To protect your eyes from dust and particulate matter while working, a dust mask, safety glasses.

History and types of tools

The origin of the angle grinder (angle grinder) dates back to 1954, and it was created by designers from Germany. The main purpose of the tool was to grind, cut and deburr various products (mostly metals). At that time, the machine was imported to the Soviet Union from the country of origin, Bulgaria. From there appeared such an interesting name of the tool.

Angle grinders are classified by size and power. There are:

  • Large (up to 50 cm in length, up to 16 cm in height, and with a power limit of up to 3 kW), which are used in industrial plants.
  • Medium-sized (up to 35 cm long and 13 cm high, with a maximum power rating of 1.5 kW), used for professional work.
  • Small (up to 27 cm in length, up to 11 cm in height, and with a power limit of up to 1.2 kW), which are used in the home.

Information! Use of angle grinder is possible for processing stone, metal, plastic. For each material there is an appropriate type of wheel. Cutting wood with an angle grinder is categorically not recommended for safety reasons.

Disc selection

Diameter, thickness and type of disc are selected according to the type of work planned. Diameters range from 125 mm (small) to 250 mm (large, the most common) and affect the size (thickness and depth) of the cut.

angle grinder for metal cutting requires a cutting disc with a thickness of 1.0-1.2 mm (professional grinders reach up to 2.5 mm). The shape-cutting on thin metal implies the use of a disc with a small diameter or already used.

In the process of cutting with the use of discs of any diameter, it is necessary to use a protective cover. a hood. It is essentially a shield needed to catch small metal scraps from the cutting process.

What angle grinders can be found on Russian shelves

Angle grinder differ from each other not only by size and weight, but also by disc rotation speed. Heavier medium-sized angle grinders accelerate the disc to 6000-7000 rpm. The speed is not fast for this kind of tool, but the power allows you to “dissolve” pretty thick-walled metal.

Useful to know! The lower the RPM, the larger the disc diameter can be used for work.

Smaller angle grinders have a very high disc speed

Small angle grinders have a very high disc speed

For domestic needs are often used angle grinders, which have a very low weight, which allows you to hold it with one hand, and reduced size. Such angle grinder develops speed up to 16 000 rpm., and the discs used for work are very small.

There are also very large angle grinders, which can only be operated with a special stand, but they are used only for industrial purposes and in general they can already be attributed to the category of face saws. Such equipment will not be discussed today.

The medium-sized angle grinder has higher power, but the number of disk revolutions per minute is less

Secrets of safe work with the angle grinder

To reduce the risk of injury, various safety elements are used: work suits of thick fabric, Plexiglas mask, gloves. However, only following basic rules can give you confidence in safety at work, which will now be considered.

Rule of thumb: Positioning the adjustable handle

The handle should be on top. Many craftsmen screw it in from the side, in a horizontal position, claiming that it gives a better view of the cutting area and therefore greater safety, but this is a dangerous misconception. Only by vertically positioning the handle upwards is it possible to ensure a firm grip and protect yourself and others against the possibility of the angle grinder flying out of your hands when the disc jams.

The handle must be upright to ensure a secure grip

Many people will ask what the side handle position is for. It is used for grinding works when there is no risk of the blade getting caught in metal parts.

Rule: Direction of rotation of the blade

Inexperienced craftsmen often assume that the disk should rotate while making a cut “away from themselves” so that sparks fly away from the operator. However, no specialist who has experience working with angle grinders will not agree with this statement. The thing is that a special guard protects from flying sparks, so the masters are not afraid of them. The question here is: How will the angle grinder behave in the event of a disc jamming with metal??

When rotating “on itself”, a sharply stopped jammed disk causes the angle grinder to break from the hands of the operator in the direction of the ground, i.e.е. away from the craftsman. If the same happens during reverse rotation, “away from you”, the angle grinder can fly into the head of the person working with it, which at best is very unpleasant, but at worst fraught with not only a hospital bed, but also more dire consequences.

The disc must rotate in a “toward you” direction. The safety guard prevents sparks from flying into your eyes and makes you safer to use

Rule of thumb: Positioning of the metal when cutting

Many beginners make the serious mistake of securing the pipe or channel to be sawn from both sides and starting the cut between the fasteners. With this positioning there is a high probability of the blade jamming at the end of the cut. To give you an example, think of a board that everyone has cut at least once in their life. Towards the end the hacksaw gets jammed and you have to look for a position that leads to the opposite effect. Same story with pipes. One end must be in the balance. In this case it is the side of the blade that unclamps and not the side of the saw blade that jams.

Important! Watch the condition of the edge of the blade. At higher cutting speeds a slight edge breakage can cause the circular saw blade to break and result in serious injury.

Keep the edge of the part in balance. this prevents the disc from jamming

Rule of thumb: Never use the side of the blade

Many “craftsmen” say that sharpening drills by the side of the cutting wheel is absolutely safe. Sometimes this misconception can cost lives. After all, the wheel itself consists of the abrasive, which is reinforced on both sides by metal or fiberglass mesh. If the hardening layer gets damaged, the abrasive might not be able to withstand the rotation speed and be blown to pieces. That’s why only the front surface is considered working.

Do not use the metal cutting wheel for wood either. Despite the fact that this material is softer, the rotation of the wheel sharply increases its temperature, which leads first to the appearance of smoke, and when you continue working. to the melting of the adhesive base of the disk. The result can be disintegration, which, again, can lead to injury.

Working on the side surface of the disc is forbidden

Rule : the nuances of working with an angle grinder

When installing the disk on the angle grinder, many people try to thoroughly pull the nut with the wrench that comes with. It is a big mistake. The wrench is only intended for unscrewing. A mounted disc just needs to be tightened by hand. angle grinder is designed so that the nut is screwed in the process. That is why it is difficult or even impossible to unscrew the nut afterwards if you use a spanner for installation.

It is also worth paying attention to the start of the angle grinder. The button should be pressed only if there is nothing in the way of the disk. This means that the wheel must never be plunged into the starting cut before it has spun out and begun its work cycle.

Secrets of safe work with the angle grinder

In order to reduce the risk of injury, various elements of protection are used: work suits made of thick fabric, a mask made of plexiglass, gloves. However, only following the basic rules can give confidence in safety at work, which will now be discussed.

Rule of thumb: Positioning the adjustable handle

The handle must be upwards. Many craftsmen screw it in from the side, horizontally, saying that it gives them a better view of the cutting area and therefore greater safety, but this is a dangerous misconception. Only with the handle in the upright position is it possible to ensure a firm grip and protect yourself and others from the situation where the angle grinder just “bites” into the grinding wheel and runs out of hand.

The top position of the handle is important for a secure grip

Many people will ask what the side-mounted handle is for. It is used for grinding works, when there is no danger of the blade catching on metal parts.

Rule: Direction of rotation of the blade

Inexperienced craftsmen often believe that the disk should rotate, making a cut “away from yourself” so that the sparks fly away from the operator. However, no expert who has experience working with angle grinders, with this statement will not agree. The fact is that a special guard protects against flying sparks, so they are not afraid of the master. This raises another question: How will the angle grinder react if the disc jams in the metal??

If the jammed disk is rotated fully towards you, the angle grinder is jerked out of the operator’s hands and onto the ground.е. away from the master. If this happens in reverse rotation, “away”, the angle grinder can fly into the head of the person working with it, which at best would be very unpleasant, and at worst fraught not only with a hospital bed, but also with more dire consequences.

The disk should rotate “on itself”. The safety guard avoids sparks in the eyes and is safer to use

Rule: Position the metal when cutting it

Many novice craftsmen make the serious mistake of fixing the pipe or channel to be sawed on both sides and starting to cut between the fasteners. If so, it is more likely that the saw blade will jam at the end of the cut. To give you an example, think of a board that everyone has cut at least once in their life. Towards the end, the hacksaw jams and you have to look for a position that will have the opposite effect. It is the same with pipes. One end must be in the balance. In this case there will be unclamping, not jamming.

Important! Check the condition of the saw blade edge. At higher cutting speeds a slight edge breakage can cause the circular saw blade to break and lead to serious injury.

The edge of the workpiece must be in balance. this prevents the disc from jamming

Rule of thumb: Never use the side edge of the disc

Many “craftsmen” say that sharpening bits with the side of the cutting wheel is absolutely safe. Sometimes this mistake can be life-threatening. After all, the wheel itself consists of an abrasive, which is reinforced on both sides by a metal or fiberglass mesh. If the reinforcing layer is damaged, the abrasive may not be able to withstand the spinning speed and may be blown apart. That is why only the end surface is considered working.

You should also not use a metal cutting wheel for wood sawing. Even though this material is softer, the rotation of the wheel can cause a rapid rise in temperature that can lead to smoke at first and then cause the adhesive backing of the wheel to melt as the work continues. The result can be its destruction, which, again, leads to injuries.

Work on the side plane of the disk is prohibited

Rule : nuances of working with an angle grinder

When installing a disc on an angle grinder, many people try to tighten the nut thoroughly with the included wrench. This is a big mistake. This wrench is designed only for unscrewing. It is enough to tighten the installed disc manually. angle grinder is designed so that the nut is screwed in the process. That’s why using a wrench during installation will lead to difficulties and sometimes to inability to unscrew the nut afterwards.

It is also worth paying attention to the start of the angle grinder. The button should be pressed only if nothing obstructs the disk. This means that in no case can you dip the wheel in the initial cut before it unscrews and enters the working cycle of rotation.

The nut must be tightened by hand. no wrench is used

Top 10 best jigsaws. In this publication we will consider the differences of household models from professional, the advantages of mains and cordless jigsaws, and what you need to pay attention to when buying.

The main rule of safety: the choice of disc for the angle grinder

When choosing a wheel for an angle grinder, you should pay attention to its rotational speed. The higher it is, the smaller will be the disc diameter. The maximum permissible rotation speed is always indicated on the side of the disc. These findings must not be ignored under any circumstances. Here is a real-life example.

Do not repeat! A worker could not find a small cutting wheel for an angle grinder with a speed of 16000 rpm, so he removed the protective cover and installed a large disc with a maximum speed of 6600 rpm. When he tightened the nut, he pressed the start button, which, of course, caused the disk to fly apart in an instant. The result. the absence of two fingers on the left hand, damage to the eye and numerous minor injuries.

Similar accidents regularly occur on construction sites. There were several reasons for this. Many people “blame” themselves for the lack of instructions at the workplace, but it must be remembered that safety must first and foremost be ensured for oneself. And this means that it is necessary to know the rules and follow them in the first place to the worker himself.

Why do millions of people cut sparks from themselves and what is the danger to them?

The angle grinder is the most popular tool in terms of injury risk. If ever someone makes a rating of tools that cripple people, the first place will definitely take the angle grinder, leaving far behind any other machine or tool. And in most cases it’s due to improper operation.

By the way at the end of this publication will be a video with a very simple, but at the same time with a very effective way to protect against sparks. And so, if we grind wood or metal, then there is no question, it is clearly necessary to grind so that the chips and dust from grinding flew away from us. Even if the disk breaks during metal cleaning, the shards will fly away from you, and if some of them will fly to you, they will be simply taken up by the protective cover. The main question is in what direction should the sparks fly from the angle grinder if we are cutting metal? Towards you or away from you? When we start cutting metal, there’s a theoretical possibility of kickback along with the sparks. For those who don’t know what I mean, recoil. it is an instantaneous reaction to a jammed disc. The clamping causes the rotating mechanism of the angle grinder to stop momentarily, which causes the uncontrolled angle grinder (which is stupidly ripped out of your hands when the disc jams) to start its movement in the direction of the disc’s rotation. And in this case the angle grinder is either moving towards you or away from you.Let’s draw a schematic diagram of both to see how sparks, splinters and the tool itself behave.

According to this scheme, if you cut with sparks toward you, there is a risk that if the disk breaks, the shards will fly toward you. But even if the disc breaks, in the “sparks on itself” position, the blade guard takes all the splinters. I say this from personal experience, in my memory, I had 4 times the disc “sparks on themselves” and not once in my direction was not even a hint of flying splinter (each time the angle grinder had a protective cover). And the most important thing is that when we cut with sparks toward ourselves, we should not stand behind the angle grinder but slightly to the side of it, away from the predicted flight of splinters. And now the most important danger that lurks in the angle grinder. Sparks and splinters are child’s play. Kickback. Here is the most important test, which can organize you an angle grinder. When cutting metal, for various reasons, the cutting disc can get jammed. And then we have the recoil. Even the smallest angle grinder in this case is almost impossible to hold in hands, what to say about larger models. So, if we cut with sparks on ourselves, the tool will simply vomit out of our hands, and it will fly in the opposite direction to the operator. But if you cut with sparks from yourself, then when you recoil, the tool, which even with the trigger released, continues to rotate by inertia at a speed of 10.000 rpm, will fly into the cameraman. If you have a bit of imagination, you can imagine severed arms and legs and severed arteries, and a lot of other things quite appropriate for a Hitchcock movie plot.So why do people keep cutting sparks from themselves?? It’s simple, has anyone ever seen a flash bang grenade explode?? Lots of sound, light, smoke, but it doesn’t do any damage. It’s the same with the angle grinder, people are afraid of sparks, because until the angle grinder jams, in their opinion, that’s what they should be afraid of the most.I’m waiting for your opinion in the Комментарии и мнения владельцев. And the video, which I promised at the beginning of this publication:

“Well, if we cut with sparks on ourselves, then the tool will just rip out of our hands and it will fly in the opposite direction to the operator. But if you cut with sparks to yourself, then the tool, which even with the trigger released, continues to rotate by inertia at a speed of 10.000 rpm, it’s gonna hit the operator. “

You should read the post before you send it in. Especially one that, like, teaches health and safety. Correct.

TC, answer a few questions, be sure to answer. Why is it made so that both the handles and the shroud can be repositioned?? How to saw, that and sparks to himself, and the disk to be on the right, that these sparks do not fly into the belly? Why is there no grinders with a different direction of rotation. that and the sparks to themselves. and the disc on the right side of the angle grinder, like on a chainsaw?

Barber not often, safety on the work of the angle grinder has not studied, most of the IT and more of an office worker, but, straining my brain, I remember, however, that always cut so that sparks are flying between the legs and otherwise somehow even uncomfortable to take the tool.

But I have a Russian machine with a small 125mm disc, maybe with professional German/Japanese or ultra-desy Chinese tools this is not the case and the direction of rotation changes in three planes and discs themselves from the Internet are automatically loaded.

Fuck, you write just to take a shit. It is written clearly and distinctly, sparks from yourself get angle grinder in the forehead, sparks on itself, angle grinder flies forward

You missed the most important thing: if you’re an idiot, don’t handle a tool at all, you can injure your toe with a turned off angle grinder too.

I, while working, jammed the disk at 300, the disk did not fly apart, angle grinder did not fly away, I held tight, felt a blow on the wrists, and that’s all, it seems nothing hurts. The next morning I couldn’t go pee, I couldn’t feel my hands, I had bruised joints, like radiuses and wrists, I was on sick leave for 10 days.

I tell it from personal experience, in my memory at me 4 times blew up a disk “sparks on itself” and not once in my direction there was not even a hint of a splinter flight

Russian roulette is perfectly safe that 83.3% of testers. The remaining 16.7% could not confirm or deny this statement

I think you seriously overestimate the payoff. I’ve had a drive jammed many times, and it always broke, and the recoil was negligible. I had no problem holding an angle grinder. If the disc jams and doesn’t break, the recoil distance will be limited by the radius of the disc.

Woe is the workman who thought of sawing a kerosene barrel with an angle grinder

Hi there. Saw this post about the angle grinder and disk on wood and decided to add my story to the piggy bank.

Anyone who reads my posts can understand that I’ve worked as a taxi driver, and worked on my truck, and now I work as an ambulance driver.

I do not remember exactly what year it was. But I think it was 2017 or 2018. But not the point.

It’s not a truck. And such an ordinary Japanese three-ton truck with a booth. Last where I worked on it. I used to drive beers around stores and bars. There was a step at the back of the van so you could easily get up inside. But after a while of all the backwards motion to all the ramps. The micro impact created a crack in the step mount and as a consequence it broke off. Well, I’m a handy man sometimes. I have a welder, an angle grinder, but Not having experience how to weld all this and such began to do. In general, the welding helmet was available (at least something I guessed, my eyes remember bunnies from my childhood). I cleaned it off, welded it on. I decided to use an angle grinder to remove the excess scale to make it look nicer. So I lay down on my back under the car, and I start carefully grinding away the scale. Everything seemed to go smoothly. But I got something in my eye. And I tried to wash it off with water. didn’t help. Came home I look in the mirror and see a small such dot in the right eye directly on the iris. I thought maybe I could scratch something and it would go away. I didn’t tell anybody. Went to bed.

My eye is irritated in the morning, but I’m still sure it was just me scratching, coke washed my eye. My wife says what’s wrong, and then my mom calls me (as she must have felt it). As a result, after hearing my story, they kicked me to the trauma room.

There’s always a line at the trauma center. Who with a leg, an arm, a cut, a sprain and so on. I’m the only one with an eye. I waited in line, I went in. I explain my story to the trauma surgeon. He looks at me and says: “Young man, you don’t need to see me. At the end of the corridor to the right is the ophthalmologist’s office.” I apologize. Moving away. There was no line at the right office.

There was a girl who saw me. I asked for complaints and started to look around. And I found a splinter in this little spot! Steel shavings! Then she sprinkled or dripped (I don’t remember) some painkillers. She sat me down at her microscope torture machine. I jerked my chin up and SEEED that she had passed a needle in her eye. I was really screwed up. Even thought: What will happen? If while it appears with a needle and me in the eye I sneeze, cough. At that moment, I forgot how to breathe. But all went well that piece of shavings was taken out and recommended the drops for 5 days and sent home. Now I put on goggles for even 5 seconds to make noise with an angle grinder. Or else I might sneeze.

Ceramic Tile Polishing

In the construction industry, the angle grinder takes a leading place among the tools. With special discs and nozzles perform cutting and polishing of ceramic products, preparing them for installation. Requires a special consumable on the diamond grinder angle grinder, because cutting ceramics usual cutting wheel will lead to breakage or cracking in the tile.

Dry-cutting discs for tiles are divided into segmented and solid. Both types do not need constant cooling. that’s why they got their name.

The solid discs are cooled only after 1-2 minutes of work by dipping the disc in cold water. The segmented type cools itself through slots, but they are not always suitable for cutting ceramic tiles due to the formation of chips on the surface of the material. Segmented or solid disc handles ceramic material and any natural stone. Sometimes with quality work it is possible to cut paving tiles without deformation with a household angle grinder or to process the edge part of the cut.

Cutting in a straight line

Unlike cutting wood, ceramic is a fragile and demanding material that deforms easily under high loads. That’s why discs are preselected according to the density of the stone. Speed must be higher than for low-density materials.

The most effective way to cut ceramic tiles with 115 mm diameter wheels at a speed of about 6-8 thousand revolutions per minute. Not every household angle grinder has such power, so you have to find a tool with the necessary characteristics.

The procedure when working with the material is divided into several stages:

  • The tile is placed on a flat surface with a clamp secured and marked in the cutting area.
  • The cutting starts gradually along the surface of the whole tile. At the beginning, a 1-1,5 mm deep groove must be made, gradually increasing.
  • Move the angle grinder during the cut evenly and slowly. You can not put pressure on the unit, because it itself deepens into the tile under its own weight.
  • It makes no sense to completely cut the material. Most often, a nail is placed under the tile and a simple press is used to break it.

Processing of metal with an angle grinder

Working metal with an angle grinder is the most difficult. This is mainly due to the large amount of red-hot sparks that appear when cutting this material. Manipulation is carried out only in a fireproof protection. In addition, you should clean the work area of objects that can catch fire when a spark hits.

Cutting metal products requires care, patience, and basic skills. It will help to keep the angle grinder on the weight, which will prevent jerking and sucking the disc into the hole.

A number of rules should be followed when cutting metal products:

  • All workpieces are securely clamped and stripped of rust.
  • It is best to cool the metal before cutting.
  • The disc can jam the workpiece, so it is better to gradually increase the depth of cut.
  • There is no need to push the angle grinder, as it quietly cuts under its own weight.

angle grinder is an indispensable aid in any household or large construction jobs. It helps you work on any material with a minimum of effort and time. Beginning experience and tips are enough to handle this tool successfully. The main thing is to observe safety rules in the process of work, which will help to avoid serious injuries.

Safety precautions

Never disregard safety precautions when working with a grinder. At the end I will tell a real case from my practice. But first things first.

The safety guard would not allow you to severely injure yourself if the disc breaks, but it does not guarantee 100% safety either. And if you look at the photo below, it is clear that the jacket does not guarantee 100% protection from sparks. That’s why it is also necessary to wear protective goggles, and preferably a mask.

Special. clothing.

Clothing must protect you from flying sparks. Even if it’s very hot, it’s a good idea to put on overalls when you’re working. Clothing must not be “plastic”, otherwise it could melt or even catch fire. All the buttons are buttoned up, nothing hangs down, nothing hangs loose. Т.к. It is not safe, especially when working with big grinders.

When working with the angle grinder, I recommend wearing only thick gloves. Use gloves No. 1 if you have nothing else. Better than with your bare hands. Number 2 is actually welding gloves, but I use them because they cover my hands almost up to the elbow. These are not cheap, so I recommend using regular but thick gloves:

What can your angle grinder do??

Today will be a short, but I hope, useful post about the angle grinder (angle grinder) and its use, based on my personal experience. For those who got here by accident. the last three years I am engaged in housebuilding, including. technical supervision and correction of problems encountered by customers due to violations of construction technology by their contractors. Because of this, I have experience as both a homebuilder and a handyman. I need to be able to quickly navigate the situation and be able to make repairs with whatever fits in the trunk of my car.

And although there is a lot that fits in there, I try to make the most of each available tool, rather than buy a separate special device for a procedure that may have to be done once and for all.

So, first we need to understand that in addition to the angle grinder (angle grinder), there is a device that is similar to it, but completely unsuitable for our purposes. This PPM is a polishing machine, which looks like an angle grinder. They differ in the speed of the spindle, i.e. the number of revolutions per minute. The standard angle grinder without a RPM regulator has about 10,000 RPM. the CPM rotates at 2,000 to 3,000 rpm.

angle grinder with speed regulator combines the functions of an angle grinder and an angle grinder. And although I have one, today I will tell you about the most simple angle grinder, with fixed speed, which is in the arsenal of almost every craftsman.

So, despite the word “grinding” in the name of the device more often angular grinder is used for cutting metals, which it perfectly copes with the standard abrasive disc. There is not much to say, most have experience with cutting discs. About myself I can add that, in my experience, when sawing thick metal elements of solid metal, you should not use too thin discs (0.7-1.2 mm), t.к. They wear quickly and do not forgive errors at the slightest deviation from the axis of the cut. Well, it is clear that the small angle grinder is not worth cutting rails. it will work at the power limit and will soon be out of order.

Also, the angle grinder can be used directly for grinding. For example, using a petal disc (right in the last row above in the photo), or using a rubber disc with Velcro and sanding discs on Velcro (mounted on the angle grinder). Blade blade bad that, firstly, quickly clogged, its replacement takes time and money. he does not cost very much-too-cheap. The advantages are that it grinds aggressively, it is convenient to clean metal from rust. Velcro discs are very quick and inexpensive to change, and different grit sizes of abrasives can be used to achieve the required result. When working with a rubber grinding wheel, it is important not to put pressure on the tool, while learning to hold it horizontally to the surface of the workpiece. Then the result of processing will be no worse than after a thicknesser or an electric planer. This results in a surface that feels good and is very smooth. The disadvantage is that to master the technical tricks of working with such a disk still need. taking the wrong angle is easy to screw up the workpiece by selecting it the recess edge of the disk.

Using the grinding or abrasive discs angle grinder can sharpen tools and knives, but here you need to have good experience, because at high speed, any wrong motion can lead to the fact that the cutting edge will be screwed up, with proper effort even irreparably.

Can I saw wood with an angle grinder?? Despite the horror stories of open chests and sawn skulls, I can responsibly say that you can. That said, I don’t deny the veracity of these stories. All of them happened when they did not comply with safety precautions and when installing circular saw blades on the angle grinder. Therefore, if you do not want to become a constructor for the surgeon, use only specialized discs for angle grinder. On the KDPV, they are in the second row and are represented by three-toothed and multi-toothed discs. The multi-toothed one has a tooth setter to prevent the teeth from jamming. These discs are suitable for rough cutting of sheet material and boards, for trimming and wood sampling in awkward places. In most cases, an angle grinder with such a disc replaces my Renovator. Also, with these discs you can select semicircular grooves in wood. For a smooth cut you need a steady hand, of course, or better yet, a support sole, like a circular saw.

Some manufacturers have universal discs for wood and plastic. In the photo below is a disc from Bosch. over, they have discs for working on wood with nails.

Well, with wood, I get it. What do you think of concrete?? The angle grinder is all right there too. Even with a 125 mm disc it can easily cut paving stone or paving tiles, help you punch through walls for electric cables or cut unwanted corners on concrete products. The best way to do this is to use steel discs with diamond coating that cut through concrete like sausage. The only downside is that the dust flies like a cloud. In the photo, the discs are in the first upper row. And first in the bottom is the diamond cup, which is equally good with concrete and wood. For example, if you need to remove a large amount of wood, it is better to use it first, and after the rubber wheel for the final sanding.

If necessary, the angle grinder can be equipped with a diamond drill bit for drilling holes in concrete. For example, in the photo below. bit for 83 mm, which is mounted directly on the shaft of the angle grinder.

In addition to accessories shown in the photo to the angle grinder can put steel brushes for grinding, an adapter for cutters or drills, the nozzle converts the angle grinder in a chain saw, an adapter for installing a belt grinder and other exotic. Whether they are necessary. you decide, I still prefer to have a drill, a saw and a milling machine as separate devices.

As you can see, in experienced hands, the angle grinder is a versatile tool that is applicable in both locksmithing and carpentry. It greatly simplifies life and speeds up the cutting and processing of various materials. from wood to metal and concrete. Take the angle grinder seriously and work with it will bring you only positive emotions
