Yard Force Review – OPE Edition

Over the last couple of years, we have seen a huge leap forward in battery technology. No longer do we have to rely on gas-powered OPE (Outdoor Power Equipment) products. We don’t have to listen to loud motors, bad smelling fumes or deal with the hassles of bad gas. Battery technology has changed it all. We now have quieter machines that are still powerful, but we don’t have to deal with the cons to gas. So without wasting any time let’s jump into the Yard Force Review.

Yard Force Review Overview

Yard Force might not be a name you are familiar with as it’s not a mainstream name. Over the past couple of years, we have not only tested a variety of products from them but have had a chance to learn about them and the company.

While we have tested their pressure washer, we now move into their OPE products. So when we found out we were going to be able to test out their mower, blower and string trimmer, we jumped at the chance.

The Yard Force OPE tools run off their 120 RX Lithium-Ion battery. This provides plenty of power and run time for these heavy applications.

The first thing we noticed about this mower is the quality. We have tested a lot of battery powered mowers over the years and can tell you first hand that there isn’t a lot on the market that screams quality. The Yard Force is a mower that seems to be designed with quality in mind.

Yard Force designed this around a brushless mower and a steel deck which means the motor is efficient and the deck will last for years. In fact, Yard Force offers a 5-year warranty with this mower.

You will get about 100 minutes of run time per charge. Again, it depends upon how thick of grass you are mowing. One item we noticed was that when you get into thick grass, the motor will kick up to produce more power so you can cut thick, tall grass.

The mower holds two batteries and will work off a single battery. So if you are charging a battery, the mower will keep working. If you discharge a battery while mowing, it will automatically switch over to the other battery.

The mower is self-propelled. Just pull up on the back lever and you no longer have to push the mower around. Just walk behind it and guide it in any direction.

You can adjust the speed of the mower with a lever located on the left handle. Word of warning, the fast mode is cruising, so make sure you want to walk at a fast pace.

The mower is a 3 in 1 mower where you can bag, mulch or side discharge. Even the bag is well thought out and extremely nice. Speaking of bagging this is the most grass I have ever seen pushed into a bag.

To turn the mower on, just press and hold the power button. Once it turns green, you can press the orange button and pull back on the handle. There is a delay in startup but that is with every battery-powered mower we have used and tested.

I love the large handle to adjust the height. A single lever adjusts all four wheels. Very smooth and easy to use.

Yard Force Review Blower

As with the mower, Yard Force offers a 5-year warranty on the blower. This is also built with a brushless motor and produces 540 CFM and 140 MPH. You can expect to get about 40 minutes of run time with this blower on low.

The blower comes with a shoulder strap and two different types of nozzles.

Press and hold the power button to turn on and off the blower. Once the unit is on, you can use the push button to adjust speeds of the blower. You can change speed without having to remove your finger from the trigger.

To activate the blower, you can use the finger trigger.

The intake is below and on the back of the blower which is nice. This means it will not be sucking in your shorts while taking in air.

Yard Force Review String Trimmer

As with the mower and blower, Yard Force also included a 5-year warranty on the string trimmer for peace of mind. The string trimmer also features a brushless motor for efficiency and longer run times. You will get about 60 minutes of run time per charge.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most powerful battery operated string trimmers we have used or tested. Talk about power, this has it.

The string Trimmer has an 18″ cutting swath and uses a.095″ line.

Once the power is on, you have to depress the small orange safety button and pull the trigger to start the trimmer.

To turn on and off the trimmer, just press and hold the power button. You can adjust the speeds using the right push button. You can set it to three different speeds.

Yard Force Review Value

You can pick up this mower on Amazon for about 800 which isn’t too bad for this type of mower. You get two batteries, a steel deck which will last for years and a self-propelled mower. Think about it, no more dealing with mad gas, loud motors or all the other bad stuff with gas mowers.

You can pick up the blower for about 350 from Amazon. Again, not a bad price considering you get a battery with the blower. You will get about 40 minutes of run time on low and it only takes 30 minutes to charge.

The string trimmer also runs for about 350 on Amazon. This is one of the most powerful battery operated string trimmers we have tested. So if you have areas that are thick and you need the power, this is the one to have.

Yard Force Review Final Thoughts

Some might feel this system is expensive to get into but considering the power and the quality, it’s a fair price for this system. While I would like to see a plastic deck, most people still love the steel deck. Considering it is self-propelled, weight isn’t a huge issue since you just have to sit back and walk behind it. While the blower didn’t blow us away, we love the fact you get two types of nozzles and can easily adjust the speed. On the other hand, the string trimmer is one of the most powerful units we have tested in this category. If you are looking to get into a battery-powered OPE platform, the Yard Force is a good one to look at and consider.

In a crowed cordless OPE market, Yard Force has designed some nice solutions to get rid of that gas OPE equipment in your shed. Powerful and well built.

Yard Force Reviews

Yard Force should offer a UK phone line for aftersales support. I want to buy a replacement bolt for one of the cutter blades. it sheared off when the mower hit a wooden plank. I can buy replacement blades, but not bolts. I have put in an email complaint to the supplier and have been given a ticket on an Austrian web site but they have not replied.

Gr8 mower, st service

Mower has been great. However, had an issue as it stopped working, went onto Yardforce website, ‘live chat’ timed out so I emailed, got a reply saying they have sent up a ticket number for my problem. Had no update so logged on to view ticket, and it now says ticket number not recognised. With no phone number to contact them, I am now at a loss as to what to do. A shame, as love the product but hate the customer service.

Purchased a Yardforce NX100i and…

Purchased a Yardforce NX100i and everything installed by the book could not get the network configuration completed. The customer service rep. could not help with the app or the unit admitting that they did not have knowledge of the product. Asking for someone else he said he was the only person there in that dept. and would have someone call me. That never happened, stay away from their products, if they want to sell expensive units then they should provide top drawer service.

Unable to get through to any customer…

Unable to get through to any customer service. I purchased a 300RBS last May and applied for 21 warranty. Before 12 months was up, my mower has failed to charge and the control panel fails to accept any input. Tried to get through to Yardforce to find out what the problem could be but no response. Never had this issue with Worx Landroid, they responded immediately and returned my mower within days full repaired. Buy Worx not Yardforce this is my message.

Replied to Yardforces message and put a ticket again to core services only to find after about 8hrs the ticket was wiped from the server. My opinion stands Yardforce does not honor its warranty and is definatly not a business that you can trust no matter what others say on Trustpilot.

Battery woes !

Bought a cordless Yardforce 3 years ago. The battery won’t clip down properly into the housing anymore. Do you think I can find a number to speak to somebody or an email ?- no, The one supplied takes you to a German site !- So a new battery ( if it is the problem) is £60 plus. think i’ll just go with a new brand from a company that actually bothers to look after you.Update. suddenly Yardforce want to speak to me. too late ! as I have bought a flymo which is half the weight and cuts through wet grass without clogging up !

Don’t touch with a barge pole!!

Ordered a yard force strimmer, thought the order hadn’t gone through so did it again Tried cancelling 9am Monday morning but 2 were sent. Managed to contact Sumak to return faulty item but I need the duplicate delivery collected and refunded! No contact numbers at all, can’t speak to a human my elderly parents ordered these and are now outstanding over £400. NOT good enough Avoid company at all costs!! Would have given 0 stars if I could!!

We have had one credit of £217.89 for invoice number 34072.

Still outstanding £340.72 for invoice number 34071. Goods collected 23.6.23 and a month on still has not been credited. Original order was April 2023.

The rear wheel drive went out

The rear wheel drive went out, pulley in back on the gearbox broke up in pieces, owned it for about 2 years, bought it new, I can’t get parts to fix it, I have never tried to contact the company. I have noticed the mower has a lot of plastic parts, I guess you get what you pay for. Overall, I like the mower but just cannot find a replacement gearbox.

I have been chasing a refund for my order above for over a week. and have been waiting weeks for it to be resolved now. A faulty EW N15X. Water Cooled High Pressure Washer was sent to me and i’ve returned it via DPD collection arranged by them on the 13th april 2023. Service Great Robotic 400ri excellent

HiI am an owner of a YardForce 400ri robotic and LM G34A cordless mower. Frankly I am surprised at the negative Комментарии и мнения владельцев on here! The 400ri has been faultless and is now in its 3rd season, still very impressed with its performance.

I have had problems with the LMG34A but Coreservice who handle YardForce problems and they have been quick to respond to my emails. The problem I have had is battery failures but they have now replaced the battery 3 times so fingers crossed this one lasts? Very strange to have so many faults with the cordless but non with the robotic in fact I wish I had bought 2 robotics and not the cordless! But the service has been great.

Yard Force Customer Service

Having purchased a Yard Force Compact 300RBS back in April 2022, I have since had 2 major failures with the Robotic Lawnmower. The first was a complete battery failure and the second is a Bluetooth module failure. The customer service (Hugo) and overall handling of issues is appalling. I’m now 3 months into having raised a support ticket, with no attempt at resolution. Only fob-off responses received we’ll get back to youAvoid!

Appalling service from Yard Force CoreService

Appalling service from Yard Force and their UK distributor CoreService. I bought the LMT-46 battery-operated mower from them in Nov 2020 (still within its 3 year warranty) and immediately had issues with the battery run-time, which was way less than advertised. It turns out the mower was soon after discontinued, as were the batteries, even though they repeatedly palmed me off saying they’d be back in stock soon. They never were, and the next-generation batteries are not compatible with my mower. So they knowingly sold me an end-of-line mower, with no possibility of replacement batteries, which I believe is unlawful. Having pointed this out to their support team, they say they cannot help. I’m beginning to think Yard Force and CoreService is a scam outfit. They hide behind unhelpful emails and no-one relevant is reachable by phone. I can’t be the first person to have this problem. surely any reputable company would have an exchange policy in place for defunct products? My advice is DO NOT purchase anything from this company.
