How to Clean a Chainsaw Oil Filter

Chainsaw malfunctions and repairs

A chainsaw is not such a complicated device. However, if a malfunction is detected, it is necessary to have at least basic knowledge in order to find and eliminate the defect that has arisen. Let’s look at the main malfunctions of chainsaws, find out what they are connected with, and also analyze the main steps to fix breakdowns.

The most important thing, before proceeding with the repair, is the correct determination of the malfunction. And there can be several reasons for the inoperability of each element. Therefore, before you start disassembling the chainsaw, you need to try to determine what the denial of work is associated with.

As a rule, a failure in the operation of chainsaws is caused by a malfunction of the engine or the occurrence of breakdowns in its other nodes.

Engine failures include:

  • ignition failure;
  • malfunctions in the fuel supply system;
  • malfunction of the piston or cylinder.

In other nodes, most often malfunctions arise due to failures of the brake mechanism, lubrication system, the operation of the clutch, tire, etc.

Let’s look at both groups of faults, so that you can determine the cause of the breakdown on your own, if necessary, without contacting a repair shop.

Engine malfunctions

The following defects are most often observed in engine operation:

  • the engine will not start at all;
  • Starts up, but immediately stalls;
  • does not develop the required power;
  • unstable.

To find the cause of the problem, you need to analyze the possible causes in order by elimination. Let’s go through this chain so that you know how to find a defect in a chainsaw if it occurs.

Chainsaw ignition system malfunctions

Malfunctions in the ignition system most often cause a failure of the gas tool engine. Therefore, you should start troubleshooting with it. Inspect the candle. To do this, carefully remove the high-voltage wire from the head, and then unscrew the candle from the socket using a special key. If the candle is wet, there is an excess of fuel. Most often, the supply of excess fuel is associated with improper carburetor adjustment or problems with the ignition system. The candle should be thoroughly wiped with a dry paper towel and dried. You also need to drain the cylinder, close the fuel supply and start the starter several times to remove excess fuel mixture. After these steps, you need to install the spark plug in place, open the fuel supply and try again.

If there is a lot of black soot on the candle, this usually indicates a malfunction in the fuel supply. a violation of the gasoline / oil ratio, poor-quality oil or the need to adjust the carburetor.

In this case, the candle must be cleaned with a needle or a sharp awl from accumulated carbon, clean the electrodes with a skin-null until the metal shine appears and screw back into place. In this case, you need to pay attention to the tightness of the gasket of the candle.

If the chainsaw still does not start, you need to check for a spark in the spark plug. With the cap of the high-voltage wire on, lean the candle skirt against the cylinder and pull the starter, as shown in the photo below:

How to Clean a Chainsaw Oil Filter

If a blue spark jumps from a distance of 2-3 mm, then everything is in order. If the spark appears only at a distance of 0.5. 1 mm, most likely a malfunction of the ignition system has occurred. If there is no spark, check the high-voltage cable with a probe. Perhaps a wire break occurred in it. If all the steps taken did not succeed, try changing the spark plug to a known working one and trying to start the chainsaw again. Also, the absence of a spark may be due to a violation of the gap between the ignition module and the flywheel magnetic circuit. The clearance should be 0.2 mm. The required clearance can be set using the 0.2 mm gasket, which is placed between the flywheel and the ignition module. A video of the chainsaw ignition device and its malfunction is shown below (click the triangle to play):

Malfunction of the fuel supply system in the chainsaw

If everything is in order with the ignition system, then go ahead and check the fuel supply system of the chainsaw.

The failure of the fuel supply system, as a rule, is associated with one of the following reasons:

  • fuel filter contamination;
  • a hole in the tank cap clogged;
  • insufficient amount of incoming fuel mixture.

We disconnect the fuel hose from the carburetor and see if fuel flows out of it or not. If fuel flows in a free stream, then everything is in order. the cover and filter are working properly. If the fuel mixture does not flow at all or flows very weakly, then clean the opening of the cap (breather) with a needle. We remove the fuel filter through the filler hole, hook (you can bend from the wire), together with the suction hose. First you need to empty the fuel tank. We disconnect and clean the filter or replace it with a new one. It is recommended to renew the fuel filter every 3 months. As for the insufficient amount of the fuel mixture coming from the carburetor into the cylinder, here the reason may lie in the violation of the ratio of fuel and air mixed in the carburetor. The main reasons: clogging of the air filter, clogging of the channels of the carburetor or mesh filter. Of course, when repairing chainsaws, it is necessary to clean the air filter, as it gets dirty quite quickly. This reduces the amount of air entering the carburetor. The fuel mixture at the outlet in this case is overly enriched.

The dirty filter must be removed very carefully so that the accumulated dirt does not fall off and does not fall into the carburetor. The filter must be cleaned or rinsed in water with detergent. Then we dry and set back.

Carburetor malfunction

If all the actions described above did not lead to success, the cause of the chainsaw’s inoperability is probably the carburetor’s malfunction, in which case it will be checked and adjusted. However, if you do not have experience in carrying out such work, then you should find through friends or by the announcement of a specialist who knows how to do this. Otherwise, you risk being left without a saw. A carburetor is a device consisting of many parts of a very small size, which, if mismanaged, can simply fall out and get lost. A video on how to repair a carburetor of a Stihl MS 250 chainsaw is presented below (to play, click the triangle):

Chainsaw silencer malfunction

It often happens that during continuous operation, the walls of the exhaust pipe become covered with soot, which prevents the free exit of exhaust gases. In this case, remove the muffler (if possible) and rinse it with detergents, then dry thoroughly with a hairdryer. ATTENTION! Nagar contains carcinogens. During dry cleaning, it can get into the lungs, which is a threat to your health. The cause of soot, as a rule, is the wrong ratio of gasoline-oil or the use of low-quality and incompatible oils.

Carefully read the chainsaw instruction manual to prevent this from happening again.

Malfunctions in the cylinder-piston group

Deterioration of the cylinder and piston, the appearance of scratches and scoring on their surface, wear of the piston rings or crankshaft bearings. all these are very serious damages. As a result, they lead to a drop in pressure in the cylinder. In this case, it will be very difficult to start the engine. Without disassembling, check the status of the CPG as follows. Remove the silencer and look at the window that opens. Part of the surface of the cylinder will be visible. To obtain information about the state of the CPG, the compression in the engine is measured using a compressor that must be installed in the spark plug hole. Turning the crankshaft (you can starter), measure the readings of the device. The readings of the compressor should not be lower than 8-9 kgf / sq.cm (or 0.8-0.9 MPa).

If there is no compressor, you can evaluate the presence of compression by eye, simply by plugging the hole in the socket of the candle with your finger and pulling the starter, as shown in the photo below:

If there is compression, you will feel your finger suck inward.

Low compression may be due to coked piston rings or wear.

Chain lubrication system malfunctions

Each instruction manual indicates the need to monitor the condition of the chain lubrication system. Typically, system malfunctions occur due to clogging of the channels through which the lubricant is supplied. If there is slight oil leakage, operation can continue. But if the oil leakage is large enough, then you need to check the tightness of the tubing to the pump fittings. You can eliminate the leak using sealant or replacing the tubes. You should also pay attention to the condition of the oil pump. In the presence of cracks in its case replacement is necessary. An oil pump repair video is shown below:

Circuit brake malfunction

If the chain brake does not work, the cause may be contamination of the brake band with grease or sawdust with wood resin or underwing space.

You can fix the problem by cleaning the dirt and replacing the brake band. As you can see, the cause of violations in the operation of the chainsaw can be a variety of reasons. When working, try to follow the recommendations given in the operating instructions, as well as periodically perform routine maintenance to maintain the chainsaw in good condition. DIY chainsaw repair. analysis of breakdowns and methods for their elimination

It would seem, why a chainsaw to a summer resident, who is engaged in the cultivation of vegetables and fruits, or to the owner of a country house, which has a small garden and several flower beds? The question disappears when there is a desire to build a bathhouse, to renew a greenhouse, to tumble down an old business or just to make a bench for rest. Unfortunately, any mechanism periodically needs to be prevented and parts replaced, and for this you need to understand the device’s structure well, besides, repairing a chainsaw with your own hands will save time and money.

Structural components of chainsaws

All chainsaws are similar in structure, regardless of whether they are European-made (ECHO, Stihl, Husqvarna) or domestic (Cedar, Ural). The main elements are located inside the case. a fuel tank and an engine, and outside the starter, handle, saw part (tire) with a chain. A sharp jerk of the cable starts the engine, and that. the saw blade.

To get started, we suggest you familiarize yourself with the video clips that show how the chainsaw is arranged and how it works:

From time to time, malfunctions occur in the saw, which requires disassembly. What can happen with such a simple mechanism as a chainsaw? At least the following:

  • Ceases to start;
  • Starts up, but soon stops;
  • It ceases to function in the cut;
  • Loses its power;

Most of the problems are associated with interruptions in the engine (fuel supply system, exhaust system, ignition, cylinder-piston part), or with malfunctions of other systems and components (clutch, chain brake, tire, lubrication system). Consider the most common breakdowns and methods for eliminating them.

A working chainsaw starts up with one jerk and does not fail to cut

Ignition System Check

The first thing to do when a chainsaw breaks down is to inspect the spark plug by disconnecting the wire and carefully twisting it with a special key.

Components of the chainsaw ignition system: 1. flywheel with magnets, 2. ignition module, 3. spark plug, 4. high voltage wire

Unscrew the spark plug to check its condition.

Her appearance says a lot:

  • Dry. Most likely, the fuel mixture does not get into the cylinder. It’s not about the ignition system, so the candle is twisted back.
  • Heavily splattered with fuel. The reason for the excess fuel mixture lies either in violation of the start rules, or in the incorrect carburetor adjustment. The candle is carefully wiped, the fuel supply is shut off and the starter is turned on. to remove excess fuel and ventilate the combustion chamber. Then the candle is put in place and the mechanism is started again.
  • It was covered with black soot. This may indicate the use of low-quality oil, an incorrectly adjusted carburetor or an incorrectly calculated ratio of gasoline to oil. The candle should be washed, cleaned of carbon deposits with a sharp object (with an awl or a needle), wipe the electrodes with a skin and put in place.

When checking the candle, you need to pay attention to the gap between the electrodes: from 0.5 to 0.65 mm is considered normal. Damaged or worn gaskets must be replaced.

A large amount of black soot on the spark plug indicates engine malfunctions

For complete certainty, the presence of a spark should also be checked. To do this, put the ignition cable on the spark plug, connect the spark plug nut and cylinder with pliers, start the starter and watch for the appearance of a spark. If it is absent. the candle needs to be replaced. If the new candle also does not give out sparks. the problem is in the high-voltage wire or in the failure to connect to the candle.

Fuel system repair

Fuel may not enter the cylinder for the following reasons:

  • Fuel filter contamination. Remove the fuel hose and check for fuel leaks. If the jet is weak, you may need to clean the filter. It is taken out through the filler hole of the fuel tank and cleaned, in case of severe contamination it is replaced with a new one. As a preventive measure, it is recommended to replace the fuel filter every three months.
  • Clogged breather (holes in the fuel tank cap). Also check by disconnecting the hose, in case of blockage, clean with a needle.
  • Lack or insufficient amount of fuel. There may be several reasons for the malfunction. The first reason is clogged air filter. The air ceases to flow into the carburetor in the right amount, in this regard, due to too rich fuel mixture, the engine is disrupted. The contaminated filter is carefully removed, cleaned and washed in water, then dried and replaced.

Another reason is the incorrect carb adjustment. Adjustment is made by three screws.

Timely replacement of the fuel filter ensures full fuel supply

The fuel hose and choke drive must fit snugly against the fittings.

The throttle control lever cable must be in place

During operation, you must use the instructions, otherwise you can only make it worse.

And the last reason is a violation of the integrity of the membrane or clogging of the carburetor channels.

All parts must be clean, dry and intact.

Dismantling and cleaning the silencer

If the engine works fine at low revs and starts to stall at high revs, the cause may be covered in a silencer spark arrestor clogged with combustion products.

  • remove the muffler;
  • disassemble (there are non-separable models);
  • clean off deposits using detergents;
  • blow dry;
  • set in place.

Dry cleaning is unacceptable, as there are carcinogens in the tan, inhalation of which is hazardous to health. After removing the muffler, the outlet is closed with a clean rag.

Chainsaw malfunctions indicate possible muffler clogging

To prevent clogging of the muffler, it is necessary to monitor the composition of the fuel mixture. The amount of oil must not exceed the norms recommended by the manufacturer. Poor oil quality also negatively affects engine performance.

Assessment of the condition of the cylinder-piston group

Often the engine does not start or does not work at full strength due to the low pressure in the cylinder. It can be caused by wear of the piston or cylinder, dropping of the piston rings, wear of the bearings. Partially consider the state of the cylinder-piston group (CPG) is possible by removing the muffler and looking into the opening.

A compressometer placed in the candle hole will help to measure the compression in the engine. according to the results of the measurement, you can also talk about the state of the CPG. Accurate data is obtained only after the complete disassembly of the mechanism. If the piston has chips or scratches, it must be replaced. The piston ring must be clean, without carbon deposits, and be exactly in place.

Wear on the piston and crank mechanism is a serious problem.

According to the results of measuring compression, you can judge the condition of the parts of the CPG

Repair chain lubrication system

Let’s consider three main faults:

  • Oil leakage. Check whether the pipes are tightly connected to the pump fittings and if there are any cracks on them. Problem tubes are sealed or replaced.
  • Inadequate oil intake. Most likely, the lubrication channels are clogged.
  • Cracks in the oil pump housing. Part replacement required.

Here’s how to diagnose a lubrication system:

Chain brake adjustment

The chain brake often does not work due to clogged grease or sawdust brake tape and the space under the cover. All parts should be cleaned of blockages. Perhaps the tape has simply worn out, then it needs to be replaced.

The chain brake is restored by mechanical cleaning.

Some parts of the chainsaw wear out faster than others. These include the drive sprocket, tire, chain, anti-vibration elements. For quick replacement, it is best to always have spare parts at hand. Do not neglect the sharpening of the chain.

Chainsaw repair: how to identify and troubleshoot a chainsaw on your own

Today, almost every villager or summer resident has chainsaws. They are in high demand because they are easy enough to work with. Even in the event of a breakdown, the saw can be repaired with its own hands, although this can take a lot of time. On the farm, consumers use household or semi-professional (farm) saws that are designed for a small front of work.

Chainsaw Design

Basically, all chainsaws are equipped with a two-stroke carburetor engine with one cylinder and air cooling. Stability of work directly depends on the carburetor preparing the fuel-air mixture. The air entering the engine should not contain dust and other impurities clogging it, otherwise the piston group will wear out quickly enough.

To avoid this, the air filter in the chainsaw should be cleaned regularly. So that it is less likely to clog, it has a mechanism for preliminary air purification.

The engine is started by a starter (a cable wound around a pulley with a handle). Modern, even low-power saws are equipped with mechanisms that facilitate starting. These include:

  • primer. a pump that reduces the number of empty revolutions, pre-pumping fuel;
  • the spring starter, which allows you to slowly pull the cable, the engine does not scroll, but only a special spring is cocked, at some point it overpowers the compression and sharply scrolls the knee shaft;
  • the decompression valve connects the cylinder to the atmosphere, while reducing the pressure in it, which allows you to start the engine without much effort, the valve closes after starting under exhaust gas pressure.

During operation, the chainsaw can vibrate strongly, so it is equipped with an anti-vibration damping system. The saw handles are connected to the engine by means of a damper (rubber gasket or steel spring).

The sawing part of the chain consists of a cutting chain located at the edges of the tire, sprocket and sprocket.

Chainsaw Troubleshooting

Unfortunately, chainsaws, as well as other units, can fail. Although a little imagining how the saw works, you can fix most of the malfunctions with your own hands. The complexity of the repair is not so much in the work itself, but in the correct determination of the cause of the breakdown.

For example, if the saw does not start, there may be several reasons for this, so do not immediately take to dismantling it. First, analyze the causes of failure that are divided into 2 groups:

  1. Malfunctions of engine components, ignition systems, fuel supply or exhaust. This also includes malfunctions of the cylinder. the piston group.
  2. Malfunctions in the lubrication system assembly, chain brake, clutch or in the tire, as well as a number of other malfunctions.

Engine malfunction indicators

The malfunction of the engine can be judged by the following problems:

  • it is impossible to start the engine;
  • the engine starts, but then immediately stalls;
  • the engine is unstable;
  • at idle, it works in normal mode, and under load it loses power or stalls.

All these malfunctions can indicate malfunctions in the ignition system.

Ignition System Check

Checking the system should begin with an inspection of the spark plug. Dry, it says that the fuel mixture did not get into the cylinder and therefore ignition has nothing to do with it. If the spark plug is too filled with fuel mixture, then the saw was started incorrectly or the carburetor was incorrectly adjusted.

The candle is thoroughly wiped, then the fuel supply is shut off, the remaining fuel is removed, the chamber is ventilated and the starter is started. Then they put the candle in place and restart the engine. Black soot indicates that you used low-quality oil, or the percentage of oil and gasoline in the fuel mixture is violated. This can be caused by an incorrectly adjusted carburetor. The candle should be washed and cleaned off with a sharp awl or needle, clean the electrodes with a fine sandpaper and screw the candle into place.

When checking a candle, pay attention to the gap between its electrodes. Operating limits are 0.5. 0.65 mm. If the gasket is worn or damaged in the spark plug, this can also cause problems with starting the engine. You should check the candle and the presence of sparks. To do this, an ignition cable is brought to it, then clamped with pliers with insulated handles, a candle is threaded or screwed onto the cylinder. Pulling the starter cable, they check if there is a spark. If it is not, then the candle is simply replaced. If the spark does not give a new candle, then the problem is in the high-voltage wire.

Fuel system troubleshooting

Fuel cannot get into the cylinder for several reasons:

  1. The fuel filter is dirty. To fix the problem, remove the fuel hose and see how the fuel will flow. If the trickle is weak, clean the fuel filter. Having taken it out through the fuel filling hole, the filter is cleaned, and if it is very dirty, it is replaced with a new one.
  2. Clogged breather. a small hole in the tank cap. Remove the hose and clean the blockage with a needle.
  3. Fuel is exhausted or not enough. The reason is a clogged air filter. The air does not enter the carburetor in the right amount, it turns out too rich fuel mixture, which disrupts the normal operation of the engine. The filter must be carefully removed, washed, dried and put in place.
  4. Incorrectly adjusted carburetor. Since it is one of the main components of the engine, it is better to entrust the carburetor adjustment to a specialist. Self-tuning can permanently disable the engine.

Chainsaw silencer. disassembly and cleaning

When the engine idles normally, and dies when the load increases, the muffler is probably the cause. The spark arrester is clogged by the combustion products of the fuel and interferes with the normal exhaust. In this case, the muffler must be removed and cleaned of carbon deposits with detergents, and then thoroughly dried. While the muffler is removed, the hole in the engine must be plugged with a clean rag. Excessive oil in the fuel mixture, poor quality, or inappropriate oil for two-stroke engines may cause muffler clogging.

Check the performance of the cylinder. piston group

Sometimes the engine does not work at full power or does not start at all due to insufficient pressure in the cylinder. The reason for this may be wear on the cylinder, crankshaft bearings or dropping of the piston rings due to wear on the piston. Visually check the state of the CPG when removing the muffler by looking into the hole. Although the review will be quite limited, you can get some idea of the state of the cylinder. the piston system.

To more accurately establish the state of the CPG, it is necessary to install a compressor in the spark plug hole, crank the crankshaft manually or with an electric drill. The pressure of the saw should be in the range of 8−9 atmospheres. At lower pressures, engine power decreases.

You can get a complete picture of a cylinder cylinder malfunction if you completely disassemble the engine by disconnecting the crankcase from the cylinder and inspecting the piston. If there are chips or deep scratches on it, the piston should be replaced. If the surface of the cylinder is worked out, it is possible to squander it.

The reason for the decreased compression may be the wear of the piston ring. In working condition, the ring is not covered with soot; in the piston groove it is freely and tightly pressed inside the cylinder.

Diagnosis and repair of the chain lubrication system

The cause of incorrect operation of the chainsaw may be a malfunction in the chain lubrication system:

  • oil is leaking, we check the tightness of the connection between the pump nozzle and the tube and the presence of cracks on them; if a crack is detected, the tube is replaced or sealed;
  • insufficient amount of oil comes in, the channels supplying the lubricant may be clogged, which happens quite often, they should be cleaned well;
  • in case of cracks in the oil pump housing, it should be replaced.

Circuit brake malfunction

Another cause of failure of the saw may be a malfunction in the brake circuit. The reason may be a clogged space under the cover or wear on the brake band. In the first case, the clogs should be cleaned, in the second. replace the tape.

Chainsaw parts during operation receive a different degree of wear. In order for it to always be in working condition, it is necessary to replace parts in time that wear out faster. a drive sprocket, a tire, a chain, parts of an anti-vibration unit and a number of others. Keep an eye on your tool while conducting preventive maintenance, and it will always be in working condition.

Proper operation of the chainsaw!

In our article, we will talk about what a person should know when using a chainsaw. In addition, we will explain why he should know this.

A chainsaw is a dangerous tool, you need to use it very carefully. Before the first start, carefully read the operating instructions.

Chainsaw Cleaning

It is necessary to clean the saw every time after working under the cover of the sprocket from sawdust with oil, and also to wipe the inner surface of the cover. Otherwise, the sawdust may be compressed and it will be difficult to tear them off.

Replacing chains, sprockets and tires

For uniform wear on the sprocket and tire chains, we recommend having two chains in stock. With proper handling, the sprocket is designed to operate with two chains, after which it is necessary to replace the sprocket and both chains.

Why is this needed?

During operation, the chain forms a development on the leading sprocket, due to which the step on the sprocket increases, and therefore the chain is gradually extended to the step of the existing one on the sprocket. If you put a completely new chain on an old sprocket, the chain stretches in a jump, which may even cause it to break.

A simple rule: 4 = 2 = 1. on average, there are two sprockets and four chains per bus.

Proper chain tension

You must in no case allow chain slack. To check if you have pulled the chain, jerk it with your gloved hand or napkin. With proper tension, the chain will move with little effort.

If during operation you notice that the chain is slack (in case of heating), stop the chainsaw and tighten the chain. After work, be sure to loosen the tension! The chain will begin to cool and pull on the tire, if it is too stretched, it may break.

Proper handling of the saw bar

For uniform tire wear, it is necessary to turn it over, as well as change chains (provided that there are 2 chains!).

After work, it is necessary to clean the tire:

  • Groove cleaning
  • Cleaning the oil holes
  • The upper edges of the tire from burrs with a file.

Air filter

The air filter must not be washed in gasoline or acetone, as this may lead to its integrity. The filter must be cleaned if power loss is noticeable during saw operation. If damage appears on it, it should be replaced. Therefore, it makes sense to purchase an additional air filter in reserve when buying a chainsaw.

Saw lubrication

It is best to use the original oil for your chainsaw. It is designed specifically for use with tools of its own brand and will not cause any damage to internal components. Using it is absolutely safe.

The oil tank should not be completely emptied, as this can adversely affect the tire and chain.

Fuel

We draw your attention to the fact that gasoline or already mixed fuel should not be stored in inappropriate plastic containers! Fuel can be stored in special fuel cans (for example, husqvarna has special cans: Green gasoline canister, 6 liters, Gasoline canister, orange, Combined canister). Gasoline is an aggressive environment, and if the plastic of which the container is made is not intended for its storage, then gasoline begins to corrode it. The smallest particles of dissolved plastic are passed through the fuel filter and enter the carburetor, clogging the nozzles. A carburetor that is clogged with plastic cannot be repaired.

The diluted fuel mixture can be stored for no more than a month (the instructions for your saw indicate 3 months, but this corresponds to the European quality of gasoline). As practice shows, 1 month is the optimal storage period for domestic gasoline in the absence of direct sunlight on the fuel tank and temperature difference.

Before storing the chainsaw for a long time, the fuel must be drained and the tool idled to burn off the remaining fuel in the tank.

Why should this be done?

During storage, gasoline evaporates from the carburetor, and oil remains in it. The membrane, which in the carburetor is responsible for pumping fuel, sticks, which makes the saw difficult to start.

How to start a saw?

How to sharpen a saw chain?

In the event that you are going to sharpen the chain indoors, then clamp the tire in a vice (it will not damage the tire). If you do not have a vice, you can get a clamp.

If the number of links on the chain is not divisible by 4, then it is better to start sharpening the chain with two links in a row, otherwise you will have to count the sharpened teeth).

Choose a tooth that is bent away from you. The holder must be installed at right angles to the tire. 30 ° risk must be parallel to the tire. Make two or three movements away from yourself with a file. In this way, grind through one cutting tooth, then turn the saw over and sharpen the second part. For uniform wear of the file, do not forget to rotate it periodically and clean it of chips. The chain pitch and diameter of a suitable file are indicated on the holder. Do not forget to make sure that the notch of the file does not run into the mounts, otherwise it will simply grind them.

Do not let the saw run at part speed or idle! Do not work on half-gas or gas!

The fact is that when working at partial speeds or at idle, the fuel mixture is not completely consumed, coke is formed on the rings, piston, exhaust window. When there is a lot of coke on the exhaust, its piece breaks off and falls into the piston group.

  • Do not use plastic containers to store fuel!
  • Do not leave the machine idling!
  • Work only at full speed!
