In situations where there is no possibility to use the original, it can be replaced by the car engine oil. Cheap automobile oils such as motor oil or diesel variants of grease, due to the reduced adhesive properties, are unsuitable for long-term use.
Some owners, despite the recommendations still use analogues, preferring more often to change the tire and chain, but here everyone decides for himself. This oil cannot have any adverse effects on the lubricating system and therefore only serves to protect the tire from the chain’s friction.
Choice of engine oil
Oil intended for the 2-stroke engine must meet the following requirements.
- The grease must form a minimum of ash when burned. Ideally, it should burn completely.
- The lubricant should have good solubility in petrol and high levels of purity from impurities that could block the very narrow carburettor ports.
- The oil must have high anti-corrosion, anti-wear, and lubricating properties.
There are certain standards of oils, designed for 2-stroke engines: TC-W3 and 2T. Gasoline for chainsaw
