The commissioning process of the gas mowers, whether you bought it now or got it after winter storage, the rules listed below will allow you to avoid major errors that can damage the tool.
Suppose you just bought a petrol trimmer. Remove the instructions from the box and see if all the parts of the trimmer that are indicated are available. After that, you can proceed to the assembly.
Fuel mixture preparation and refueling.
For ease of preparation of the fuel mixture is better to have a special canister, where in one part contains gasoline and the other 2-stroke oil. We recommend getting similar. It is very convenient to use.
Next, take a measuring container, with a scale applied to it, with its help, you will be able to prepare the mixture as accurately and quickly as possible. Look in the manual which brand of gasoline and 2-stroke oil recommended by the manufacturer of your model of gasoline mowers. Fill the gasoline and oil in the tank for the preparation of the fuel mixture, according to the proportions indicated in the instructions. Then gently pour the mixture into the trimmer’s fuel tank through a funnel. The ratio of gasoline and oil should be exactly as indicated in the instructions. It is an essential point!
Running gasoline mowers with a cold engine.
For the first start of the mowing machine, find the air flap lever and put it in the “closed” position. Turn on the ignition on the handle. If there is a hand fuel pump on your model, people call it a suction, then press it 3-5 times until you see the fuel mixture inside the primer. Now the tool is ready to run. Lay the trimmer on a flat surface to ensure a stable position. Pull the starter rope gently until you feel resistance, and then pull the cord towards yourself 3-5 times with a sharp movement.
If the engine starts up after five jerks, then open the choke. If this does not happen, still open the air damper (with an open damper and continued attempts to start the engine, the fuel will flood the candle, and you will have to dry it, and this is a waste of time).
If the engine does not start, with the damper open, then close it, continue to pull the cord. The first launch can be quite difficult and require up to 15 jerks. After the engine has started to work, press once on the throttle lever, so you engage idling. Now let the engine work and warm up. After that, it can be stopped by pressing the “Stop” button.
Running a warm engine.
It is straightforward. Turn the power switch to the working position and pull the cord to start. If you do everything according to the instructions, then problems with launching a serviceable gas cutter should not arise.
Major startup errors.
