How to Cut a Triangle on a Circular

How to Cut a Triangle on a Circular

Hello, dear readers and guests of the site "Notes of an electrician."

A few days ago, one of my readers turned to me with a request to connect a single-phase motor of the AIRE 80C2 series. In fact, this engine is not entirely single-phase. It will be more accurately and correctly attributed to two-phase from the category of asynchronous capacitor motors. Therefore, this article will focus on connecting just such engines.

So, we have an asynchronous capacitor single-phase AIRE 80C2 motor, which has the following technical data:

  • power 2,2 (kW)
  • rotation speed 3000 rpm
  • Efficiency 76%
  • cosφ = 0.9
  • operating mode S1
  • mains voltage 220 (V)
  • degree of protection IP54
  • capacitance of the working capacitor 50 (μF)
  • operating capacitor voltage 450 (V)

This engine is installed on a small-sized drilling rig and we need to connect it to the 220 (V) electric network.

Decryption of the engine of the AIRE 80C2 series:

In this article, I will not give the overall and installation dimensions of the AIRE 80C2 single-phase motor. They can be found in the passport for this engine. Let’s move on to connecting it better.

Connection of a capacitor single-phase motor

An asynchronous capacitor single-phase motor consists of two identical windings, which are shifted in space relative to each other by 90 electrical degrees:

Do you know how to distinguish a working winding from a starting one? If not, then click on the specified link.

The main (working) winding of such an engine is connected directly to a single-phase network. The auxiliary (starting) winding is connected to the same network, but only through a working capacitor.

At this stage, many electricians are confused and mistaken, because in an ordinary asynchronous single-phase motor, the auxiliary winding after starting must be disconnected. Here, the auxiliary winding is always energized, i.e. in work. This means that a single-phase capacitor motor has a rotating magnetomotive force (MDS) throughout the entire working process. That is why it is practically not inferior to three-phase in its characteristics. Nevertheless, he has disadvantages:

For our single-phase AIRE 80C2 motor, the capacitance of the working capacitor is already known (from the passport), and it is 50 (microfarads). In general, it is possible to independently calculate the capacity of the working capacitor, but this formula is quite complicated, so I will not give it to you.

If you do not know (or have forgotten) how to measure the capacitance, then I remind you that I already wrote an article on how to use a digital multimeter when measuring the capacitance of a capacitor. Read, everything is described in detail there.

If, according to the conditions for starting a single-phase motor, a higher torque is required, then in parallel with the working capacitor for the start-up time it is necessary to connect a starting capacitor, the capacitance of which is chosen experimentally to obtain the highest starting torque. From experience, I can say that the capacitance of the starting capacitor can be taken 2-3 times more than the working one.

Here is an example of connecting a single-phase heavy-start capacitor motor:

You can connect the starting capacitor using the button or use a more complex circuit, for example, on a time relay.

Forgot to say about the rotors.

Most often, the rotors of single-phase motors are squirrel-cage. In more detail about squirrel-cage rotors I spoke in an article about the construction of asynchronous motors.

Connection diagram for a single-phase motor (capacitor)

Well, we got to the wiring diagram of a capacitor motor. On the terminal block of such an engine there are 6 conclusions:

These pins are connected to the motor windings in the following order:

Here is the terminal block with the terminals of the AIRE 80C2 engine:

To connect the motor in the forward direction, you need to apply alternating voltage

220 (V) to terminals W2 and V1, and place jumpers, as shown in the picture below, i.e. between terminals U1-W2 and V1-U2.

To connect the motor in the opposite direction, you need to apply alternating voltage

220 (V) to the same terminals W2 and V1, and place the jumpers as shown in the picture below, i.e. between terminals U1-V1 and W2-U2.

I think everything is clear with this. We install jumpers for the desired rotation of the motor and connect the single-phase motor to the mains, as shown in the figures above.

But what to do when we need to remotely control the direction of rotation? And for this we need to assemble a reverse circuit for a single-phase motor. You will learn how to do this from my next article.

Thanks for the information, otherwise I thought that only amateurs connect 3-phase, using a capacitor, to a single-phase network.

Thanks, interesting article. Unfortunately, not all issues were highlighted for its practical use. Namely:
1. In what specific cases is it necessary to use a starting capacitor? Is it needed for a homemade woodworking machine?
2. What brand of starting capacitor is more preferable and its parameters? How to turn on the starting capacitor using a button, what kind of button is it, and does it connect with anything else?
3. How to connect a given motor (AIRE 80C2) directly to the network, in the sense of the need to use magnetic starters, buttons, switches, etc.? What brands of these devices do you recommend?
I have no doubt that the answers to these questions will be of interest to many of your readers.
Sincerely.

Vyacheslav, the answers to your questions are in the continuation of the article: reverse of a single-phase motor.

About the starting capacitor. It is selected with the same parameters as the working one, only the capacity is 2-3 times larger. This is written in the article. For switching, you can use the usual button (or button post) with n.o. contact. This part is shown in the diagram.

Honestly, I did not expect such a prompt response. Thanks.
Today I looked at your site in more detail. Informative. I will be a regular guest.
I read the article “Reverse single-phase motor”. Good article. Indeed, almost all issues have been resolved. Except one.
With the capacity and rated voltage of the starting capacitor. everything is clear. But with his type. no.
I understand that I am abusing your attention, but still. What type of capacitor can be used as a starting capacitor? Not purely theoretically, but from the category of inexpensive and affordable (available in retail).
If you answer, then please, so that an amateur like me can understand.
Sincerely.

As for my example, it’s working and this “battery” of capacitors has been working for me for about 3-4 years. I just recommend taking it all the same with a small margin of voltage. so to speak, advice.

Good afternoon, Dmitry!
The confusion that was previously observed in the head, thanks to your articles and answers to readers, is slowly but surely structured. Thank you very much!
I finally found your recommended capacitor. CBB-60 450-100, with a working capacitor installed on the engine, 450V, 40 MKF.
Last question.
If the button for turning on the starting capacitor is a separately located button, then you will have to start the engine with two hands. No other options? Or somehow you can adapt the main button post, such as PKE. The machine that I want to assemble is a woodworking, respectively. a reverse is not needed.

Vyacheslav, instead of the button for the starting capacitor, you can put separately, for example, a packet switch. It can be turned on in advance, but the main thing is not to forget to turn it off after a successful engine start. Also, as an option, I adapted a time relay with a setting of 3 seconds into the circuit, but this complicates the circuit, but it is convenient (one-handed start).

If the button post consists of 3 buttons, but you do not have a reverse, then the 3rd button can be used for the starting capacitor. Then your launch will be carried out with two hands, but in one place from one post.

I understand, I’ll put a 3-button post and I will press with one finger of one hand. Thanks!

Hello! Recently acquired the same engine. Everything suits him, except that at the time of launch he very much draws the network. When the normal voltage in the network is 220, this fact does not bother me much, but these 220 are extremely rare, most often the voltage is 180-190 and when starting the engine with such a voltage in the network, it knocks out traffic jams. Therefore, could you tell me if there are any devices in order to minimize inrush currents, or to install a voltage stabilizer, well, or other methods to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

Pavel, when starting any engine, an inrush current occurs, about 5-7 times more than the rated current, therefore it knocks out “plugs”. So that during the start-up the protection does not work (the plug is not knocked out), it must be calculated taking into account these same starting currents. Perhaps your rated current of traffic jams does not correspond to the motor power and its starting currents.

Hello! What kind of capacitor to choose if I have a 1.5 KW CAPACITOR MOTOR, 2820 rpm. I tried to connect 40 microfarads but the engine does not start.

Alexander, what type of engine do you have?

Thanks for the article, very little information of this kind.
And now the question: There are several motors (two-phase or single-phase).
There is no marking on the windings, but the windings are different in resistance. How to determine which one is working and which is the starting one? I believe that the working impedance should be more than the starting impedance?

The starting winding has always more resistance than the working winding.

Hello!
Do not refuse. If only 3 wires go to the bar, one of them connects directly to the network and, as I understand it, has a connection to the ends of both windings. And the remaining 2 wires are connected to the second wire of the supply network through a four-pin capacitor, through three contacts and, have a direct connection with the beginnings of two windings.
And, if I understand everything correctly, please tell me how to understand such a capacitor and is the connection diagram given in your article suitable for this case?
Thanks.

Dog, better send me a photo in the mail. I’ll see for myself.

Good day!
I would like to ask the following question:
My grandfather got the engine from a woodworking machine, dug it out of the ground (almost 10 years old) washed it, dried it. Checked on the case. the whole insulation. Half of the nameplate is missing on the engine, from a legible text only that it weighs 34 kg, 50 Hz, and something similar to power (only numbers) 2.8!
4 ends come out of the engine (2 section. 2.5 sq. Mm and 2. 1 sq. Mm)
Tell me, is it one starting winding, the other working (my guesses), and if so, then proceed according to the above connection diagram ??
Because when the engine found there was no condenser anywhere. and he worked at the dacha

Timur, you need to know exactly the type of engine, because some of them can work without a capacitor. Try to look at the tag, maybe there is still some data.

Unfortunately, nothing more. it was connected as follows:
Legend: Z1, Z2. ends are thick; U1, U2. thin ends
Z1 and U1 were closed and connected to phase
Z2. per phase
U2. to neutral
at the same time, starting without help is not possible, the consumption current is 10A, the engine immediately starts to warm up, clockwise rotation
That was when I found it.
I connected it through the UHF 50mF / 450 V
The rotation is counterclockwise, the current from the network is 1.5A, the current between the windings is 5A (measured on the capacitor), it does not heat up, it starts immediately.
It is embarrassing why such a low current, I tried to slow it down from the mains, the current increases (reached 4.5A at 1.5A at idle), between the windings it drops (about 4A at 5A at idle)
I can send a photo, maybe I’ve met one already.
py.sy: I didn’t go to electrical engineering at one time, now I’m trying to catch up

Timur, assemble the motor windings according to the schemes of this article. The assembled circuit was originally assembled incorrectly when you found it. How did you see the marking of the findings, are there really any tags on the findings?
Z1, Z2. starting (auxiliary) winding (has greater resistance)
U1, U2. working (main) winding (has less resistance).
Double-check the resistance with a multimeter.

Good day!
Tags have not been preserved, I’m conditional, I agree with your above example.
I collected everything in a box from a computer PSU: VA, 50mF / 450V Conder, cooler, transformer for cooler)
In short, I now have a woodworking machine))
The only thing! It is heavily driven, but it does not heat up in operation, maybe it can supplement the circuit with a starting capacitor ?? 150 mf 450V ??

Yes, Timur, if really the initial moment on the shaft is not high, then you can try. Unsubscribe after the experiment.

I have a centrifugal disconnector under the cylinder cover on the AIRE80C2 engine. From it, two wires go into the engine. Only four wires are brought out to the block. There are two capacitors in a plastic box on the engine. After repair, I got an engine where nothing on the block is connected. How to connect all this?

Michael, I did not see the AIRE80C2 engine with a centrifugal switch. Maybe you have a single-phase AOLB 22/4 motor, it just has a centrifugal switch.

The question is what is the yl90l-2 single-phase motor on it, 3 windings and 2 capacitors and a centrifugal switch, I need a switching circuit in advance I thank

Good day! I ran into such a problem. I had a 2 kW AIRE80S2U3 engine on a woodworking machine.
3000 rpm By his own stupidity, after 10 years of flawless operation, he burned. I gave it to rewind. Rewound. Connected. It starts and gains momentum for a long time and with difficulty.
I thought the capacitor was covered, replaced, the same song. Capacitor 45 uF, 450v. It is not possible to work, the loss of power is monstrous. I do not know what to do, to whom to present, to rewinders or maybe the reason is different. Help advice.

Igor, of course, is the reason for improper repair (rewinding). Perhaps the wrong wire section for the winding was chosen and the motor parameters changed. Before the repair, it was necessary to remove the resistance parameters from the whole winding, and after the repair, compare the readings.

Hello. There is a 750W single-phase motor with a start winding and a start button (you press hard on black. it starts up, release it. it works; turn on red yarn. it turns on) there are no capacitors. Starting from the home network, of course, draws a light bulb. but this is not fundamentally. everything works gut! The question is very urgent brother. I powered this engine from a 2.5 kW generator, so at the time of starting the gene it jumps bad. Then of course the gut works. Shtob do this so that the gene does not rape? Thanks in advance from Belarus.

Stepan! When starting, the electric motor consumes current 3-5 times more than during operation. You have no power reserve generator. That’s why he jumps.

That’s how America revealed me to Vova. I already know that. Tyb still told me 22 = 4.

Then start your engine with the help of the shutter: wound, pulled and immediately turned on the current. There are no miracles.

Hello, the article is wonderful, but in practice it’s an interesting situation. I bought a pump for the pond, MP-20000 power 320w with a capacity of 16,000 l / h worked well, with maximum efficiency, but it is not for nothing that they say do not interfere with the mechanism, I decided to change the wire to a longer one, after which the pump hardly spits water. He took it out of the water and noticed that it rotates to the left, although the rotation of the shell should be “right”. Dismantled, but stubbornly does not want to spin "to the right." Three wires come out of the windings: White (B), Black (H) and Red (K). The approximate resistance of the B-H windings is 300 Ohms, Ch-K is 700 Ohms, B-K is 1000 Ohms. A capacitor of 6 MF, H and K is connected to a white wire. 220 V. The capacitor is connected to B and K, with another connection, the motor buzzes and rotates (if untwisted) in any direction. When disassembling, the rotor (aluminum blank) was dropped, but not much and without visible damage. What could be the problem and how to make the motor rotate “correctly”. Thanks in advance.

Alexander, with an increase in the length of the supply cable, it was necessary to calculate the voltage drop across it. If the drop is large, then you need to increase the cross section of the veins. Are you sure that it should rotate exactly to the right, because before that it worked without complaints?

The voltage drop in the cable is about 10 volts, I think it is insignificant, moreover, when connecting a short cable, the situation does not change. Just some kind of mysticism.

Hello! I have an ADP-362: 110v motor. 19W, 1950rpm
Resistance of windings: V1V2-25om, G1G2-45om. Tell me please
1. What should be the capacity of the working capacitor?
2. What winding should it be included in?
3.How to connect the motor to a 220v network without using a transformer?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, please tell me how to make sure that you don’t pull the plug all the time? How to connect the start-stop button to a particular engine, or what kind of knife switch?

Hello. Tell me please, I have an engine with two capacitors and a thermal relay on the compressor. Periodically, the relay turns off the engine. What’s the matter?

Either you overload the engine, the thermal relay setpoint is not set correctly, or it is faulty.

And where can I see the reverse circuit without MP. The type is like in Tal (telphers). There is only a button: up and down, the input-output on the capacitor changes, otherwise I assembled, something pulls slightly upward. I collected it incorrectly.

Good afternoon, I have a motor from an old washing machine, it starts through a capacitor, its power is about 150-180vat, is it possible to somehow increase the power of this engine using a capacitor?

Using a capacitor does not increase engine power.

Hello. I bought a single-phase AIR2E motor c2 2.2kv 300 rev. With two capacitors. How do I connect it? As it is according to the scheme, or does the second capacitor need an additional button, which must be opened after start-up? I will be grateful for a useful answer.

Hello! I have a heating pump WILO PH-046E, it initially rotates clockwise, but I need it counterclockwise, you don’t have any terminals on it, or rather, there’s a small plastic for connecting the windings and the cable to the plug. 3 wires (blue, brown and black) go into the engine, two of them (blue and brown) are connected to wires from the network and the third to the conder. the other side of the conder is connected to the blue wire. The attempt to transfer the conder to another network pass did not work, the engine is buzzing and not spinning. What can be done? how can you change the rotation without disassembling the engine?

Igor, first of all, you need to check with the manufacturer. is it even possible to run it in the opposite direction, does it mean there are no contraindications in mechanics and cooling. If the answer is yes, then you can try to reverse.

Dear admin, I don’t need to clarify anything, even if it burns out, I don’t feel sorry for him, because this way it lies completely idle and will lie further if I do not reverse it. It is important for me how to do this reverse?

All clear. At the moment, your capacitor is connected to the black wire and blue. To change the direction of rotation of the motor, you need to connect the second output of the capacitor to the brown wire. If the engine does not start and starts to hum, then the rotor is mechanically locked, possibly an overrunning clutch (or something similar) is installed on it, which prevents it from rotating in the other direction.

Regarding my question, probably no one will answer me?

Roman, what is the capacitance of the capacitors?

One capacitor 50 microfarads, the second 400. Factory engine. The electric motor is the same as in this article. The only one is not 1, but 2 capacitors.

If the starting conditions are not severe, then connect only a working capacitor 50 (μF). If the start conditions require a higher torque, then connect additionally with the button for the start time the starting capacitor 400 (μF).

2 capacitors under the cover are connected. Does it mean that I need to disconnect them? If you leave it as it is and bring 220V to U1 and U2 according to the scheme specified in this article, there will be no harm? Or still put an extra button on the start?

Novel, the connection of the capacitors is factory or did someone independently connect them? If the factory, then try to turn on the engine with both capacitors.

The engine is factory. 2 capacitors were initially installed. I asked the seller, they don’t know how to connect. They refer to the work of an electrician. The label is on the air2e80s2 tag. I just wanted to play it safe, so I asked. We’ll try. Thank you for the consultation.

SW admin, to reverse the induction motor, it seems to me, it is necessary to swap the ends of the starting winding.

Good day, dear admin, could you tell me how to connect the centrifuge electric motor on the evgo ewp5020nz washing machine. There are 3 wires on the motor and on the capacitor 4. The motor rotates slowly, but if you load the centrifuge it generally buzzes and does not rotate. The engine the whole. maybe you have an electronic circuit of this washer, I’ve searched the entire Internet and found nothing. Thank you in advance.

Good afternoon! SW admin, I have a question of this order: On a circular saw was a 3-phase motor. connected in one phase. This engine. burned out, gave to rewind. The rewinders were separated with the leads of 4 wires (i.e. rewound by one phase?). Work engine. became the wrong one, quickly stops. Is it possible for this engine. connect working capacitors? By type of engine. power is about 3-4 kW.

Sergey, you better ask the wrappers. how they rewound you and how they did it. If you rewind a three-phase motor of a certain power, then you must rewind it to the same three-phase voltage and the same power. After rewinding, the motor is tested: the insulation resistance of the windings, the ohmic resistance in phases and the open circuit current are measured. The data obtained are compared with the data from the catalog of a similar engine and draw a conclusion.

Can you please tell me whether it is possible to use a single-phase inverter for a motor (AIRE 80C4)?
Just this phrase confused
They can be used for a long time with voltage deviations of 5% and frequency deviations of 2% and simultaneous deviations of voltage and frequency limited by zone “A” GOST 28173
and zone A sets the change in frequency and voltage not more than 5% of the nominal value.

Misha, for what purposes do you want to set the inverter? After all, it says that deviations of 5% in voltage and 2% in frequency are allowed for a long time. If you need to adjust the speed for a short time, then for this motor you can use a single-phase inverter.

new air80s2. The shaft heats up in operation without load. The case itself is cold. It is connected correctly. What’s the matter.

good time of day. I have a question. how to understand the type of connection. Direct. Smooth.

ALL a Happy New Year! There is an engine from the AD-180 4 \ 7 1s1u4 washing machine from the case, the three outputs are not colored, the resistance between them is the same. How can I connect it to the minimum load?

A small-sized electric compressor unit MAK-2 with an AK150SV head driven by an AIRE80C2 electric motor at a pressure of 100 atm, starting requires a starting capacitor. Recommend the model and capacity of the starting capacitor.

I have an engine of the brand ATILON Germany RF 375872/1. Grooves on the shaft under the brook belt. The resistance of the starting winding is 24.2 Ohms, and the working one is 9.4 Ohms. Tell me. switching circuit, capacity of the working capacitor. Thanks in advance.

Good afternoon!
I have a problem, I need a wiring diagram for an electric motor with a winding in the rotor.
in the stator I changed the winding and now I started assembling the circulatory system, but I am afraid to assemble such an engine without a circuit that I will not assemble it correctly.

Michael, what type of engine?

Dear ADMIN, the question is: there is a motor from the planer (capacitor) according to the machine passport 1.7 kW, capacity 40 μf., Six wires come out, two blue wires. 5 ohms, two. red 1.5 ohms, two brown ones almost 0 ohms, the lockers were dismantled , disconnected (due to rapid heating), and forgot to register the connection points. I’m interested in: what the hell are brown wires? The nameplate on the engine is NO! Turned on without brown with a constant capacitor and with a switch-off. HEATED without load in ten minutes to 50. I opened the engine covers, classic on blue and red wires, and brown went in one place inside the winding. What could be THESE brown wires?
Sincerely, Vyacheslav.

Blue and red wires are the starting and working windings. Read about it here. Brown wires most likely go to a thermistor that is installed inside the motor windings and protects the motor from overheating (overload). The question is why the thermistor shows 0 (Ohms), most likely it is out of order. This does not affect the operation, and if you correctly connected the starting and working windings, the engine should work without problems.

An interesting article) please write such an article about a single-phase asynchronous capacitor motor kd.50 N 1038-60

Leysan, such an article will be released soon, only about KD-25. In the meantime, read an article about determining the working and starting windings of single-phase motors.

Tell me on the engine in the compressor from (BK-1500).
850 watt single-phase motor with starting winding
3 terminals 2 go to network 1 through a capacitor (starting at startup) to the network. the resistance between these terminals is the same at 3.9 Ohms.
when connected to the network, it consumes 14 amperes (11.5 working windings and 2.5 starting), after disconnecting the starting capacitor, the current drops to 12 amperes (9.5 operating and 2.5 starting)! And according to the passport it says to him that he consumes a current of not more than 5 amperes! what is the reason and how to fix it please tell me.

Slavik, you need to double-check whether you have correctly marked the working and starting windings. Read about it here.

Thank you for the article, but could not find your answer. There is an asynchronous motor 110 / 220v 1420rpm 250w. 6 (six) conclusions come out of it, which are connected to each other in the terminal box. There is a circuit on the box lid, but no one can read it and start the engine correctly. Tell me how to start it?

Vladimir, you have a three-phase engine 127/220 (B), and you are reading an article about single-phase. Information for you is here.

Thanks for the answer, but something I did not meet three-phase motors on 110 / 220v and it was 110, and not 127, as I was corrected

Vladimir, I thought you were sealed up. You have a single-phase capacitor motor. The scheme is similar to that in the article. You need to find the windings (U1-U2 working, Z1-Z2 starting and capacitor leads), assign them a mark and connect accordingly.

Good afternoon, I want to ask if a charged capacitor of 50 microfarads is closed on this electric motor and the two contacts between each other are closed. The capacitor will fail or not.

Ruslan, you don’t need to do this, but if you accidentally close, a discharge will occur if it was previously charged. The capacitor will not fail.

thanks, everything is clear.

Dear administrator, please tell me what capacity capacitor do you need a 1.5kv motor with one capacitor?

Roman, specify which engine you have. single-phase or three-phase? And better write his type.

Uv.admin! Problem! Machine motor ubdn 6m. Moldavian. There is nothing on it, according to the passport of the machine 1500 watts, 3500 rpm. 3 ends 2 Conders. How to recognize workers two windings or one? Capacities 20 and 90 microfarads

Yes, the resistance between the ends is 27.70.95

Boris, read an article about determining the working and starting windings in a single-phase motor, there is an explanation on a real example. For your case, the winding 27 (Ohm). working, 70 (Ohm). starting.

Why 2 conders?

Apparently, to gain the desired total capacitance of 110 (microfarads) with a parallel connection.

Maybe the starting winding does not turn off and works through a small conder? Is the big one used at launch?

No, the working winding is always connected directly to the 220 (V) network. But the launcher must be connected through a capacitor. But for starters, I would try to connect one capacitor to 90 (microfarads).

And disconnect the starting winding? The fact is that through the start button of the PNV c10u2, a large conder is fastened to the swing-out contact, and the small one in the circuit does not recline. I did not make out. The engine shuts down and does not start as a result of the circuit there. From engine 3 wires, from buttons 4 and 2 of Conder

Here you need to experiment within reason of course. I have not met such an engine, but I would have started like this. First, I would connect the start winding through a capacitor 20 (μF) and try to start the engine without load (at idle). About 10 minutes to work. touch the body for heating. If everything is fine, then I would connect the load to the shaft and start the engine again. the start time is important whether the engine is coping or not. If visually starting is difficult, then you can try to turn on the capacitor 90 (μF) using the button for the start time and again see the start time.

You can immediately directly connect the capacitor 90 (microfarad) and drive the engine idling, touch the winding. it is heated or not. If the case does not heat up, then connect the load to the shaft and try starting under load.

In general, try different options and find the most correct and optimal for yourself.

Thanks I will try,

Yes, and another question, and what can be on the engine 3500 rpm? I thought 2950 about the limit.

In single-phase, this is not the limit

Good day! SW Admin please tell me why the engine is idling? Engine make: GoldStar WMR182E6 1/4 HP 220 V 50Hz 2A 10MFD 450VAC 90-07 starting capacitor MKP 12.5 mF 250V. Output 3 wires black navy green. He took measurements as in the article, on black 2 windings, yellow and green showed equal resistance. He concluded for himself that the windings are equal. On black, I started the phase on yellow and picked up the green capacitor. And through a 3-pin toggle switch, I put zero on the yellow and green wires, the principle of the toggle switch is to change the zero on the yellow and green wires. On 1 and 3 contacts, I picked up the yellow and green wires. The main contact 2 put a zero on it, when you press the 1st position, the rotation to the right; when you press the 2nd position, the rotation to the left, reverse), I tried to disconnect the capacitor after starting the difference, it gets warm (((. I wrote it like that) I hope it’s clear. I’m waiting for an answer.

GooRoo, according to your description, you connected it correctly. And what is straight very hot? If the engine starts well, I would try to reduce the capacitance of the capacitor to 5-7 (microfarads), if there is one in stock, then it’s worth a try.

Thanks Dmitry for the answer. It gets very hot (only 10mF available, I’m going to buy it.

Hello.
Faced a similar problem: I can not connect the 4AMAT80 engine. The nameplate says: single-phase capacitor 220v, but in the terminal box there are 6 terminals with the same resistance between 3 pairs. Please tell me the connection diagram.
Sincerely, Alexander.

Could you tell me what I should do best. I have an AIRE 80S2UZ engine on the compressor. Very reluctant to start. In parallel with the working capacitor at 50, I set the starting at 150 (for now, through the button). It began to start very vigorously, however, after disconnecting the starting capacitor, the button immediately stops. If the launcher is not disconnected, then the thermal relay will be cut off.

Good afternoon. I have a 2.2 kW YL90L-2 engine on the compressor, there are two capacitors, the launcher is disconnected through a centrifugal switch, it starts with difficulty. Does it make sense to increase the capacity of the PC, or even get rid of the centrifugal switch and put a button to facilitate starting at low voltage?

Maybe someone has a connection diagram for such an engine, otherwise I have suspicions that the Chinese are too smart.

Michael, you should not change the scheme. What is the capacitance of the starting capacitor?

Good afternoon!
I have a 220 V, 1.1 kW capacitor motor on my sawmill (working capacitor 100 uF. Starting. 300 uF). The start is normal, it picks up speed normally. But as soon as you start to saw, the engine sits down to a stop.

Sergey, you need a more powerful engine for a sawmill.

Good afternoon. A 2.2 kW YL90L-2 engine burned out on the compressor. There are two capacitors on it, the starter is switched off through a centrifugal switch. In exchange, he purchased the AIRE 80C2 engine with one 50mF capacitor. The 300mf capacitor is from the old. Tell me how to connect to work with pressure automation.

Hello, do you tell me about the question I asked earlier?

Could you tell me what I should do best. I have an AIRE 80S2UZ engine on the compressor. Very reluctant to start. In parallel with the working capacitor at 50, I set the starting at 150 (for now, through the button). It began to start very vigorously, however, after disconnecting the starting capacitor, the button immediately stops. If the launcher is not disconnected, then the thermal relay will be cut off.

Roman, if you do not want to turn off the starting capacitor using the button, then connect the contact of the centrifugal switch instead.

For starters, I would check a new engine without a starting capacitor, maybe it will start easily without it.

Vladimir, check the capacitance of the working capacitor.

Hello admin! Please tell me how to connect the KD120-2 UHL42 120W engine. 2700 rpm it has 4 outputs, three green wires two of which were soldered., and one white. And how to connect such an engine to reverse.

I read the article, identified the starting and working windings. connected them in series, and between them a 6μF capacitor. and the engine spins to the right. And you can’t connect to the reverse.

working directly into the network connected. and the launcher through a capacitor.

Agera, if you want to change the direction of rotation of the motor, then you need to change the output of the starting winding in places.

Thanks for the help, I figured it out myself. Another question is, will a capacitor at 6 microfarads be enough or you can take an 8 microfarad for this KD120-2 UHL42 120W engine. 2600 rpm ??

Ager, it all depends on the load on the motor shaft during start-up, better 8 (microfarads), but if it starts quite easily, you can leave 6 (microfarads). Give it a try.

Can I use UHF capacitors as workers?

Mika, it’s not possible, but necessary. At the moment they are the most reliable and are designed specifically for AC voltage circuits.

This is not a task yet. SVV 60 writes start capacitors on one site, and workers on only one start. And doubts began. Launchers, they are workers, or how, or what?

Mika, these are capacitors and this is the main thing. They can be used both as workers and as launchers.

Thanks again!

P.S. Because it writes non-polar electrolytic (and earlier electrolytes were used only as starting ones), this is why there are doubts.

There is a single-phase motor, a cond hangs on it on one wire. but the rest of the ends are simply detached. I begged my father for a mini emery. help assemble the chain. 2 ends out of the engine. to one end is connected cond. everything else for some reason can be torn off from time to time.

Great articles! Everything is Available and Clear.

Good afternoon. there is a surface pump similar to a BCM. during operation, partially fell to the input and worked a little in this position. then the person left 3 days in the sun to turn on the dry. the pump worked, but the water pressure was three times less than it was, what could be the problem? need to rewind windings? in the Conder shield at 20 uF 450V, maybe it creates a problem? I will be happy to answer

Good afternoon. Tell me please. There is an engine from the Sibir washing machine, the marking is jammed, so there is no data. Three wires come out of it (without marking, in a fabric braid of the same color). The KBG 6mkf. 600V Conder is connected to terminals (conditionally) 1 and 3, terminal 2 is free. Measured the resistance between the terminals:
terminals 1-2 = 58, 1-3 = 79, 2-3 = 23 Tell me how to connect? Thanks in advance.

Video: How to Cut a Triangle on a Circular

Garik, you need to connect 220 (V) to terminals 2 and 3. The working winding is 2-3, the starting through the capacitor is 1-2. Read more here.

Thanks. Everything worked.

Good day.
A question. There is an electric motor (in appearance it is very similar to that given in the AIRE article, only without a capacitor on the side) with a thoroughly worn nameplate, i.e. neither brand nor operating current. nothing. And out of the terminal box comes three identical wires in rubber insulation (the wires are not connected to the terminals but just stick out from somewhere in the case).

There is a need to connect this engine to a 220 volt network, the question is how to do this without knowing the parameters and pinouts of the wires?

Hello, please answer the question: the same engine was purchased as in this article, when idling for more than 15 minutes it overheats, secondly there is vibration (the engine is new, connected according to the diagram), a friend also purchased this engine, only smaller power with the same symptoms, is this a normal job and with what is everything listed above connected?

Andrei, what in your understanding is "very hot"? It is necessary to fix the heating temperature and look at the passport for its maximum permissible temperature. You also need to check the engine operation mode (according to the old air conditioner in "%", according to the new S1-S9) and make sure that your engine works in this mode.

There is nothing in the passport by temperature, only the nameplate indicates the insulation class F (on the Internet155 C °) I also figured out the mode, S6-40%, as I understand it, a variable. And what can you say about vibration at idle (meaning vibration is higher than that of three-phase motors)?

Good afternoon.
Single-phase compressor of an unknown manufacturer.
5 wires come out of the motor 2-red 2-blue 1- brown and brown is ringing with a blue winding.
Working Conder 65mf Launcher 189-227mf
All wires were disconnected by someone. I tried to connect and start but without success. With such a motor, I ran into the first.
What do you advise
With uv. Gennady.

Gennady, is the type of engine known?

Hello admin! The question is not quite on the topic. I did not find a suitable topic. There is a well with a pump. 2 houses (two sources for powering the pump). I want to establish a scheme for controlling the pump from two places. over, to block the opposite source. That is, one person shakes himself, the second at that moment could neither stop nor turn on the pump. How to realize this "blue" dream do not tell? I did not find anything like that in nete.

Peter, this is quite feasible. The circuit will be similar to the reverse circuit (read the section on electric motors). The point is this. Each consumer has its own button post. Each controls its own contactor, but, accordingly, it is not necessary to reverse the motor. The main thing here is to correctly lock when one of the contactors is working, and this reverse lock is just what the reversing circuit has. it just needs to be changed a little.

Good day!
I read the article, but questions remained.
I have a 2.2 kW 220 engine with 6 pins. The wires to the terminal block are not connected. I found out that two pairs of brown wires are windings. A pair of red and blue, this is the conclusion from the brushes. According to your scheme, only the windings are connected, and where to connect the wires from the brushes? Can you explain? Or I don’t understand something, still I’m not a professional electrician.

Good afternoon! Thank you for the article. I understand that for my AIRE80A2U3 engine (1.1 kW, 2790 rpm., S1, 220v mode), the connection is similar to the AIRE 80C2 engine described in the article. Tell me, what is the capacity of the working capacitor for the normal operation of my engine?

Igor, you have a similar scheme. For an AIRE 80A2 single-phase motor with a power of 1.1 (kW), the capacitance of the working capacitor should be 32 (μF), the capacitor voltage of 450 (V).

Thank you! I will look for a capacitor and try to run.

Hello, I bought a single-phase air 80s2 2.2kw 2800 rpm engine. the capacitor is 60mf, it works at idle, but it is worth throwing the belt even without tension, it buzzes and refuses to rotate. What could be the reason?

Good afternoon! Tell me how to properly connect the ELPROM-TETEVEN motor type EORKMO 41 / 4A 40 W 220 V 0.5A 50 Hz 1380 rpm. There are 3 wires, two of them (red and green) are connected to the capacitor, one (white). Which wires should I try supplying 220V to?

Igor, this is a single-phase engine, has a working and starting winding. Here is the connection diagram for a similar engine.

Good afternoon.
I read your articles and was very pleased with the way you submit information, focusing not on specialists, but simply on people whose hands grow normally, there is simply a lack of knowledge in this area. Many thanks.
I have two questions:
1. There is a 0.55 kV engine with four outputs. The multimeter shows resistance on only one pair of wires. Does this mean that there is a break in the second winding?
2. What capacitors (starting and working) are recommended to use when connecting a 1.1 kV engine, 2800 revolutions with a triangle? Will be used for the grinder.
Thank you

1. If the engine is 0.55 (kW) single-phase with a working and starting winding, and one of the windings does not “ring”, then it means a break.
2. For the calculation of capacitors for three-phase motors, read the article about connecting a three-phase motor to a single-phase network.

Hello, everything is very well described, but there is a question. The motor with a circular motor, it seems asynchronous with a squirrel-cage rotor of 820 W 220 V. 3 wires come out of it, the resistance between any two is the same. approximately 0.76 Ohms. How to connect it as rationally as possible? thanks in advance.

Sergey, here’s an article about connecting a single-phase motor to help you.

Hello! Faced such a problem, a single-phase motor on a vegetable cutter (after water got into the engine) began to spin counterclockwise. The starting and working windings have a common conclusion, that is, only 3 wires come out of the engine, the capacitor is on the starting winding, respectively. The question is how to change the rotation of the motor without disassembling it?

Yes, and the windings in resistance are different, and it is visually visible that the cross-section of the wire is different for them. If you connect the working one through the capacitor, and the starting one directly, will the starting winding burn out?

what capacity does a capacitor need for a KD120-UHL4 engine

and how many volts should the capacitor be?

Eugene, the capacitance of the capacitors should be from 6 to 15 (microfarads) with a voltage of 400-500 (V), depending on its size. For example, KD120-4 / 56RM6. 6 (μF), KD120-4 / 56RM. 8 (μF), KD120-4 / 56R. 15 (μF).

Good day. A question arose. To connect the starting capacitor, I have enough relay for 5 amperes? (The engine is single-phase 2.2 kW, it costs a working capacitor of 50 μF 450V) To start the engine I want to use a starting capacitor of 200 μF 300V through a 5A mechanical timer. Thanks.

Hello, I have a single-phase asynchronous motor, it has 2 capacitors and 6 conclusions from them. I know that 2 wires is a working winding, 2 more wires, a starting winding and 2 more wires that are connected as a circuit, how to connect this motor

What exactly interests you, how to figure out where is which output or are they marked with you and you don’t know how to connect them?

I have them marked and I don’t know how to connect them

Connect according to the scheme specified in the article.

Hello. All the same, I would like to make the right decision. Is a 3-phase motor in a 220v network better through a triangle or star circuit? A friend says that through a star he will take less energy. And how will this affect the long-term operation of the engine? Engine old type AOF 51-4. Power is not known. I suppose 3.5 kW. Since it is written on it 220/380, 16.2 / 9.3A, 1440 rpm. , cos 0.86, efficiency is not known. It used to be a 3-phase straw chopper, now it’s the same from 220. We launched it through the condors (350 microfarads) according to the star scheme, after 10 minutes it was hot and smell like resin. Maybe if it weren’t heated through a triangle?

Hello.
The question is: what DC resistance should the windings of the SEg80-2D (AIRE80S2) working motor have?

They brought an engine with a starting relay from a woodworking machine, they said that a fuse was burning. Start relay checked, normal. I measured the motor windings with a multimeter: U winding. 1.2 Ohms DC, winding Z. 3.6 Ohms DC.
Measure them with an RLC meter at a test frequency of 100Hz: U winding. 29.5mH; 5.23Q; 3.57 Ohm, Z winding. 92.8 mH; 4.96 Q; 11.7 ohms.
There is no short circuit in the windings, there is inductance.

Hello.
After replacing the fuse 15A. engine turned on normally. All my measurements of the windings can be used in the future, as the data of a working engine.

Thank you for the accessible presentation of the material.

Nice to deal with literate people. Thanks.

Hello. How to choose a current on a thermal circuit breaker for the Belarusian AIRE63 engine, measuring 1.67a came out. And what kind of circuit breakers exist? To disable during overload. Thanks in advance.

Hello. I need to connect a 220 V motor with a power of 2200 W from a Corvette cutting machine. After rewinding there are 6 ends. I checked 4 of them. these are starting and working windings. I can not find application for the remaining 2 ends. Rewinders claim that they are designed to connect a starting capacitor. You can shed light on all this. Thanks in advance.

Rather, let the winders shed! An unidentified winding in itself, or some part? In general, if there are two, why a third? Or winders meant that there is a worker, there is a phase shifter, and they added a launcher. To be honest, the first time I meet this. Previously, two were enough. the worker worked, the shift was enough for both start-up and work.

I connected this same engine according to the diagram above, without using two incomprehensible ends. True, without a starting capacitor. When x.h. starts up. As soon as the drive belts were put on, the start-up became o-o-very hard. Now I want to include a starting capacitor in the circuit through the button. I will try to use the scheme from the same article.

Capacitor or add. the winding not only provides start-up, but also the desired direction of rotation. If this is not the case, the rotor does not care where to turn.

Andrew, I found on the Internet a connection diagram for a Corvette-321 woodworking machine. There really is a 2.2 (kW) capacitor motor with outputs U1, U2, Z1 and Z2. On the AIRE 80C2 engine under consideration, the capacitance of the working capacitor is 50 (μF). In your case, the working capacitor should be about the same capacity, plus for a reliable start, you can briefly turn on the starting capacitors at 100-150 (μF).

Hello
Tell me, I have a remesh compressor with a YL90S-2 engine CAPACITOR 1.5 (kW), a slave of 40 microfarads, a start of 250 microfarads does not start if the network is equal to 220V, a large drawdown of the network is triggered by a thermal snout, which will increase the capacity of larger capacitors by 50 microfarads, 300 microfarads ?

Hello. There is a 4AMAT80A4U3 capacitor motor, the nameplate says single-phase, but the connection is like a 3-phase one. Please help me figure out what kind of animal it is (1 or 3 phase) and through which capacitor connect 90 uF (on the nameplate )?

Sergey, 4AMAT80A4U3 is a single-phase capacitor motor. The connection scheme is completely similar to the scheme indicated in the article. There are 6 conclusions in the terminal block, which made you think that it is three-phase. If the power of your engine is 0.75 (kW), then the capacity of the working capacitor should be 90 (μF), which is written on the tag.

And, I forgot to ask, but can I connect it through a frequency converter?

Yes, Sergey. You need to purchase a single-phase frequency converter to control single-phase asynchronous squirrel-cage motors with a capacitor. In some models, when connecting the motor, it is necessary to dismantle the working capacitor, but this will be described in more detail in the manual for the specific converter model.

Another question: can it (4AMAT80A4U3) be connected with a star, right now is connected with a triangle and how will it work better?
Thank you in advance!

Sergey, what star, what triangle? He is single-phase. Read the article more carefully, see how the windings are connected (there are two of them) and the capacitor, where the jumpers are placed and 220 (V) is supplied.

There are 2 jumpers in article, but for some reason I have 3, I can take off the photo.

Sergey, and before that, where was it installed?

He came to me in this form (with 3 jumpers), which is why the question was asked above, and is it not a 3-phase phaser?

Then you need to ring the winding with a multimeter and make sure that there are two, not one. Or vice versa.

There is still a version that it is wound as a three-phase but two windings are connected in series

Hello. Again I want to unsubscribe from the engine from the Corvette. Everything went well. Two incomprehensible ends are centrifugal contacts on the motor shaft, which are designed to turn on the starting capacitor at the beginning of start-up, and when the engine picks up speed, turn it off automatically. Well, the rest of the ends are, as I already wrote, the starting and working windings. I hope this information helps someone if this one-on-one turns out to be with an engine with 6 ends))))))))))

Hello, I found the engine from an old UHL4 180W washing machine, pulled out a 10Mkf 500v Conder from the same washing machine, connected it according to your scheme, the start is quick, but after 15 seconds it starts to warm up and smokes with a smoke, the windings are warming up.
Tell me what is the reason, although novoe worked its

Did you correctly identify the windings, or were they already included? Actually, the engine is tenacious. Look at the windings, if it was overheated, there should be a darkening of the insulation. It would be nice to measure the current.

The windings are correct 12.3 Ohm. Operating; 30.06 Ohm. Launcher, I even tried to turn off the launcher after starting, one fig is warming up, I thought maybe the bearings are wedging, but no, when you rotate the rotor with your fingers, it’s completely free to spin, even there is no crunch in the bearings, of course I can see the appearance for a long time lying on the street in the rain. And the ampere, maybe I’m wrong, I see no reason to measure, because I connect the engine in the garage and the light on the ceiling blinks a little

Hello.
Great site. A lot of useful information.

I would like to add CALCULATIONS to the site, for example. “How to calculate the starting current of a single-phase capacitor motor 1.5 kW air compressor”. In the compressor instructions, nothing but power is indicated and the engine speed is 2850 rpm. I bought a gas generator 2.4 nom.-2.7 max kW. and I’m afraid and don’t know how to connect so that the winding of the gas generator does not burn out (synchronous engine with AVR). On the Internet, soft starters are expensive to buy, but they write that it is better to stick a thermal relay on the motor winding? And how to choose a thermal relay for a gas generator according to calculation, so that it turns off if the winding is heated to a certain temperature? And what temperature is critical for turning off the synchronous engine of a gas generator? Thanks.

You started from the wrong place. First of all, consider that the starting current will be at least equal to three operating currents, and then, provided that you have a good compressor, and the pressure relief system from the receiver’s non-return valve to the barorele works, i.e. when the engine is STARTED, there is no excess in the cylinder, but there is atmospheric pressure. Then a normal start-up is possible, and then work, because these 1.5 kW of the compressor are declared at a full load of the motor pumping up to 8 kgf / cm.sq. with a certain flow rate in the receiver is possible.
Your BG is simply obliged to have an automatic machine for passport current, if it is present and serviceable, it must monitor the overload and work out the bread. But we must bear in mind a small trifle. all these passport capacities on the BG, however, as on the compressor, as a rule, are Chinese and are far from realities. For example, BG with a passport. 2700 watts did not digest the start of two compressors of two refrigerators at the same time and died. But the compressor has not 1.5 kW, but only 120. 150 watts, but the starting current is 7. 10 amperes, this has been checked more than once.
What to advise? When starting the compressor, turn off unnecessary consumers, then, with a set of revolutions, you can turn them on.
You don’t stick anything on the BG winding, inside it, and there is airflow there, the rest, including and the winding material is aluminum instead of copper (often). on the conscience of manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom.

So all the same, what capacitance should be for a 1.3 kW engine?

Hello, advise reference books on small engines, for example, SD-10U4.2 for some reason, on the huge Internet there are only assumptions for connecting and tips on experimenting with it, is there really no reference?
Or, if possible, show the scheme of its inclusion.

Hello! I ask for help. There is an asynchronous e-dv. 4 outputs come out of the stator. One is common, the other ends relative to the general show resistance-45.120 and 140 Ohms. How to connect the dv correctly. to the network 220v.

No, all the resistances should be the same, but it turns out that one winding has an inter-turn circuit, judging by the low resistance. Or wrong measurements are taken.

Thank you. And this email cannot be. two-phase and with a working winding of 45 ohms and starting. 120 ohms, and the 3rd winding ind. resistance? I’m conn. between the "slave" and the "start" windings, the capacitor is 4 microfarads. The engine works, but after a minute it heats up very much.

It can’t be inductive. Your tester, when measuring resistance, works on direct current, this time, the second is it, this inductive did not arise in air.
If the motor is single-phase, then there should not be a connection between the windings with 4 outputs.

I connected this engine on a makeshift crane through magnetic starters to raise and lower the boom. The circuit works but:. For convenience, I removed the wires from the terminal block and arranged them, as in your circuit, only instead of jumpers, the contacts are M.P. And the location on the terminal block was as follows: Z2 and a capacitor are connected to W2; K U2. Other capacitor wire; K V2-U2; To U1-nothing; K V1-U1; To W1-Z1 And, according to the two connection schemes on the cover, the windings had to be connected in series, and in one case the capacitor was bridged with a jumper, and in the other, all 220 volts were supplied to it. During operation of the motor on the case, dangerous 220 volts. The question is, did I violate the email. scheme?

Hello. I decided to clarify. We are talking about the AIRE 80 C2 engine. And, if possible, photos to my message. The engine has not yet been disassembled, but measurements with a multimeter have shown that both windings “hit” the case (the terminals are removed from the terminal block). It turns out that the motor was with series-connected windings, and I connected it in parallel and set it on fire. But the jambs with the connection of capacitors in the engine diagram do not let me believe in it. Maybe someone has met such engines? Waiting for clues

Victor, with such questions you should contact our forum (link in the top menu of the site). On the forum, you can attach photos to the message for clarity. Thanks.

Thanks. I will try to throw photos on your forum

Victor, the windings could not be there in series, they are all the same connected in parallel, one has a capacitor in series, but in any case there are two common points, and that’s it. And why 220 on the case, a separate issue

Hello! Thanks for participating. It is a pity there is no time to disassemble and see why both windings on the case. but about the serial connection. I carefully looked again and made sure that if I connected as on the diagram (on the cover) and did not re-plug the wires on the terminal strip, then the windings would be connected in series. I will learn to upload photos. will send. Thanks.

You can not turn on the windings in series in a normal single-phase motor with a capacitor. Only in parallel, but through a capacitor. Firstly, they are different both in the number of turns and in resistance.
The case and the voltage on it is not a question of the circuit, but of the state of the motor, it just should never be like that in any circuit, this is a malfunction, and it’s not enough to guess the reasons.

Hello. I have a 3-phase 2.2 kW engine, 950 rpm. I put it on the compressor. I put a working CBV capacitor of 50 μF. The compressor pumps up to 2 atmospheres, and then it’s very difficult to turn it. I saw such working capacitors on the factory compressors, they work excellent, but mine doesn’t have enough capacity. What could be the reason ?? and can I put an additional capacitor K75-40b 750v 100mkF ?? are these two UHV and K75-40b conders friends ?? or do I need the same UHV ?? Thanks

Firstly, the compressor, which, by the way? 950 rpm and will be small. Secondly, for such a motor, 50 microfarads is also not enough. Thirdly, the motor and the network do not care what type and manufacturer the capacitors are, if only they were non-polar and with the correct voltage, more than 400 volts.
At the factory, made at the factory, the motors are single-phase and the calculation of the capacity there is different.

Self-made air compressor. The compressor itself is from ZIL 130. the engine speed suits me. so I just need to take a larger working capacitor. thanks for the answer

If Zilovsky, there are no questions, enough revolutions. Pick up capacities, you can add a launcher. But what about the barorelle, with pressure relief in it and in the cylinders? You are aware that when starting the motor, the pressure in the compressor itself should not be, otherwise the motor will overload.

With the start-up, everything is normal. The CD60 Conder costs 150 μF, in 2 atmospheres it starts up as empty, with half a poke)) But the pressure in the compressor itself (in the crankcase) seems to be, because. pressure drives oil. between the receiver and the compressor there is a check valve

Hello
Question 1: how and what to put a thermal relay on a single-phase AIRE 80 2C electric motor (to be inexpensive)?
Question 2: Do I need to install an electromagnetic starter for this motor or can I do without it?

1- does it work for so long that it overheats?
2- the contactor in your case is just a remote switch, no more, needed, far from the pump? The normal switch on the operating current reserve is small and that’s it.
Explain the meaning of the questions, the nuances, everything will be easier.

I have a three-phase electric motor 1.1 kW / 1500 rpm on a self-made compressor zil130 connected to a triangle. Working 100 microfarad. Starting 200 microfarad. It pumps 8 atmospheres and starts without problems even under load. but my question is this: can I use polar capacitors in the working circuit? I found a connection diagram for two polar. Condensers with a serial connection in a variable circuit. here is interesting maybe someone experimented?

It is possible, but they must be shunted by diodes. True, the range of capacities is decent, h / s how they behave. I didn’t apply it myself, but I heard from the staff what was next, I won’t say.

Alexander, it’s possible, but not necessary. In the article about connecting a three-phase motor to a single-phase network, I already mentioned this. Such a circuit will contain additional elements in the form of rectifier diodes and limiting resistors. During the breakdown of the diode, an alternating current will flow through the capacitor, which will cause the destruction of its oxide layer, heating and, finally, explosion. Use paper (MPGO, MBGP, KBP, MBGO) or modern metallized polypropylene capacitors (UHV), specially designed for AC circuits.

Chinese drainage pump, single-phase 750 W motor with one working capacitor 15mkf 450 V.
A capacitor was covered, put another one of the same, began to spin in the opposite direction. The windings are connected inside; one cannot change the ends.
How to change the initial direction of rotation? Does capacitance or type of capacitor affect. This question has already been asked here, but there was no answer. Share, maybe someone has already met with this.

The direction of rotation is determined by the phasing of the biasing winding, and not by the capacitance. With such a capacitor, is the start always sure, not tightened and always one way?

Well, why did the direction of rotation change. The start is sure, the engine works fine, but the pump rotates in the opposite direction and does not pump?

1- completely incomprehensible p / positive rotation. Neither theory nor practice can.
2- how did you find that it doesn’t pump? Is there water in the cavity? These pumps themselves do not pump water, if there is air in the cavity of the impeller, it is necessary to fill.

Hello! Yesterday I bought an AIRE80s2 engine, opened the lid and on it is a circuit with three jumpers, so it should be? Or remove one

They gave me a small woodworking machine. Release of the 80s. According to the owner. "it was beautifully launched with a rope."

Having disassembled, I saw an engine with an incomprehensible wiring diagram, a mount for an old capacitor (there is no capacitor itself), dead bearings, etc. delights.

All brought to the ideal. It remains to turn on. When connected according to the "native" scheme. the engine is buzzing, warming up, but not gaining momentum. Spin, but slowly.

After reading the topic. I have a few questions.

Two pairs of wires come out of the engine. They have factory nameplates. On two wires (they are thicker and BLACK). “working”. On the second pair (they are thinner and BEIGE). ”Launcher”.

I know that they used to use a circuit with two and one capacitor.

1. What is my scheme?
2. Do I need only a "shifting" working capacitor, or also a starting one?
3. What is the value of a capacitor?
4.Can I turn on the “general” turning on of the machine. The machine, and next to it the capacitor button?
5. Does it matter where the phase moves, and where it goes, because the plug is poked differently each time?

Engine power 0.53 kW. There is an incomprehensible line on the nameplate of the engine: “53.61%”.

I turned to local electronics (not electricians). they said that we needed one capacitor (non-polar) for 5 (FIVE _ Karl.) MKf.

. that’s why I’m climbing with my fiction. Not so much I need this machine, as much as I like to put old things in order.

Good afternoon! I saw a question here on the 4amat80a2u3 engine:
(Hello.
Faced a similar problem: I can not connect the 4AMAT80 engine. The nameplate says: single-phase capacitor 220v, but in the terminal box there are 6 terminals with the same resistance between 3 pairs. Please tell me the connection diagram.
Sincerely, Alexander.)
But I did not see the answer, in general the same problem. It has 3 windings, and on the nameplate one phase, the engine is new. 82 years old.

In short, I set the Conder to 5 microfarads. Everything worked, but it turns SEEMS to the other side.

Sanya, about the reverse of single-phase motors, read here on the example of KD-25.

Alexei, it’s strange, but I kind of gave a link to 4AMAT. there is a two-part working one for reverse, with output from the middle point and shifting with a capacitor.

Hello. The problem is this: I have an asynchronous motor, assembled a triangle with a conder, it starts and works well, but in the wrong direction. If possible, give a link to connect to the other side of rotation, and if possible then in the installation form. Thanks in advance

Andrei, if the engine is three-phase and connected to a single-phase network, then here is an article about the reverse of such engines.

Thanks for the article, tell me, I did not understand from your article how to distinguish a motor with a permanently connected capacitor from an engine with a temporarily starting capacitor. Or poke your finger where it is explained to you. Thanks.

Many thanks. Everything worked out.

Hello! Today I ran into an incomprehensible engine, in search of an answer I came across your (excellent!) Site. The engine is mounted on a compressor of the PRC avenue. After rewinding. No data has been saved. The owners claim that it is 5 kW (I doubt it). This miracle worked from a single-phase 220V network. In boron 6 ends. I tried to connect this motor as a normal three-phase asynchronous to a single-phase network, to a star with a capacitor. The engine started, but sparks appeared from the wire outlet openings, as it happens on commutator motors when the brushes wear. "Experiments" immediately stopped. I went to smoke the Internet. Later, it turned out that there were still two capacitors without markings, but one of them exploded. Now I suspect that this is not an asynchronous star, but the so-called "Open circuit" with starting and working capacitors. I have never encountered anything like this, I ask the advice of respected masters:
1 how to accurately determine the type of engine?
2 how to determine the true power for the selection of capacitors?
3 what is there to spark inside? some kind of launcher breaker?
4 how to connect such an engine correctly. how did it work before!
Best regards, Sergei

Hello! Admin took the engine condition used. The worker did not have a terminal box. Two blue and two white wires are sticking out, they are thinner, and the capacitor is 45 microfarads. The nameplate is written seg802B 2800ob. 1 f. How to connect it to the network correctly? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Ilya, here’s an article to help you. there I was just telling how to determine the working and starting windings of a single-phase motor.

and a capacitor of 40 microfarads will be working and permanently connected ??

a question for connoisseurs. who connected the co-206 220 volt loop machine how to do this? is it possible detailed information? how what where to connect, who specifically did this?

And how is this engine different from the rest? Read the article on choosing capacitors, assemble and work.

Good afternoon. Help to connect and select the asynchronous air71v4u3 motor conder for the engine; it comes out with just three wires U V W I want to connect to 220. Thank you in advance!

Hello! Please tell me which AIRE single-phase motor to choose to start the Zil compressor with a load (3 atm in the receiver) without a starting capacitor? There is a three-phase motor 0.6 kW 3000 rpm, operating from 3 phases, there are no questions about it.

Please tell me, after rewinding the AIRMUT63V4U2 220V 3.9A 370W 1380 ob / min engine with a 12mF capacitor, connecting it according to the scheme with a working capacitor and connecting it to the mechanism without load, it worked perfectly, but it only started to load, and after half an hour the smell went warm and boomed. What could be the reason?

Before turning on, you checked the windings for resistance, is nothing confused?

Good afternoon, Dmitry, I ask you for help, tell me please. There is a single-phase condenser motor. Without identification marks, six wires are sticking out, two black in double insulation, two green and red and yellow. Almost everyone calls each other, what to do, how to ring, which cond, etc. I get angry that I ask a lot,
this good

The four ends are ringing together.

Victor, if the engine is SINGLE-PHASE, only 2 and 2 stator leads can ring in pairs, otherwise it doesn’t, it’s working and shifting windings.
It is advisable not to use the term LIKE and ALMOST, use zero! What you have there really is foggy. How to understand-. almost everyone calls each other. does the tester show some resistance or not? How many?
Colors are not decisive. they could rewind the motor, in the factory version, as a rule, there were tags on the wires with letters and numbers.

Here are such measurements of U1-U2-4.7ohm V1-V2-1.9ohm w1-w2-0.3ohm V1-U1-3.3 V2-U2-3.3ohm V2-U1-1.8ohm V1-U2-1.8ohm conditionally called letters. thanks

Yes, how much! See carefully the diagrams at the beginning of the topic; there, in principle, there are no links between the windings, the exception is some tricky and unknown single-phase motor. Most likely, eo is not single-phase.

Maybe so visually similar single-phase KOND on the case there is a place for Conder

Wean from these household ones. it seems, it seems, sort of. If the motor was originally a capacitor, it’s one thing, if something amateur from a three-phase is different. Could show a couple of photos not seeming, but still normal designs with capacitors. Not a collective farm.
If the motor is single-phase, its circuit and other things, if the three-phase is its own, but so that it seems to be one-phase, but it rings like in a three-phase, I do not remember this.

Thanks I will learn all the best

Please tell me which AIRE single-phase motor to choose to start the Zil compressor with a load (3 atm in the receiver) without a starting capacitor? There is a three-phase motor 0.6 kW 3000 rpm, operating from 3 phases, there are no questions about it.

To answer the questions there are:
– direct drive, or through a belt?
– traditional- is there a pressure relief when the barorel is triggered?
In the garage there is an industrial ETALON compressor, single-cylinder, direct drive, single-phase motor, condenser, 1.5 kW.
Why asked about pressure relief? Because I ask everyone, having experience and work and repair, if this is not the case, starting up will be difficult with direct drive due to the residual pressure in the cylinder. If with a belt, it will somehow start. Previously, there was a compressor from the GAZ-66. almost half of yours, with a belt drive without a barrele, sometimes squeaked the belt at the start.
In Soviet times, gas-powered belt-driven compressors were equipped with 630 W single-phase motors.

Please tell us about the motor protection circuit during phase failure using a relay.

Victor, read about this in the article about the EL-11 relay.

Victor, do not be lazy, even though the type of network and motor indicate three or one phase?

Drive through a belt, gear ratio approximately 1: 3, no pressure relief, engine start at 3 atm. I would like to switch to AIRE and save on the control unit for it, so that there is enough working capacitor.

There is another option for connecting the starting capacitance. a conventional relay. At the time of starting, the magnetic starter starts the engine, and the relay is powered simply through the same button. While holding the button, the starting capacitance is connected to the circuit. Release the button. open the starting capacitor circuit.

The relay must be correct. the contacts must endure both current and voltage above 220. Isn’t it easier to take the PNVS-10 button, where there is already a starting contact that is closed at the time of start, but not fixed, unlike the rest?

to surfactant
Why not? I agree. The relay option is one of many options. It’s just that I have about half a hundred drop dead German reels from some equipment.

That’s what they would say, not everyone knows what happiness has fallen on you!

The drive through the belt, the gear ratio is approximately 3: 1, there is no pressure relief, the engine starts at 3 atm.

Good afternoon, please help.

I connect a three-phase 4ah71v4u3 motor (750W). connected the capacitance into a triangle, I connect according to the scheme between c6 / s1. c3 / s5 (does this matter?). Capacity according to calculations

50mF
As a result, the engine runs smoothly, but the voltage between the windings is 213, 216,233 V. I tried the 46 mF capacitance and I have on the windings 214, 214, 227 V. And also 56 mF I got 219, 218, 239 V.

What voltage variation between the windings is permissible for the motor so that it does not burn out?

Thank you very much for the answer, I can not find an intelligible answer anywhere

Will not burn. In general, the ideal solution is to select the current capacitance in the windings, as close as possible. But such a spread is not fatal; in a real three-phase system, it happens worse.

I will check the currents for time, but in general, the calculated by the formula seems to be true

49mF.
And the deviation with this capacity is minimal.

Good that you are!

Hello, I bought a compressor, and all the wires are corroded. YL90L-2 engine, 2.2 kW 2830 rpm, it has 2 SVV (60) capacitors at 50 mph and CD60A at 300 mph. I know that there was a centrifugal disconnector, which is now simply not there. In addition, instead of it they gave in addition a small-sized contactor (KMI-10910) with some kind of regulator on it (pvl-11). I will be very grateful if you show the connection diagram of all this using the controller. And why is it used.

Hello! I connect the single-phase AIRE 80C2 motor. Everything is as it should be according to the scheme. When turned on, it can rotate both clockwise and counterclockwise. What’s wrong? Tell me please.

Both windings checked, the resistance is close to the passport? If the rotor doesn’t care where to turn, then
– faulty winding
– defective, capacitor capacitance too low,
– the whole circuit is faulty.

Thanks!
The capacitor is faulty, the wire coming out of it has broken. And the capacitor was hidden in a plastic casing, so it was not visible.

Admin:
Dmitry, can a single-phase capacitor motor not reach the set speed and warm up (idle without load) if the circuit has only a working capacitor? Without a launcher.

Whether the AIRE80 S2u3 motor can be reconnected to 380 or not

Vladimir, it’s possible, but through a 380/220 transformer. Find his data and it clearly says 220 volts!

To Vladimir:
No, the AIRE motor is single-phase.

Is it about the number of phases or voltage?

I need your advice!

We need to connect a single-phase chastotnik to a 1ph motor.

Regarding the connection of 1-f. chastotnika? All household 1-f. electric motors installed capacitors. Do you need to disconnect the capacitor when connecting an electric motor through a frequency inverter? Will a motor with a reduced frequency and a standard capacitor work correctly?

And how, without a capacitor, will the rotor know where to go? A winding with a capacitor has two functions. start-up and direction. Without this winding, the hand will have to choose a direction.
About the reduced frequency is difficult to answer.
PySy- not everyone has capacitors, it all depends on the circuit, design, purpose.

MARAT, I think. it is necessary to leave the standard capacitor. The task of the capacitor is to shift the phase and pass a certain current through itself. I cannot particularly argue, but the capacitor should cope equally with both tasks at a lower frequency. Engine power remains full-time, in theory, and full-time capacitor should be.

And how will the capacitor react to a constant change in frequency? Will the condenser not heat up or explode in this case? After all, we will use the VFD. After all, there are two-phase (i.e. single-phase with starting and working windings) winding motors which are constantly connected to the network.

1- just like a winding, its inductive resistance, which also depends on the frequency and can also be heated at a low.
2- so about them, single-phase, and it’s only if we are talking about a capacitor-free circuit, then there is the starting winding for starting, then it turns off. An example is the motors of refrigerators, some SM, etc.
Or it is necessary to talk about a specific motor, and not at all.

SAW: there are also capacitorless induction motors. I do not understand how they work, but they work the same. In my cabinets with electronic modules they stand for cooling. Power is low-75W, I disassembled the broken ones, I did not find the capacitor.
Then, even in the pumps on the SM, no capacitors are visible, and in the submersible filter pump for the aquarium.
And on the Internet I found the engine DAO 86.1.5-D48. UHL4, it is also served as a non-condenser.

There is, I wrote about this, therefore, I always write, lay out all the details and details, otherwise the conversation will be GENERAL AND NOTHING SPECIFIC. And I said that there are motors without capacitors, what should I do? A simple-specific question is a specific answer.
There are fan fans, yes, and not only single-fan fans, but there is a special winding circuit and magnetic circuit design. And there is no choice of direction, for example, and power is limited.
The pump in the aquarium from such low-power and simple.
Yes, there is in SM without capacitors, I also wrote, it remains for you to write, type, model. of interest to you. But if he is conceived to work with a bias capacitor, that should be.

Hello.
Tell me, is it possible to connect a capacitor of 70 microfarads to this AIRE 80C2 engine as a worker. , there is one in stock, but I don’t want to buy another one specially. What could be the negative in this case?

Dmitry: there will be an increased current in the winding Z1-Z2. I don’t know if it will burn out during long work, but this is clearly a negative phenomenon.

Generally undesirable, because the current in this circuit will change, which can cause overheating, etc.

two capacitor with a centrifugal release how to connect.

Does he have a full name? If there is a centrifugal release, then why capacitors?

glory:
But what is it all about. a centrifugal release?

Good afternoon, I bought the engine after rewinding the air80s2uz for the compressor, but he does not want to turn it on until it goes to 2 atm and stop on the nameplate it says slave capacitor 50 microfarads. Please tell me how much resistance is in the windings on the slave. and in the auxiliary

Surfactant!
But what to start the engine with? Here’s the capacitor and it’ll start, but the center. The trip will disconnect it just then. (After you set the desired speed)

Hello. The engine two-phase with a slave.konder 50mkf 450v. Is it possible to put a starting conder 100 MKF 300v?

Only 450 volts possible
300 little

Hello. Tell me what happened with the electric motor. The motor is a single-phase old type, when a water pump was produced, the motor has 4 outputs C1, C2, c3, c4. Two pins are connected to the network, the third is parallel to the second, the fourth through a 30 microfarad capacitor, and the relay, like on a refrigerator, is connected to the first. During operation of the drilling machine with a 3mm drill, revs fell. Turned off. Now the engine mumbles and does not start. It is not clear why there are capacitors and relays. Is it possible to throw out the relay and connect the winding through capacitors to the network.

The electric motor is similar to the electric motor aol 21-4 0.27 kW 1400 rpm in shape, size and speed

Dmitry Nikolayevich:
I suspect that the relay is thermal. And the engine is a conventional capacitor.
But you would have to sketch a connection diagram and give it to us, or at least take a picture.

No, you can’t throw it away. The engine was built specifically for operation with a capacitor, which is briefly connected with the help of RTK-X. The scheme is identical to those that were in old washers, look, there is. Stopping and growling / mooing can be for various reasons. Did you check the heating and current while mooing?

When you spin your hands, it works. When the windings ring, all 4 wires are ringing, and not two pairs as you might think. Maybe there was a breakdown ??

Perhaps such. If the ends are divorced, there should not be a connection between the windings.

how to insert a diagram here tell me.

Dmitry Nikolaevich,
It seems that you can’t insert the circuit in any way. In my message there was a link with the circuit, but it was rubbed for some reason.
I recommend creating a topic on the forum, there easily and schemes, and photos are uploaded.

Find the SM Riga-17 circuit there is RTK-X and your motor with a capacitor, and even with a reverse. L1- starting volt., L2- working. when starting, a large working current briefly closes the starting contacts. Thermal protection is also organized there.

Thanks for the help and clarification.

Please tell me if it is possible to use the air 90 engine as an alternating single-phase current generator, an internal combustion engine drive, otherwise I don’t want to install a 380/220 transistor after 3-phase air90v2 to use max power and get rid of phase imbalance during their uneven load
1 at least a theory
2 if possible, the scheme for connecting and turning on the conders
3 I do not want to mutilate the rotor with permanent magnets
4 or using windings as OS and OD and OM, wind onto a separate spool and fix on the engine cover by passing the rotor shaft inside the OB (according to the principle of G 700)

Some kind of porridge
– even if you get some kind of current from this generator, what should I do with it?
– three-phase AIR as what?
– max power of what?
– the skew creates an uneven load, tr-r will not save from it.

Vladimir:
The encoders include parallel windings.
There is a calculation on the internet, but links do not roll here. You will have to search by your own request for “Scheme for switching on an asynchronous generator (asynchronous motor) as a generator”
Without the use of a transformer, phase imbalance cannot be avoided. But since you only need one phase, then dick with them the rest. Let yourself twist.

Hello! Tell me, please, I have a pump with a single-phase capacitor motor. I purchased a 220V frequency converter. But the engine for this emergency requires a 3-phase. Is it possible to connect my engine to this emergency?

Not. Why buy an emergency before finding out the details?

Sergei,
a wild task, for the first time I hear of such a thing.
Your inverter produces 380V, and your motor is wound around 220V.
You need to somehow limit the current in the starting and working windings separately.
Roughly, two powerful resistors (for example, incandescent lamps), each of which is connected in series with its own winding.
Connect: One phase to the common end, the second to the working winding, the third to phase shifting.
Or without a common end, one phase to the working, the second to phase-shifting.
need to try. True, I’m not sure how your emergency will work without using one of the phases.
But my main question is, WHY do this? Decrease the speed of the pump so that it pumps less? Then it’s easier to drill a hole in the hose or put a faucet.
Increase the speed of the pump? This is to burn the engine, bringing it to the beyond load.

Good evening! Tell me how to connect a motor with two windings (starting and working) 4 wires. It is necessary to connect the co-45b compressor there is no native relay, is there any kind of replacement, preferably with thermal motor protection? Thanks.

This compressor is started using the RTK start-up relay used in refrigerators and some old washers. The working winding is switched on by the toggle switch on the cover, the starting one is through the aforementioned relay, it is also with a thermal fuse, overload protection.
details I can give the current of this RTK later, if it’s interesting and necessary, because they were issued at different denominations.
The compressor is not bad, I have been using it for more than a year, but there are features, I can also share it.

l good day! I have an electric motor type abt-71 115u2 in which four wires go out, everyone calls each other. Two thick wires go out and two thin wires how do I turn this thing on?

Alexander,
I suspect that it cannot be turned on in any way. They should be called in pairs.

And what kind of gearbox can I put on it?
Tell me please)

Hello! I really need your help. There is a 100 liter compressor, a single-phase induction motor 2.2 kW.50 Hz
It starts well, works too. But when it pumps up to 4 atm. The bulbs in the entire production building start to flicker strongly
The network was checked, the contacts are pulled, the voltage does not flow.
They even dragged them to the substation and connected directly and the light flickers there.
They drove to a service center, shrug.
There are two starting capacitors at 200uF and a working 40uF.
Please tell me how to solve the problem?
Does it make sense to increase the capacity of the working capacitor?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Is it possible to connect the auxiliary winding directly from the 2nd phase and disconnect the capacitor. Will it work like that? In this case, will the engine heat less, Thanks for the answers!

There is apparently no one here.
Drop the link where to go.
You are welcome!?

Alexander, most likely, is impossible. Both the winding circuit and the motor design itself are not designed for such inclusion, since regular power supply provides a different phase shift, in addition, the phase-shifting winding usually differs from the working one both in cross-section and in resistance from the working one, and you want to make it work on a par with the working one.

I asked the question myself, I myself answer: probably it’s impossible because the phase shift created by the capacitor on the secondary winding is 90 degrees and the phases in the 3-phase network have a phase angle of bias of 120 degrees.

Eugene, few details, what voltage in the network before and after the start of blinking, which wires for power, in the substation how to turn on, what voltage are there?
Drive direct, or belt, slave. compressor volume?

SAW:
this data is not important. With two kilowatts it is impossible to load a single network, unless it is on finger batteries. The author is lying, so no one wants to listen to him.

Good evening. Online 218 showed. At work 216. Measurements were made by two electricians in turn. Serving this building. The wire feeding into our room comes 4 mm.
Compressor denzel. Productivity 370 L / min
Belt drive.
The voltage was not changed at the substation.
I wrote before that there is no voltage drawdown. To lie is all the more so.

I apologize.
The voltage was not measured at the substation.
Wires were put on right after a huge knife switch. The bulb began to blink after dialing 4 atm. As in the whole building.

How do you know, he’s lying, he’s not lying, and why so soon? It is not difficult to plant a lousy network and a Kolovatt before blinking, but on the TP it was puzzling. Or TP is the same as the network, or x / z.

SAW:
And yet I do not believe in such a lousy network. But I don’t believe Eugene either- 2 Volts of difference will never cause flicker.
But if you argue:
The piston compressor and with every kilogram it is increasingly difficult for him to push. Can it happen that when reaching 4 atm the engine is “crushed” by the load? I met this when the speed fell to 1 rpm, but nonetheless the engine was squeezing.
In this case, the currents will be equal to the starting current. And this is 5-7 times and no longer 10 Amperes, but 70. Although 70 Amperes is ridiculous for such networks.
But then, jumps of 70 amperes in one phase are non-sickly surges in voltage (and current) in neighboring phases.
My working version. the problem is that the engine is single-phase and does not match the load (weak).
Although I myself do not believe in my reasoning. Two kilowatts. yes, in my kitchen there is a kettle of such power, and nichrome does not blink.)))

I do not agree. With such compressors and home-made products from GAZ-66, and from ZIL-130, and industrial ones, including Imported, dealt many times, incl. and now in the garage Etalon with a 1.5 kW motor., single-phase, like most.
A normal compressor is certainly equipped with two valves — a 1-way valve at the inlet of the receiver, and if it starts to work with an empty one, it will, with a normal network and wiring. pump until the pressure switch trips, and the normal network will tolerate this, and it does not blink, even on a long carry.
2- relief valve inside the pressure switch.
A common problem in one is the lack of pressure relief in the area from the outlet of the compressor head to the same check valve on the receiver after the motor stops and the subsequent attempt to start. Here backpressure even on such a small area and volume will prevent the motor from starting even with a residual pressure of 2.3 atm, not to mention more. Therefore, all normal compressors always have a pressure switch, to which there is still a separate tube from the tee in front of the valve. And always, in the event of a taxiway triggering after the response pressure is reached, the motor shuts off and the delicate “Pshik” of the relief valve of the very air that can interfere with start-up occurs. Everything, the cavity behind the Porsche and in the highway to arr. the valve is empty, there is no backpressure and if the taxiway permits, the motor starts without problems. This is so, the lyrics.
In essence, the problem is, I also do not believe that this 2 kW motor is capable of planting a network, especially on a TP, where everything should be in the room and the cross-section of the supply wires and the length. Therefore, structural details are interesting.

I really wanted to ask what is the difference between a motor with a starting winding and a motor with a capacitor. And there are 2 windings, but there is no starting one in the other. How to distinguish if both engines are visually similar without tags and Conder. Let me tell the engine to them Do I need to determine its type first? In the article, you said that the trains are wrong and confused, tau here I am the same electrician)

The difference in stator design and winding pattern. There is such a “Handbook of Electric Machines” in two volumes, there it is described in detail.

Hello. There is an imported single-phase capacitor motor Gast 3HBE-24-M303X with a power of 0.25 kW (goes to a medical compressor). The problem is that when switched on, the fuses blow (standard fuses brand T4AL250V). I can’t figure out what is the reason for their burning. I think that there are 2 options: interturn or one of the capacitors. There are two of them: one 36-43 mfd 220vac, the second 10 mfd 370vac. As I understand it, the first launcher, the second working. I checked them like ordinary conders with a tester, the charge is accumulated (resistance increases), then the voltage is shown. Can fuses be blown up due to a malfunction of these capacitors, or is there an unambiguous turn circuit here? Unfortunately, I still have not managed to ring the windings, so far I have not figured out the wires for the windings. Thank you in advance, I will be glad of any help.

Understand, ring, draw, otherwise there will be another fortune-telling. Yes, with interturn fuses will burn, but you would first measure this current, it’s also interesting.

I got a circular with an unknown engine. In terms of size it is 2.2 square meters per 1400ob. But rewound under single-phase. It is not clear what type of single-phase it belongs to, with a working capacitor or not. The working winding is 2.5 ohms, starting 13.5 ohms. I tried it with a working capacitor of 60 microfarads. It starts, the current from the network is 4.7 a, but 7a flows through the launcher. It seems a bit too much. When stress is relieved, it brakes quite quickly. If you start up with a capacitor, and then disconnect the starting winding. The current from the network increases to 5a, the sound of the running motor is quieter, “run-out” after removing the voltage longer. Can anyone tell me on this issue?

Have you tried without a capacitor? Perhaps the motor is wound as it was in old washers. starting / high-resistance winding with the PNVS-10 button, etc. connected only at the time of launch, then remained working. Alas, only an unknown winder will say more precisely.

Hello. I tried it starts. Something more rigid. But I did not measure the current of the starting winding, I’m afraid it would not burn out. Is it possible to choose a working capacitor for such an engine?

Hello.
Dismantled the washing machine (working, just because of frequent problems decided to get rid of).
The WMR094E6 90W 1.1A 8.5mFd engine from the general heap of wires tried to find a "pattern" in the connection (it was guided by the colors of the wires and plugs, because they are all individual and you will not mix them up). So, I isolated from this whole bunch of wires and plugs exactly what relates directly to the motor and capacitor. I tried to “sum up” and rang the conclusions: all three outputs from the engine are ringing together (resistance did not measure, because there is no device).
Question: Did I understand correctly that in this case I need to connect one of the wires from the Conder (yellow or red) and blue to 220?
Thank you in advance for your reply and the time I have been given.

We understood correctly, only you can’t do without a tester and measuring resistance, you must know where the worker is, where is the start-shift winding.

Please tell me how you can connect the engine without a control unit?
