the surface inaccessible to the BAND GRINDER from the front edge of the sole to the obstacle itself. It is possible to grind across, but still it is necessary to conduct the LSM along the fibers in order to avoid the appearance of scratches and scoring. An LSHM with a small front roller will cope with the problem. the working surface is increased, and the “dead zones” in the majority are millimeters and are often equal to the radius of the roller.
LIMITATION OF DEPTH OF GRINDING.

Some models of BAND GRINDERS are equipped with DUST BAGS WITH ADAPTERS FOR VACUUM CLEANERS (DWT BS650, INTERSKOL LSHM800, SKIL 7650AD). But often they do not fit the hose of a home vacuum cleaner.
