Lawn care leaf removal. LAWN CARE SERVICE

Leaf Removal

There is no doubt about it, autumn leaves are beautiful to look at. But after their beauty has waned and the leaves start to fall, the time of year most homeowners dread has arrived. It’s time for leaf removal, brush removal, and leaf cleanup. Removing leaves and dealing with leaf collection and local leaf removal is a tiresome process, not to mention if you have to deal with leaf bags!

Our FOCUS is also on brush removal. To have a healthy and happy lawn, you’ll want to make sure that both leaves and brush are removed, letting your grass and flower beds breathe and get the sunshine they need to thrive.

Raking leaves is a task no one looks forward to, which is why you should consider a trustworthy lawn care services company to do the heavy lifting for you. We all know that raking leaves can be backbreaking work, with repetitive motions that easily strain muscles that aren’t used to the bending, turning, and twisting that raking leaves require.

These are some of the many reasons you should consider leaving your leaf removal to Central Liberty.

Increased efficiency

You very well may want to tackle the job on your own, grabbing your rake and leaf bags. Landscaping companies, however, have the manpower and equipment available that will make a big job easy to accomplish. They have leaf blowers, vacuums, and mulching mowers that remove leaves quickly and efficiently.

By bringing in a crew of landscape professionals, Central Liberty will clean up your yard in far less time than you’d be able to if you were raking leaves on your own. Especially if you have a large yard, a task that could take you an entire weekend or more could be handled much quicker. A job that you might be putting off because of the time and effort required could be taken care of by our professionals in a flash.

Healthy lawn care

Another important consideration is that by having a team of experts handle your leaf removal, you are also ensuring the health of your lawn. If the leaves pile up into massive clumps on your lawn, they can smother the grass beneath. Wet leaves can cause mold to develop, potentially causing health problems for people and pets.

lawn, care, leaf, removal

Our experts know how to handle green waste like leaves, branches, and clean up leaves to ensure the health of your trees and shrubs. The more leaves pile up and the longer they clump on the ground, the more damage you could be doing to your yard.

Convenience

In the end, the most important reason to have a lawn care services company take care of your leaf removal is simple – you don’t have to rake leaves yourself! No need to get the blisters, callouses, and back pain that hours of raking leaves can cause. Whether you have a small lawn or a large yard, the physical burden of leaf and brush removal can quickly add up.

Why not have a team of seasoned professionals, skilled individuals who can take care of it for you quickly and efficiently.

WHY SHOULD I HAVE LEAVES REMOVED?

During the fall and winter, fallen leaves can cover your yard which can be a big problem for grass and other plants. The sticks and leaves can cover the grass and block the sunlight that it needs to grow. They can also suffocate grass and other plants, leaving your lawn barren and dull. Piles of leaves on your landscaping can leave your yard looking messy and unkempt. Wet leaves on driveways and sidewalks are also a slip hazard and should be removed to keep you and your guests safe.

Leaves and other debris can also provide places for insects and rodents to live. These pests can carry diseases and cause damage to your home and property. Keeping your yard free and clear can help prevent these pests from making themselves at home on your property, keeping your family safe and preventing damage to your home.

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE LEAF REMOVAL SERVICE?

Leaf removal can be done alongside your regularly-scheduled lawn maintenance or as a standalone job. Although most leaf removal occurs during the fall and winter months, some properties require year-round leaf pickup because of the types of trees on the property. Cleanup after storms is another time when leaf removal may be necessary. Lemonade Lawn Care provides leaf removal services during all seasons so that your yard can stay neat and tidy all the time.

WHERE DO THE LEAVES GO?

Leave the leaf disposal to the experts. Lemonade Lawn Care will pick up and haul away all leaves and other small debris from your yard as part of the service. The leaves will be brought to a landfill or composting facility at no additional cost so that you are left with a pristine and clear yard.

HOW MUCH DOES LEAF REMOVAL COST?

Commonly Found Trees in Our Area That Are Major Sources of Leaf Litter

Did you know that a mature oak tree can shed from 200,000 to half a million leaves each season? In our part of Kentucky, we have plenty of gorgeous trees. Each tree needs to shed to prepare for fresh, healthy growth. Unfortunately, that causes piles of debris and leaves to accumulate.

Bradford Pears and Red Maples are just a couple of the trees commonly found in our part of Kentucky. These trees are major sources of leaf litter as they lose leaves, which come down to suffocate your ornamental bushes, shrubs, flowers, and grass. We’re here to help keep the problem at bay!

Consequences of Leaves Piling up on Your Lawn

Once leaves pile up, they can choke out your plant life. Leaving them piled up across your yard prevents nutrients from being properly absorbed by their root systems. Removing leaves also benefits grass and plants by allowing the absorption of light, air, and water.

Once roots become unhealthy, grass and plants can become discolored and die. Without enough exposure to air and light, the blades of the grass cannot complete photosynthesis. As a consequence, you may be forced to start from scratch with new grass seed or sod. Bring in our professionals to prevent leaves from damaging and taking over your property! We typically service yards starting in late October through December.

Without proper ventilation, the soil beneath your grass and plants can retain too much moisture, causing root rot.

How We Clear Leaves from Your Yard

As part of our leaf removal service, our team will use power blowers to clear yards and landscape beds of leaves. The dead leaves are then cleared from your yard and sucked into our vacuum truck. This method prevents the pileup of leaf bags on your curbside and provides an immediately visible result.

Another option is to chop up and mulch leaves with a mower. Some leaf debris will eventually decompose and provide additional nutrients to your lawn. We will also provide curbside service for leaf bags rather than using our vacuum truck. However, this is not a commonly requested service for us, as the communities in our area already collect them.

What’s included with the Leaf Removal Service?

Our industry-leading flat-rate leaf removal service covers removal and responsible disposal of leaves. Should you need services other than removing leaves, such as trimming of shrubs, trees, removing overgrown vines, hand weeding of plant beds, uprooting of dead plants and replanting of new ones, lawn mowing, edging, and blow cleaning services, ask for our full yard cleanup service.

When should I get a leaf removal service?

Our leaf removal service works best when scheduled days before occasions, events, holidays, start of the year, or just anytime when you just have a lot of leaves to pick up and need cleaning up.

How often should I get a leaf removal service?

If you have lots of deciduous trees and want a pristine looking yard, we recommend to have us come service and remove your leaves at least once a month. For those who just want to maintain the yard, we found that in South Austin once every season works just fine.

How much does a typical leaf removal service cost?

The cost of our leaf removal service in Austin, Texas to the homeowner depends solely on the yard size. We do not estimate how much leaves you have in your yard. We also do not charge by the hour to remove leaves. Our flat-rate price for leaf removal service covers all the leaves within your yard. In South Austin, around the Southpark Meadows area, near Onion Creek, for example, we found that the average cost to the homeowner for a leaf removal service is on average between 175.93 to 186.05 for yard sizes between 4,000 to 7,000 square feet. For South Central Austin, where the average yard size ranges somewhere around 9,000 to 13,000 square feet, you can expect to pay around 199.99-241.74 for a leaf removal service.

What happens to the leaves you remove?

This fresh organic compost is then used for newly planted grass, seeds, plants, or simply added back into our actively aerated compost tea batch.

The Importance of Leaf Removal Service in Austin

Many different types of deciduous trees exist in Austin, Texas. Most of these deciduous trees are native species, others are invasive, and some are exotics. This plethora of deciduous tree species can have different reactions in our changing climate. In Austin, fall and spring weather conditions have become unpredictable. Weather conditions range from bright and sunny summer-like conditions one day to snowpocalyptic below-freezing conditions the next day. The many different types of deciduous trees have different coping mechanisms that can prolong the shedding of leaves. Nowadays, it is no longer uncommon to be raking and mowing at the same time.

Deciduous trees can often be observed shedding leaves extending over several months. This can bury lawns under inches of leaves for weeks on end. While this thick layer of leaves can sometimes be coveted for saving many lawns during very hot and dry summer months, it can become more than just an aesthetic issue during the cooler and wet months. The reality is that the thick layers of leaves can cause serious harm not only to your lawn but also to your family.

Let us explain in detail. We are not trying to alarm you, for this news is actually already quite alarming. For one, the thick layer of leaves functions like a mulch layer by retaining moisture and lessening ground sunlight exposure. As mentioned earlier, this is great if retaining moisture is our intention; but, in the cooler and wet months, the ground will already be very wet and very moist. Having the thick layer of leaves to act like mulch will only make the ground soaking wet and eventually cause an anaerobic soil condition. That is to say the grass has trouble getting all of the aerobic water, nutrients, and air that it needs for optimal growth.

Secondly, the anaerobic soil condition also creates a booming ecosystem of algal blooms that can cause brown patch if the grass is still alive. In the event the grass has died, the anaerobic soil condition will then incidentally attract grubs, cockroaches, spiders, scorpions, rodents, and snakes. We have seen pit vipers hiding in holes it had dug covered with leaves. When leaves are neglected, you are exposing your family to unnecessary harm. You will be surprised as to how often we encounter snakes when removing leaves. This is the truth. In fact, indigenous tribes are known to clear the immediate vicinity around a prospective settlement first before moving in. Removing and clearing leaves has therefore been a very important part of our culture and way of life since time immemorial. It is a yearly tradition that has been passed down from one generation to the next. And like most traditions, we just do not openly talk about it. We simply carry the torch and continue on with the tradition of removing leaves. As of this moment, we are the ones carrying that torch, keeping the flame alive.
