Be careful
This mower is great for the homeowner that owns less than 3/4 acre. If you live where your ground is pretty flat and you can cut your lawn in less than 45 minutes then this is the perfect mower for you. Otherwise if you have some steep grades, takes over 45 minutes to cut, or don’t want to do a lot of upkeep to your mower after the warranty runs out then steer clear. I have owned 2 of them over the last 12 years and they wont hold up to much more than what I described. Deck is weak “they sell reinforcement plates”, google RZT deck spindle and most likely the first thing that pops up are the kits with 3 spindles, 3 blades, and the belt. “think they know there is a problem”? These mowers were only designed to mow no more than 45 minutes at a time. Otherwise the hydrogears will constantly overheat resulting in a hydrogear failure. A new hydrogear runs about 650 per side. ” I have replaced one already and less than 2 years later the other side won”t pull. Doesn”t take long before the clutch starts slipping leaving a mess to recut. The hydrogears do not have a reservoir or a filter system other than a mesh screen and only use motor oil in them instead of real hydraulic fluid.

Synchro-Steer technology isn’t new. Cub Cadet developed it back in 2009. It replaces traditional lap bars with a familiar steering wheel and a dual foot pedal control scheme. Where it really shines is when mowing wet grass or on inclines. Where a traditional lap bar system relies on the rear wheels for steering (the front wheels are just 360-degree spinning casters), Synchro-Steer works differently. It steers using the front wheels and uses them to determine the speed of each of the rear wheels.

Cub Cadet Ultima ZTXS Zero Turn Mowers
The Cub Cadet Ultima ZTXS includes commercial-grade features. It steps up several of the features, including the steering column, engine, frame (1×3 in. tubular steel) deck (10 gauge), speed, seat quality, fuel capacity, wheels, and more. The ZTXS also extends the warranty to 4 years and 800 hours (including commercial use).
Cub Cadet plans to offer the Ultima ZTXS Series mowers in ZTX4 and ZTX5 trim levels with the latter carrying (among other things) a better seat and larger rear tires.

The Ryobi 48V zero-turn electric mower was one of my alternative picks on the list of best electric mowers, and after doing more research, I can say that it is the best electric zero-turn on the market. The integrated 48V battery can be charged via a regular wall outlet, which means you won’t have to worry about keeping special chargers and cables on hand to top up your mower when not in use. It also makes the Ryobi 48V easier to integrate into your garage or workshop if you don’t have any other Ryobi tools or equipment that could share a battery with the mower. The battery gives you enough power on a full charge to mow up to 3.5 acres, which is great news for anyone with a larger yard.
It features a 54-inch cutting deck with 3 sets of blades for a more even cut on each pass, and the deck can be set to 12 different heights for the perfect mow all season long. A control panel lets you monitor battery levels, turn on the LED headlights, mow in reverse, and even charge your phone with the built-in USB port.
Since the Ryobi 48V zero-turn mower doesn’t have a gas engine, that means that you’ll save both time and money by not having to do any oil changes, spark plug cleanings, or fuel treatments at the start and end of every season. And no gas engine means no exhaust emissions, making this a more environmentally friendly option for lawn care.
