How to replace a high-voltage wire on a chainsaw

Design and principle of operation of the ignition system of a domestic chainsaw

Every saw with a gasoline engine is equipped with an ignition system. The main function of this assembly is to ignite the fuel inside the cylinder at the right time. For this purpose, the chainsaw ignition system creates an electric discharge, which pierces the space between the electrodes of the regular candles. The chainsaw depends largely on the correctness and efficiency of its engine. That’s why special attention needs to be paid to checking this important part of the tool.

The electronic ignition of the utility chainsaw as standard consists of a number of the following parts:

Magneto is a separate type of alternator that works with alternating current. It creates electrical energy when the engine is running, and directs it to the chain saw’s spark plug. The magneto unit includes a coil of inductance, on which a fixed winding is wound. Also included in the construction of the element is a permanent magnet, which is attached to the flywheel. When the chainsaw is running, the flywheel turns simultaneously with the engine crankshaft.

At the right moment, a certain regular part of the device unwinds the available contacts. This leads to a sharp increase in voltage and a spark burst between the electrodes of the factory spark plug.

This increases the risk of overheating the contacts. To exclude this, as well as oxidation of the wiring, the electrical circuit of the standard ignition system is equipped with a capacitor.

The ignition circuit of a chainsaw equipped with a non-contact base magneto is based on the action of the control coil. It acts as a voltage flow regulator. The electronic assembly of such an ignition system is completed by a capacitor, a diode and a thyristor. The latter is needed to pass current with certain voltage parameters. During the opening of the thyristor, the capacitor begins to discharge, thereby creating current within the turns of the basic primary winding.

The current is then converted to a high voltage DC, which creates a breakdown in the standard spark plug located in the cylinder. The chainsaw’s standard electric circuit operates on the principle of impulse simultaneously with the forward cyclic motion of the engine cylinder and the rotation of the crankshaft.

How to adjust the ignition on a chainsaw?

Adjust the gap between the flywheel and the ignition coil on the chainsaw is required in the event that the tool does not start. Immediately before adjustment you need to check the condition of the spark plug. This will require removing the wires from the head and carefully unscrew the part from the socket with a special wrench. If the spark plug is not wet, and on its ceramic walls you can see small light spots of oil, then you need to proceed to the next stage of testing.

To do this, you will need to put a cap on the plug with the original wiring and several times sharply pull the starter rope. If the spark still does not appear, then you should proceed to the adjustment of the gap between the flywheel and the magneto.

A disturbance in the clearance between these parts of the chainsaw can cause careless handling of the tool. As standard, the distance between the magneto and the flywheel should be no more than 0.2 mm. Checking this value is simple enough. To do this, it will be necessary to place a special gasket between the elements. If it goes freely into the space between the elements, then the gap is set correctly.

Many craftsmen argue that it is possible to properly adjust the ignition on the chainsaw only with the help of a template. However, not every tool owner can afford to buy a disposable product at a fairly high price. Many gardeners use homemade templates in the form of strips cut from a flat plastic juice jar.

Further adjustment of the chainsaw ignition is done in this order:

  • First you need to loosen the bolts fixing the system;
  • After that, the template should be inserted between the regular ignition coil and the built-in flywheel;
  • At the end of the adjustment screws need to be tightened.

How to easily assemble a spark plug cap on a trimmer or chainsaw.

How to quickly and easily put the spring and pull the candle cap on the ignition lead of a grass trimmer or chainsaw. People often do not understand how to do it and begin to invent, the spring will tie a twist, the rubber cap along the length of the cut. It’s much easier to do. Take the heat shrink (if you have it). put it on the armature wire. We pierce the armature wire with the spring, like on the video. Warm the heat shrink. Next, we put the rubber cap on the spring with a small screwdriver. For more details and step by step look at the video.

Changing the ignition coil on the Chinese chain saw.

We’re sawing and suddenly the chain saw stalls. Taking the key to unscrew the plug, and the cap came off. The reason is clear, the cap spring has popped off the coil armor wire. It often happens that when replacing the spark plug, the spring is pulled and the armature wire remains in the cap of the grass trimmer. That’s the problem. At first glance there’s nothing to do, just put it on and go on working. But faced with this problem, we understand that not everything is as simple as it seemed at first glance. In this Video Maxim will show how to quickly assemble a chainsaw candle mouthpiece. We’ll start from the beginning. In order for the spring, and this is the main part of the candle holder not to slip off. It is necessary to bend two or one of the hooks of the spring inwards. Then the connection is really good. And the ends of the springs won’t come out of the high-voltage wire by themselves. When you put the spring on the armature of the chainsaw coil. Push the armature wire with the spring inside the smaller hole in the cap until it stops. In the larger hole of the cap should show a spring. Put it on the spark plug as far as it goes. At the end you need to put some pressure on the spark plug to make sure the spring is fully seated on the spark plug. Good day to all. Subscribe and watch the new video.

Required skills and tools for repair

Most chain saw faults can be repaired with your own hands. True, this requires an understanding of the chainsaw device and how the nodes function between each other. As far as tools are concerned, more often than not what is needed:

Constructive Components

All gasoline two-stroke engines have a similar principle of operation, and therefore the ignition system in them has a typical structure and device.

Chainsaw ignition device:

  • Magneto: a device that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy, provides an impulse of current to the chainsaw’s spark plug;
  • Spark plug: designed to ignite the fuel/air mixture, through the discharge that occurs between the electrodes;
  • Electric cable;
  • Engine cutoff button.

Spark, arc, glow and catalytic spark plugs. The chainsaw is equipped with spark plugs for 2-stroke engines. A schematic diagram of the chainsaw ignition is shown in the image.

How to set the ignition on a chainsaw?

Adjusting the clearance between the handwheel and the ignition coil on a chainsaw is required when the tool won’t start. Immediately before the adjustment you need to check the condition of the plug. To do this, you will need to remove the wires from the head and carefully unscrew the part from the socket with a special wrench. If the spark plug is not wet, and on its ceramic walls you can see small light spots of oil, then you need to proceed to the next stage of testing.

To do this, you need to put a cap on the plug with the original wiring and pull the starter rope a few times sharply. If you still do not get a spark, then you should proceed to the adjustment of the gap between the flywheel and magneto.

If the gap between these two parts of the chain saw is not correct, it can be a sign that the tool is being handled carelessly. As standard, the distance between the magneto and the flywheel should be no more than 0.2 mm. To check this value is quite simple. For this purpose it is necessary to place a special gasket between the elements. If it enters freely into the space between the elements, it means that the gap is set correctly.

Many craftsmen argue that it is possible to properly adjust the ignition on the chainsaw only with the help of a template. However, not every tool owner can afford to buy a disposable product at a fairly high price. Many gardeners use homemade templates in the form of strips cut from a flat plastic juice jar.

Further adjustment of the chainsaw ignition is performed in this order:

  • First you need to loosen the bolts fixing the system;
  • After that, between the standard ignition coil and the built-in flywheel should be inserted a template;
  • At the end of the adjustment bolts will need to be tightened.

How to check a chainsaw ignition coil?

Often the cause of the failure of the tool used is not only the wrong gap between the existing standard flywheel and the standard coil, but the failure of the latter. In this case, you will need to carefully check the coil.

  • Inspect the condition of the coil body and make sure it is free of cracks and other defects;
  • check the cleanliness of the elements of the coil and the electrical wiring connected to it;
  • inspect the condition of the insulation of the wires;
  • assess the reliability of the fasteners;
  • Inspect the condition of the cap, which forms the spark;
  • check the condition of the spark plugs;
  • Check the functionality of the spark plug switch;
  • Use a multimeter to check the voltage inside the assembly.

To accurately determine the failure of the coil, you will need to use additional devices. an ammeter and voltmeter. At the same time it is necessary to remove all foreign objects from the source of spark formation.

Check the coil in the following order:

  • First you need to measure the resistance that creates the magneto. This method is used if the owner of the chainsaw knows the optimal parameters. When forming the necessary pulse it is required to separate the indicators formed by different semiconductor elements. In this case the trouble is indicated by means of testing the circuit through the minus and high-voltage wire. As a result, the meter shows an over-resistance or an open circuit;
  • Then it is necessary to use a device, which will give the opportunity to check the work of the plug and the presence of the spark. It will need to be connected at the point where the circuit is broken between the spark plugs and the high-voltage wire. The disadvantage of this method is that the device required for testing is quite expensive.

Another way to check the coil does not require the use of expensive devices. It is only used when the chainsaw owner has no other options for diagnosing the ignition system. When checking the spark plug, you need to remove the cap and put a small nail in it. The cap should then be put on the spark plug so that the distance between the nail and the cylinder is about 6-7 cm. After that the saw should be started and the spark should be checked. If the coil is serviceable, the spark will be a bright blue. Other shades of spark will indicate a faulty magneto.

Coil repair should be done in a dry clean place. Do not let dust, oil or other liquids get on the machine parts. Otherwise, there will be a risk of a short circuit, which will lead to a complex breakdown of the assembly of the tool.

Ignition malfunctions

Most often we think about repair after the chainsaw has stopped starting, or there are visual signs of serious damage.

Signs of ignition failure:

  • The chainsaw starts, but it runs unevenly (trots), often sneezes and shoots;
  • The power of the chainsaw has noticeably dropped;
  • When you suddenly press the gas pedal, there is a sagging of the engine;
  • Chainsaw fails to start when cold, throws up heavily until warmed up;
  • Significantly increased fuel consumption;

If your chainsaw is malfunctioning, it’s time to diagnose, adjust, or possibly repair the ignition system.

Determine fault location:

First of all, it is necessary to inspect the plug, if or on it accumulated a lot of carbon deposits, then the cause of failure is most likely related to the work of the carburetor, piston group or fuel quality. If visually the spark plug looks serviceable, it’s not plugged up and it’s dry. make sure there’s a spark.

  • Unscrew the spark plug, put the ignition cable on it;
  • Using insulated pliers, press the threads of the spark plug against the motor housing;
  • Pull the starter grip sharply and check for a spark;

If there is no spark, replace the spark plug with a new one and test again. After making sure the spark is present, start the engine. But what to do if there is no spark even on a serviceable spark plug? Continue the search:

  • Test the electrical cable for breakage and insufficient contact with the spark plug. Check the proper operation of the spring in the cap of the candle and the contact with the armature cable;

The best way to check the functionality of the wiring is to use a tester.

You can set the right gap with the feeler gauge, they are not in short supply and are available for a small fee.

Troubleshooting with a multimeter

To determine the fault of the ignition coil you can also use the so-called hardware method. However, for this you must have a multimeter, with which you carry out the diagnosis.

Step by step ignition diagnostics with a multimeter:

  • Turn the multimeter to the position where the arrow is at the 200 ohm mark.
  • Study the chainsaw manual. Find the optimum resistance for the coil winding installed on our model (in most modern chainsaws, this figure ranges from 3-5 ohms).);
  • Connect a multimeter to the primary winding of the coil and measure the resistance, if it is normal. continue testing;
  • Connect a multimeter to the secondary winding of the coil, compare the readings with those specified in the manual;
  • Connect the multimeter to the hole in the coil where the wire is inserted. If the device gives out normal readings, we conclude that the coil is in order. If the measurement results are far from optimal, it will be necessary to replace the unit (coil) with a new one;

Step by step adjustment of chainsaw ignition:

  • Diagnose the fault;
  • Remove the protective cover;
  • Remove the module with the candle holder and electric cable. Carry out a visual inspection, if necessary replace it with a new one;
  • Install the ignition module, but do not tighten the mounting screws all the way;

Identify the area on the flywheel with a magnet;

Important: While repairing the chainsaw ignition, special attention should be paid to setting the correct gap between the module and the handwheel.

Also check to see if the flywheel is clinging to the module with the counterweight. If this happens, you may have a failed bearing or backlash on the shaft.

How to set the ignition on the chainsaw

Periodic adjustment of the chainsaw’s ignition must be performed. This action involves setting the correct spark plug gap between the coil and the flywheel. This parameter depends on the chainsaw model. It is specified in the instruction manual. The average value is the parameter 0.2-0.4 mm. Having the right gap is important so that the spark appears at the right moment, t. е. not earlier and not much later than the fuel supply.

Adjust the ignition on the chainsaw will help special templates, but it is not always advisable to buy them for one-time use. Therefore, you can replace them with a homemade. To make it, you need to cut a strip from a plastic bottle. The part of the tare where there is no embossing is suitable. After that, you can set the ignition, acting in the following sequence:

  • Unscrew the ignition bolts a little to loosen.
  • Magnets that are located on the flywheel, lead to the ignition coil.
  • Clamp the plastic plate between the flywheel and coil, and then re-tighten the bolts.
  • Remove the band.
  • Turn the handwheel all the way round several times in a row, making sure that it does not catch on anything.

If the diagnostics revealed any faults in the coil and it was not possible to tune it, then the part should be replaced, as repairs are not feasible.

Operation, maintenance and repair

To ensure that the saw operates smoothly, it must be tuned periodically. The instruction manual attached to the equipment describes the peculiarities of tuning the model. Improper adjustment will result in unbalanced operation of the assemblies.

How to adjust the carburetor

Failures occur when not enough or too much fuel is supplied, and if the proportions are disturbed in mixing the fuel with the air.

Adjustment of the carburetor is performed as follows:

  • The fuel adjusting screw is turned first up to the stop and then back (counter-clockwise) by 1.5-2 turns.
  • Start the engine, warm it up for 1-2 minutes and turn the screw T in this or that direction to get it to work steadily at maximum rpm. The chain should not move over the busbar when idling.
  • Check and, if necessary, seal carburetor-cylinder connection.

It is easier to adjust the carburetor, using a tachometer, but at home the work of the engine in most cases is adjusted by ear. When both quantitative and qualitative fuel supply are normal, the engine does not overheat, does not bog down, runs smoothly, without any harsh sounds. When adjusting, turn the screws slowly, without jerks.

How to adjust ignition

Stable engine operation is ensured by properly adjusted ignition. the Druzhba 4 chainsaw will then consume a minimum amount of fuel. The saw is ignited by a magneto with a spark plug and a special wire.

To trace the quality of the spark to ignite the chainsaw, the spark plug is placed on the cylinder housing and yank the starter. If the spark plug is in working order, there will be a spark between the electrodes. Weak spark will not cause fuel ignition, such a spark plug must be replaced.

replace, high-voltage, wire, chainsaw

It is better to replace the contact ignition of a chainsaw with an electronic one. This will save you the trouble of controlling the fuel tank all the time. It is necessary to make sure that the screws fixing the ignition coil do not loosen.

Main malfunctions and troubleshooting

If you know why the tool fails, you can repair it yourself at home.

When the Druzhba 4 chainsaw engine starts and stalls, the reasons may be:

  • Not enough fuel in the gas tank. Fill up the mixture according to the instructions supplied with the tool.
  • The spark plug is splashed with fuel. It does not allow the spark to form. Remove the spark plug, dry it, light it on a gas torch.
  • Bad contact between plugs and wire. It occurs due to an increased gap (more than 0.5 mm) between the tip of the spark plug and the wire. The plugs need to be cleaned from soot with a wire brush, blowing with air. Change them periodically.

If the engine malfunctions at idle rpm, the repair of the Druzhba 4 chain saw comes down to the following:

  • Change fuel mixture with less oil;
  • cleaning the air filter and muffler (because of its clogging the engine runs, but does not develop speed);
  • Check fuel line and replace tube if necessary.

If cutting speed slows down, bar is “wobbling”, check sharpness of saw teeth. A well sharpened chain is more important than a strong engine. It is best to give it to a master for sharpening or use a machine with a rotary sharpening disk. Druzhba saw blade bevel on lower edge is 45° and on lateral edge is 60°. The height of the limiters in relation to the chain teeth must be uniform and checked after 3 to 4 sharpenings of the chain.

It is recommended to place the chain for some time in liquid lubricant, preferably heated.

The reasons why the Druzhba saw does not start can be the following:

When reassembling, even if parts are seated with tension, no force should be used, for example, knocking on them with a hammer. If you need to replace worn parts you can make your chain saw work again or extend its life.

Why the Druzhba 4 does not pick up speed

Starting up the Druzhba 4 chain saw is the most technically complicated process that involves all the chain saw’s systems. But if you manage to start the engine, but when you press the throttle grip, the saw does not pick up speed, there may be many reasons:

  • Engine trouble: Engine life is exhausted, cylinder or piston rings are worn, rusted or scuffed;
  • Faults in the ignition system: the spark plug or coil winding has failed. the spark is weak or does not form at all, cannot ignite the fuel mixture;
  • Malfunctions in the carburetor: improper adjustment, unbalanced fixing bolts of the carburetor cover;
  • Leaks in the fuel system, engine crankcase;
  • There is heavy soot in the muffler and it is difficult to exhaust.

Troubleshoot ignition system malfunctions

  • Unscrew the spark plug, dry it if it is filled with fuel, replace it with a new one if it has a heavy black sludge.
  • Check that the coil is not pressed too close to the magnets, the distance to 0,2 mm and the free movement. If this is not the case, fix the coil to the necessary distance.

If these manipulations didn’t help, you can check the whole spark plug assembly for spark plugs through the power lead. If you still have a spark but can’t understand what’s wrong it’s better to take your chain saw to a service.

Troubleshooting the causes of carburetor unit malfunction

  • Check and correct carburetor adjustment on your chainsaw. To learn how to do this, see above.
  • Remove the carburetor cover, check the presence of all parts and their travel inside the block, fasten the cover in place by evenly tightening the fastening screws, checking the tight fit of the carburetor cover.

Eliminate the causes of malfunction of the exhaust system

Dismantle the muffler, remove the soot from the walls mechanically, if necessary you can use white spirit, VD-40 or other solvents.

In other cases we advise you not to repair it yourself and to trust the professionals at the service center.

Faulty ignition

Most often we think about repair after the chainsaw has stopped starting, or there are visual signs of serious damage.

Signs of ignition failure:

  • The chainsaw starts, but runs roughly (trots), often sneezes and shoots;
  • The power of the chain saw has noticeably decreased;
  • When sharply pressing the accelerator pedal, sagging in the work of the engine is observed;
  • Chainsaw doesn’t start well when cold, it throws up a lot until it warms up;
  • Fuel consumption has increased significantly;

If your chainsaw is malfunctioning like this, it’s time to diagnose, adjust, or possibly repair the ignition system.

Determining the location of the malfunction:

First of all, it is necessary to inspect the spark plug, if or on it accumulated a lot of soot, then the cause of the malfunction is most likely related to the work of the carburetor, piston group or fuel quality. If visually the spark plug looks serviceable, it does not get stuck and it is dry. make sure there is a spark.

  • Unscrew the spark plug, put the ignition cable on it;
  • Using pliers with insulated handles, press the threads of the spark plug against the body of the motor;
  • Pull the starter grip briskly and check for a spark;

Spark plug and chain saw nut

If there is no spark, replace the spark plug with a new one and test again. Making sure that the spark is present, start the engine. But what to do if even on a faulty spark plug there is no spark? Let’s continue the search:

  • Testing the electric cable for a breakage and insufficient contact with the spark plug. Check if the spring in the cap of the spark plug is working and if there is contact with the armature cable;

To check the serviceability of electrical wiring, it is best to use a tester.

You can set the correct gap with a dipstick, they are not in short supply and are available for a small fee.

Diagnosing the malfunction with a multimeter

You can also determine if the ignition coil is defective by the so-called hardware method. However, for this you should have a multimeter, which is used for diagnostics.

Step-by-step diagnosis of the ignition with a multimeter:

  • Set the multimeter to a position where the arrow is at the 200 ohm mark.
  • Reading the chainsaw manual. we find out the optimal resistance for the coil winding, installed on our model (in most modern chainsaws this parameter varies within 3-5 ohms).);
  • Connect the multimeter to the coil primary winding and measure the resistance; if the resistance is normal, continue testing;
  • Connect a multimeter to the secondary winding of the coil, compare the readings obtained with those indicated in the operating manual;
  • Connect the multimeter to the hole in the coil, in which the wires are inserted. If the device gives normal readings, we conclude that the coil is serviceable. If the measurement results are far from optimal, it will be necessary to replace the unit (coil) with a new one;

Step by step adjustment of the ignition of the chainsaw:

  • Diagnose the fault;
  • Remove the protective cover;
  • Remove the module with the candlestick and the electric cable. Carry out their visual inspection, if necessary replace with a new one;
  • Install the ignition module, but do not tighten the mounting screws as far as they will go;

Determine the area on the flywheel with a magnet;

Important: special attention, when repairing the chainsaw ignition, should be paid to the alignment of the correct gap between the module and the flywheel.

You should also check to see if the flywheel is clinging to the module with the counterweight. If it does, you may have a failed bearing or play on the shaft.

Construction of a starter motor

It is not uncommon for chainsaw manufacturers to equip their units with starters that work on basically the same principle, namely: there is a handle in the groove of the saw housing, through which the cord is passed. When you suddenly raise the handle, the cord is pulled out as well, causing the ratchet drum to engage. This is how the sprocket drum, which is located on the shaft, is set in motion. At this time, the crankshaft makes several revolutions, leading to the compression of the fuel mixture, which at this moment is between the cylinder head and the piston. When the handle is lowered, on the contrary, the ratchet and the studs lose their contact, causing the shaft to stop.

Design and principle of chain saw starter

Increasing the power of the chainsaw increases the amount of fuel mixture that needs to be ignited when starting the chainsaw. In such a case, to start the engine, it is necessary to increase the number of jerks of the starter cord. To speed up the return of the drum mechanism, manufacturers use a special steel starter return spring, which has excellent elasticity.

If the spring is broken, it is necessary to: remove the mechanism cage, pull out the spring, fixing the upper part of it with your finger and pulling the starter grip a little to the side. Then, coil a new part, avoiding kinking and twisting of the new spring element, then carefully fix the cage.

Backlash between chainsaw coil and magneto

The gap between the coil and the magneto of the chainsaw

It’s not uncommon to encounter situations where tool users come in with faulty ignition. Often it really turns out to be faulty, but often the ignition coil has nothing to do with the instrument failure. The following is a description of how to check the condition of the ignition coil.

Initial checks of the ignition system.

Before you test the ignition module, check that the following parts of the circuit are in good condition:

  • spark plugs and switch
  • the condition of the spark plug cap: it must be tightly fastened on the plug, the high-voltage wire is not flying out of the cap and coil, the material of the cap does not have cracks
  • the high-voltage wire is not damaged on the whole length, contacts and connections of the wires are tight without any traces of corrosion
  • Visually inspect coil body for cracks and visible defects
  • Remove contaminated current-conducting parts and assemblies
  • change the gas station if possible: you will like the gasoline more bad

The meaning of these actions is to exclude from the list of possible defects our client remains elements of the circuit, not counting the coil. If there is anything left to do our client is fine, let’s move on.

What is a good spark for? Little physics of the process.

Quality of spark defines its ability to ignite correctly formed air-fuel mixture in the working criteria. The initial ignition of the consistency is carried out in the spark as it is also called as a breakdown cord from the pulse of the electronic current generated by the ignition coil. In solving this question, the place is virtually instantaneous heating of gasoline and oxygen molecules, from what factors they enter into a chemical combustion reaction. Then it spreads wholly over the volume of consistency at the usual velocity of 30-40 m/s, forming a combustion front of a certain shape. The method of existence of a spark and ignition occurs in 1-2ms.

It is clear that any differences in spark characteristics lead to malfunction. Circumstances of such deviations are many. Common:

  • unstable in temperature operation of the ignition module: when cool, the coil works fine, when warm it stops working. Appears in the normal operation of the motor on cool, and failure on warm. It is justified by the fact that inside the coil are diodes, transistors and a capacitor. Failure of any of these parts will only appear on warmup.
  • faulty spark plug. We will not repeat here. You will find the material on the web.
  • bad contact, rust at the connection point and faulty switch we will not explain here
  • The spark plug has a frayed (torn, melted, etc) spark plug.д.) high-voltage wire. Here too, it is clear to our customer

How to set the ignition on a chainsaw

Periodic adjustment of the chainsaw’s ignition must be performed. This operation means adjusting the spark plug gap between the coil and the flywheel. Parameter depends on the model of chainsaw. It is in the instruction manual. The average value is the parameter 0,2-0,4 mm. Having the right gap is important so that the spark appears at the right moment, i.e. е. not too early or too late in the fuel supply.

To adjust the ignition on the chainsaw special templates will help, but it is not always advisable to buy them for one-time use. Therefore, you can replace them with a homemade. To make it, you need to cut a strip from a plastic bottle. The part of the container where there is no embossing is suitable. After that, you can install the ignition, acting in the following sequence:

  • Loosen the ignition bolts slightly to loosen the.
  • The magnets, which are located on the flywheel, lead to the ignition coil.
  • Clamp the plastic plate between the flywheel and the coil, and then screw the bolts back on.
  • Remove the strip.
  • Turn the flywheel a full turn several times in a row, making sure that it does not cling anywhere.

If during the diagnostics any malfunctions of the coil were found and it was not possible to adjust it, then the part should be replaced, because the repair is inexpedient.
