How to convert single axle tractor to gas

Instruction: How to convert a gasoline generator to a gas generator?

You will need a special reducer for successful installation. The UGC (Universal Gas Kit for Generator), and follow the instructions.

Step

Remove air cleaner cover Unscrew the four mounting bolts (arrows) After removing the filter element, unscrew the two nuts fixing the body (arrows) and remove its base
Step

Remove the carburettor by first disconnecting the fuel supply hose and control rods After removing the original carburetor, you can install the gas kit in place of the original carburetor Install the gas kit in the guide studs
Step

Be sure to install gaskets on both sides of the carburetor to seal the connection and prevent air leaks during operation Make connection of gas hose to carburetor
Step

Place the base of the air cleaner body in its original place and secure it with the mounting nuts Install the fixing platform of the filter element and secure it with bolts After completing the installation don’t forget to install the crankcase ventilation socket in the air filter housing

In order for the device to work correctly you may need to make some initial adjustments to the settings of the gas supply to the carburetor. Below we indicate the sequence of their execution.

The initial setup before starting the generator involves adjusting the amount of gas supplied. To do this, fully tighten the adjusting screw on the UGC shown in the figure, thereby reducing the flow capacity of the line to a minimum. After this action unscrew the same adjusting screw one full turn from the original closed position.

Connect the gas supply line to the inlet port on the bottom of the gas reducer. Securely fasten with a clamp. Check the gas line connection for leakage. Open the valve on the gas cylinder. Press once for 2-3 seconds on the center valve of the gas reducer housing to fill the gas reducer internals.

Start the alternator using the recoil starter or the electric starter (depending on the configuration of the alternator). After the alternator has started, immediately move the throttle control lever to the far right “open” position

With the alternator engine running and without electrical load make final adjustment of the gas supply to the carburetor. To do this, screw in or unscrew the adjusting screw on the blade gradually and repeatedly: Depending on the initial operation of the motor, the adjustment can be as follows. on engines with larger volume and decrease. on engines with a smaller displacement. Perform adjustment of the engine rpm until the maximum steady rpm is reached.

After the alternator engine has been idle for 5 to 10 minutes, connect a load of at least 70% of the alternator rated electrical output. If after activating the consumers the engine will run unsteady or with a significant drop in rpm, it is necessary to increase the engine rpm by turning clockwise the control lever screw for dosing the amount of fuel-air mixture. If the above phenomena do not occur.this adjustment is not necessary.

Disconnect consumers from the generator

Close the gas supply by means of the valve on the gas cylinder.

After stopping the engine of the generator turn off the ignition.

To perform the work you may need tools.

To convert a gasoline engine block to gas, proceed as follows

Dismantle the gearbox and remove the spring. First remove the seal, then the cover. Before doing so, unscrew the screws.

Gas must be fed into the air filter. To do this, a hole is drilled in the filter, a crimp sleeve is inserted and a copper tube is connected. The hose is attached to two short pieces of pipe up to 5 cm long. The coupling halves are screwed in place and pressed against the filter wall. Inside the filter, the end of the copper tube is on the other side of the intake manifold. From the outside, attach the hose to the other end of the tube and clamp it on top. Install the cover, but first install the filter element.

Route the hose from the air filter to the top of the steering column. Cut the fine gas filter This is to prevent dirt from getting from the cylinder into the engine. Install the filter housing and fasten it to the steering column.

Lift the hose from the fine filter and run it to the steering wheel. Then mount the gas ball valve to the hose and fasten it to the steering wheel.

Connect the hose from the valve to the reducer on the gas bottle. This cylinder is attached to the steering tube. Cut the plate out of steel and fasten it with clamps. This cylinder provides the location of the valve at the transition from the steering tube to the steering wheel.

Now the main thing: To start the cultivator, you need to switch it to the neutral position. Then the cylinder valve is opened completely and the ball valve is opened for a few seconds. After closing the valve, start the engine with the starter. There should be enough gas in the air filter for a short period of engine operation.

Electric Tractor Conversion. De-ICE-ing, Part 1

If you convert your tractor with a gasoline engine to gas, you can still convert back to gasoline. In the fall and winter, it makes sense to warm up with gasoline first and then with gas. Of course, no one disputes the fact that it is more convenient to buy the original cultivator with hybrid power. But the price of these power units is high.

The transition from gasoline to gas does not affect the technical performance of the tiller. Power and efficiency are as advertised.

Since gasoline are rising all the time, switching to gas is a sensible, pragmatic decision. With a universal gas module, the transition to gas is even easier. No special skills required. All you need to do is read the wiring diagrams and remember the danger of gas explosion.

As you can see from the picture, the actions for switching from gas to gasoline will not require certain skills and knowledge. A huge plus of choosing the gas module is that during its installation you can protect yourself and others. Also, the manufacturers have provided a step by step guide, which describes all the steps in detail and painted to the smallest detail.

Be careful not to get caught in a fake! You can distinguish by external signs. You can see the picture below. This applies to agricultural and garden equipment such as: single axle tractor, motor pump, power tiller, cultivator.

Materials:

The first thing to do is to disassemble the propane reducer and remove the spring from it. To do this, the seal is broken off, the screws are unscrewed, and the cover is removed. The spring underneath is taken out and the cover is put back on.

Gas must be supplied to the air filter housing of your power tiller. To do this, a hole is drilled into the side of it and a crimp sleeve is inserted to connect the copper tubes. Clamp short pieces of pre-formed copper pipe 3-4 cm long on both sides of the socket. The socket halves are clamped on the filter wall when screwed in. If it is too thin, a washer can be put under the cover to keep the socket firmly seated and free from slackening. The copper tube inside the filter must end opposite the inlet manifold. A hose is fitted to the second tube from the outside and clamped at the top. After that, a filter element is inserted into the filter and the filter cover is put on.

Route the hose from the air filter on the MotoBlock to the beginning of the steering column. It is cut into a fine gas filter to prevent dirt from the cylinder in the engine. The filter is fixed on the steering column.

From the fine filter, the hose rises higher to the steering wheel. The gas ball valve is cut in it, preferably with a lever to facilitate the adjustment of propane supply. The tap is attached to the handlebar closer to the right hand.

The hose from the cock goes to the reducer mounted on the balloon. The air reservoir itself is fixed on the steering column. A platform is cut out of steel sheet and clamped to the column with a strong clamp. The balloon is positioned so that its valve is in the area of transition of steering column to steering wheel.

In order to start the single axle tractor one should engage the neutral gear, open the valve on the cylinder fully and open the ball valve for a few seconds. After that the tap is closed and the engine is started with the starter. The gas accumulated in the air filter is enough to keep the engine running for several seconds. Immediately after starting, open the ball valve a few millimeters at a time until you know by the sound of the motor that it is getting enough fuel mixture. Going forward, when the engine is loaded, open the valve a bit more, because you can’t speed up with the gas pedal lever like you do with gasoline.

This modification allows you to start the engine on gasoline at any time. This is useful if you run out of gas. In winter you can start a cold single-axle tractor on gasoline, and after the engine warms up turn it off, turn off the tap on the fuel tank and work on gas.

Materials:

First of all you should disassemble the propane reducer and remove the spring from it. To do this, the seal is torn off, the screws are unscrewed, and the cover is removed. The spring underneath is taken out and the lid is put back on.

You must provide gas to the air filter housing of the power tiller. To do this, you drill a hole in the side and put a crimp sleeve to connect the copper pipes. Short pieces of flared copper pipes 3-4 cm long are clamped in the socket on both sides. The coupling halves clamp on the filter wall when tightening. If it is too thin, you may put a washer on it to make sure it sits firmly and does not wobble. Copper tube inside the filter must terminate opposite the inlet manifold. The second pipe is connected to the outside of the hose and the hose is clamped at the top with a clamp. After that a filter element is inserted into the filter and a cover is put on.

The hose from the motoblock air filter is routed to the beginning of the steering column. A fine gas filter is cut in it in order to prevent penetration of dirt from the tank into the engine. The filter is mounted on the steering column.

From the fine filter, the hose is routed up to the steering wheel. A gas ball valve is tapped into it, preferably with a lever to make it easier to adjust the propane supply. The tap is attached to the handlebar closer to your right hand.

The hose goes from the valve to pressure reducer mounted on the cylinder. The cylinder itself is fixed on the steering column. under it a platform is cut out of sheet steel, which is clamped to the column with a powerful clamp. The cylinder is positioned so that its valve is in the area of the steering column to the steering wheel.

In order to start the single axle tractor, one must shift into neutral, open the valve on the cylinder fully and open the ball valve for a few seconds. After that, the valve is closed and the engine is started with the starter. The gas accumulated in the air filter is enough to run the engine for a few seconds. Immediately after the start you need to open the ball valve a few millimeters until it becomes clear by the sound of the engine that it gets a sufficient amount of fuel mixture. Further on, when the power tiller is loaded, the valve is a bit more open, because you can’t gain speed with the gas lever as you do with gasoline.

This modification allows you to start the engine on gasoline at any time. It’s useful if you run out of gas. In winter you can start up a cold single-axle tractor using gasoline, and after the engine is warmed up turn it off, turn off the tap on the fuel tank and work on gas.

The new innovative gas module for power tiller. will solve the problem of saving money

The domestic producer has developed a hybrid gas module Gas Power, which can run both on gasoline, and on gas. Thereby simplifying the technical task of the landowner, which has to be done completely by himself, not having the right to commit even a small error. In order to perform the right rite of self-transfer of a power tiller to gas it is necessary to carefully and thoroughly study the structure of this agricultural machinery. With the help of the Gas Power gas module it is even possible to switch to natural gas (mains) and liquefied gas (propane-butane).

How to make a self-made all-terrain vehicle from a power tiller

Under all-terrain vehicle. a variety of means of transportation. These are tractors, snowmobiles, off-road vehicles, and tanks. Nowadays the majority of roads in the countryside are not paved with asphalt. That is why those who have faced such a problem are so strongly interested in a homemade all-terrain vehicle from a power tiller. Having a singleaxle tractor, you can independently make a wheeled cross-country vehicle, which would have a high cross-country ability, both on water obstacles, and on snow.

Assembling an all-terrain vehicle, the power unit of which will be a single-axle tractor. What is the basic idea: we remove the handlebars and wheels from the motorized tractor and put it in the frame, and the gimbal of the motorized tractor goes to the axles. One of the key requirements is not to allow a radical redesign of the Moto-Block. In other words, installed a single-axle tractor in the frame. you get a floating all-terrain vehicle. Removed parts from the frame and reassembled. bringing back the single-axle tractor. Here is the result of this idea.

The motoblock engine does not start well when hot

The question of why the motoblock engine stalls when heated is quite simple to solve. The whole essence of the problem lies in the overabundance of air supplied to the carburetor of the motoblock. Part of it mixes with a mixture of gasoline and motor oil, and the other part cools the carburetor. As a result, the temperature of the carburetor becomes much lower than that of the motor unit. Such a problem is observed only during the operation of a power tiller. When his engine is turned off, the carburetor, on the other hand, succumbs to heat from the red-hot walls of the engine.

During the heating of the carburetor of the motoblock, the residual fuel begins to actively evaporate, filling all the voids in the motoblock device, including the air filter and the intake manifold. This leads to the complete disappearance of fuel, due to which the single axle tractor does not start when the engine is hot.

To correct this problem, you need to act in a certain algorithm each time you start your power tiller “on hot”. Your main task is to get the mixture to come together so that the motor can start. This will require:

  • While starting a hot motor, squeeze the throttle trigger halfway;
  • Do not try to press the gas trigger time after time, otherwise you will only aggravate the situation, because while frequently pressing the gas trigger the fuel pump will supply new portions of fuel to the carburetor, which will lead to the flooding of the engine;
  • After several attempts to start the engine with the throttle trigger pressed halfway, the engine will start and then will need to be accelerated 2-3 times to continue operating.

Such a procedure will eliminate the increased load on the hot motor, so that the main parts and mechanisms of the motor block will not succumb to excessive wear.

All of the above methods will help to effectively cope with the typical breakdowns of the most well-known manufacturers of power tillers. They are successfully used by the owners of agricultural machinery brands Honda, Agro, Kaskad and Neva.

And during the “smoke break” we recommend you to try the tastiest buckwheat tea, which you can order in the online store NeBanan.
